Poor service, good food, but took a ridiculous amount of time to come. Booked the table 3 weeks in advance. Got offered a full refund
The food was excellent and all the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the Market cafe, really delicious dishes and very fresh food
Friendly staff, tasty meal, relaxing atmosphere. Booking online was easy! I would definitely recommend Market Cafe - both for a family lunch and evening drinks with friends.
Very tasty food and a chilled out atmosphere. Hackney cup cocktail was delicious, as were the the avocado and eggs on toast. Ratatouille and poached eggs were a real winner too!
The café has nice breakfast options, particularly when it comes to fresh fruit juices. The staff is very welcoming and the café's atmosphere is lovely!
Market café is a very nice place for sunday brunch, the location is great, the food is good. You feel a relax athmosphere, the deocration is lovely.
A little quiet but really friendly staff and great food
Friendly service in a bright space. Brunch (fry up) came out super quick. Can be seen as a positive and negative. I would have expected a more for the price (£9.75) But will be back to try the rest of the interesting menu. Something for everyone on there.
Market Café is always lovely - we got a great table and the service was friendly and really quick. Fully recommend brunch here, particularly the ratatouille with a poached egg washed down with a couple of Hugos!
Nice cozy place (a bit noisy though)... I had pancakes, huge portion and very soft and moist. I highly recommend to go on a Saturday: perfect start before going to Broadway market!
The place is nice and service was good, they have a good selection of beers and the green juice was great! but food not so much, it was all very greasy and not very tasty.
Market cafe is a nice neighbourhood place in a nice location with good vibe. The food is not exceptional but of good quality with an interesting price to quality ratio
We had some brunch here but we did find the Eggs Benedict heavily tasted of vinegar. We wanted to have a few drinks with our food but our waitress really don't know what any of the cocktails on the menu consisted of so she has to go to the bar and come back to us once he asked the bar man. She was lovely though- just didn't have a notion of the drinks menu! We were given a nice table which was tucked away from the rest of the guests which was really nice.
Great ambience, very nice food, friendly and accommodating staff....the service was a little slow but this is not a problem if in no rush! :-)
Great food and atmosphere! Being a bank holiday, it was very busy but service was still efficient and attentive. We also had a baby with us and staff were very accommodating.
Had a great brunch here for Mother's Day. The food was good, although portion sizes seemed a little random depending on which dish you ordered.
Great food, lovely atmosphere. Sometimes a little hard to get the attention of the waiting staff because busy (perhaps could do with one or two extra on shift when that busy.
Great for brunch! Waited at the bar for a few minutes, then got seated. I had my small dog (miniature dachshund) with me and the manager and staff were very gracious towards him, which I really appreciated. The pancakes were to die for, and the juices were great for a hangover. I'll definitely be back.
Nice place. Wonferful eggs :) quite pricey though, but a great weekend option. It is on the Broadway Market itself, very well located. A must!
We sat for 20 minutes without even a menu before anyone acknowledged us. When they did, it was to inform us there was no running water in the restaurant this morning and asked if we'd like to order juice.. The glasses on the table looked dirty and I began to wonder how they would wash them without running water. We decided to leave.
Overpriced for what it is. Food was OK, but I don't think it justifies the price. I had a Reuben Sandwich and the meat was too tough, bit it was otherwise tasty. It cost about £8, but with no sides, just the sandwich.
Perfect way to start my boyfriend's birthday weekend. The food was delicious and although the place was packed, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
Nice brunch with prose co on tap. Good atmosphere next to the fun market. Would go again. Will try dinner next time yum yum yum
Lovely neighbourhood restaurant, great service & food. Real mix of people! Would recommend the salads, sharing plates in the evening and of course the prosecco on tap!
Very nice food, service and location. The prosecco on tap is lovely. Very chilled Sunday evening atmosphere and good music. They had run out of a few menu options after the lunch rush but were able to swap things for ip
Very good service and excellent food as always. Try one of their negronis before moving onto burrata and tomatoes. Steak also tender and perfectly cooked to order
Great food, Service & atmosphere. I generally only eat here for brunch or lunch but the dinner menu was equally as good! Highly recommend market Cafe!
Very friendly staff and great location will definitely be going back
Interesting menu that's well executed, lovely service, really handy location and good value too. Would highly recommend
Really good place for brunch. Friendly and attentive staff. Food was excellent - highly recommend the ham hock hash but plan to go back to try the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup.
We visited The Market Café on a Sunday lunch, we had trouble getting there due to all the Half Marathon traffic and they were very accommodating putting back our reservation by 30 minutes. The place is really cool light and airy and the staff super friendly. Loved the Prosecco on draft but as we were celebrating we decided to get a carafe (well several) which unusually didn't really work out any better value from what I could tell (poss even slightly worse). The food was fairly typical Brunch fare, there were small issues with at least 2 out of 4 of our dishes my partners 'fry up' had several cold items on it and my sisters Croque Monsieur only bore a passing resemblance to one and not in a good way, but the Burger looked really good. Overall really liked the place and would def go again.
