Loks Bar & Kitchen

Lunch on Friday with my elderly sister and my niece. I had eaten here before, but they were most impressed. Great food and lovely staff.

Food was great and were really attentive to our 8year old and 4 year old. Made no odds as the seconds choice was great too but they ran out of Sunday roast. Other than that great visit. Will be back soon.

Friendly staff, good food. Perhaps slightly expensive but as this was for a special occasion didn't mind paying. Fries were far too salty for my taste - in this day and age of health awareness, I think the customers should be salting their own fries(or not). Apart from that, thoroughly enjoyed our evening there.

Restaurant was really busy and they were having difficulty coping. Lobster, crab macaroni could have been warmer but will not stop us from returning. 3 courses and a drink for £20 good value.

Good food and atmosphere. Friendly staff. The three course and glass of wine for £20 deal is very good value with plenty of food choices.

Customer service was poor and had to wait 10 minutes on our table despite the fact we had made a reservation to avoid such a wait

Food was lovely! The service was great and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Due to the restrictions on the voucher there was a minimal choice of wine and it wasn't very nice.

We had a lovely meal food was lovely, and service was really good would recommend loks and would go back soon everyone had a lovely day it was our first time there.

Really nice place, friendly staff and the food is very good. Cocktails were OK but we have had better, there is an impressive range of beers to keep you going. Definitely worth a visit.

We were given 2 different table d'hote menus......one for 2 courses and the other for 3 courses. Then found out 2 course had been withdrawn though still advertised on website. Didn't particularly want 3 courses and apparently because of new set up on till....this was impossible. Was not impressed as there was no leeway given.

First visit to loks. Very impressed. Nice surroundings. Good staff and great food. Would recommend the pork belly. Fillet steak was also good. Will definitely be back.

Very nice meal. Staff were friendly and efficient and the meal was lovely. Good menu choices and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. Will definitely return.

Very good food and very good service. We all enjoyed our evening and would be happy to recommend the restaurant to anybody. We will certainly book again.

Food, atmosphere and service all brilliant :) would highly recommend Loks. Macaroni Cheese hit the nail on the head on a cold day. I just love this place.

Disappointed that I had decided to go there for Dinner based on the online price of £15 for a two course menu to be told by the waitress it was 20 for a three course even if you only ate 2 courses.

good food nice atmosphere. A great place to eat and meet. Helpfull staff and the fish platter was outstanding all in all a very good experience

Good food and very reasonable - £11.95 for the 2 course lunch. Unfortunately the service was very slow on Saturday at lunchtime - they seemed to be overwhelmed by the nearby football match. In fairness, the manager was very nice and apologetic.

Wonderful dinner. Great day with a visit from Santa. My son loved it, Santa made his day. We will be back and have booked a further 3 visits already.

Fantastic wee gem of a restaurant. I say wee....but it's so much more than it looks from outside! Staff were great, food was tasty. Great vibe!

Food and service was very good. Two large parties so it was a bit noisy.Moderate prices.Definitely worth a visit. Specials menu might be a good idea.

We have been many times to loks restaurant and this time like the others, the whole eating experience was exemplary with very friendly staff and prompt service.

The food is nice but the staff were taking food to the wrong tables we got three puddings and we hadn't had our starters more training is what they need

Service was pleasant enough but quite extraordinarily slow, we thought we had been forgotten between starter and main course, The food was reasonable in quantity but not well executed and very disappointing in quality and flavour, it was edible but that was about it. Pedestrian and unimaginative by today's standards, it was neither honest, tasty, good value pub grub nor something a bit more exciting and ambitious, we will certainly not be returning nor recommending it to friends

Food was amazing wth specific requests managed with ease. Staff were great, relaxed but efficient (we were late to arrive). We dined on a Saturday, coinciding with a local football teams match, so the road was very busy...I only knocked a point off as it would be good to of spotted signage for Loks parking rather than having to park in the local supermarket car park and risk a fine.

Best Sunday roast lunch ever, staff are very attentive, lovely atmosphere. Restaurant is warm and cosy, my first visit to this restaurant and it won't be my last, I loved everything about thie Lok..

My wife and I had lunch at Lok's as part of her birthday celebrations. From booking online to paying the bill, everything was perfect. Above all, the meal and the service were faultless, especially as my wife has dietary requirements. The staff were never told it was a special occasion, so their customer service must be at that level as the norm.

Good chouce from main, lunch and festive menu. Large portions nicely presented and staff efficient and friendly. We've eaten breakfast and lunch here on a few occasions and have always had a positive experience.

We had a great meal in Loks, cant fault a thing everything was great ,food and service was great,nice settings would definately go back .

I thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere at Lok's. I have been a few times & my meals were delicious. At my last visit I ordered the Thai chicken curry with Odin noodles as I had had this dish in the past & enjoyed it. This visit however I did not enjoy the meal as much. The curry was too watery & more like soup. I enjoyed my dessert though. This dulled my visit somewhat.

Nice restaurant, friendly staff and lovely food. Went for Christmas 2 course lunch menu, great value for the quality of food. Would recommend and definitely go back again.

First time there took my dad out for his 70th birthday, very nice atmosphere food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful

Three ladies lunching - all on the fantastic Senior menu. The food was excellent and the service was first class. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the Loks to all - we will, certainly, be back!

booked this without knowing anything about the restaurant but was glad I did. Lovely setting inside Lok's the staff were very friendly and food was superb would go back and will tell friends about this little gem.

Loks never fails to deliver in both service and food. Very reasonably priced for tasty, well presented food. Have been here a number of times and have nothing negative to say about it

Excellent resterant ,really bustling,good atmosphere, menu varied from burgers to steaks & good range of beers & wines.Staff very attentive & pleasant. I had the lamb rump which was very succulent & done to perfection & my friends both had the sirlion steak which was cooked just perfectly.We will be back

Meet was tough and not cooked asmefiem as requested. The well done request was fine. Witnessed waitress spill a pint over a lady who was soaked and had to leave dripping with a handbag full of liquid. Was not handled well. The lady and her husband were very upset.

Nice local restaurant that I have visited a few times.Pleasant and efficient staff in a relaxed atmosphere. Food is good value and Sunday roast is recommended.child friendly too.

A friendly welcome on a wet evening. Attentive and prompt service of drinks. Good choice of menus. Food was tasty and hot. Good atmosphere in both the bar and the restaurant.

As always we really enjoyed our lunch date in Lok's. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced and the staff were efficient and friendly. We also appreciated the quiet, relaxed atmosphere which allowed us to chat without straining to overcome loud, intrusive music.

Been twice before and it was very good but I didn't enjoy the veg lasagne.No veggies in it and far too much pasta.Very stodgy I'm afraid.

Service ok, food good value and enjoyable except the pate which had a strong unpleasant aftertaste. Drinks fair price, would avail of lunch menu again but not the pate

Food and service was excellent! Staff really look after you. After eating in the restaurant we spent the rest of the evening in the bar. Great night
