Loks Bar & Kitchen

We are regulars in Loks and went for dinner with 2 friends, who haven't been. Service was good and staff friendly as usual. We had a lovely meal and as it was my friends birthday I had taken a cake. The staff were good enough to bring it out at the end of the meal and sang Happy Birthday. All in all a lovely night. We intend to go back soon, my daughters birthday is coming up soon :)

Pleasant restaurant and lounge although partners complained they were a bit cold. Food excellent except for the King prawn starter - thick layer of plain lettuce with a few prawns and prawn marie rose sauce laid over it. Entertainment was excellent with Tom Urie doing a great turn.

Top restaurant with a menu to suit all. Food is great and well presented. We like the bar too and the DJ sessions are fun. Really good function room which offers a wide variety of activities to suit all tastes and ages.

The food was outstanding, every plate was cleared. The staff were very attentive and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything that we needed.

Excellent food, service and overall experience. 4th time at restaurant, as always 1st class, despite being exceptionally busy last night. With friends who hadn't been before, who were delighted with meal, service and exceptionally nice and attentive staff. They also will have no hesitation in recommending Loks. Additionally, great value for money, prices are excellent.

Lovely food although I was slightly disappointed with my main course. Would have preferred pork served with mash or baby potatoes. Great service as usual.

We booked last minute for new years ever and as we normally go here just the two of us I emailed them to make sure the teenagers we were brining were okay to come as we booked later for half 8. I received an email straight back to advise they were allowed to stay all night for the celebration until the restaurant closed and were aloud access to the bar with us which was great. I felt Loks were very accommodating. Staff were also dressed for the occasion and the number of separate events they had on did not deter from the quality of food which is always top notch.

Overall always amazing. Staff are professional and polite and food is always great and selection of drinks on offer. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming

The service was excellent, very friendly, informative and efficient. Two courses for £11.95, great value for the exceptional food served up nicely. Relaxed atmosphere added to time spent over meal.

The staff were very pleasant and attentive. The menu had a good selection with reasonable pricing and the restaurant had a really nice cosy feel.

Food lovely, perhaps better customer service. The young boy was excellent the 2 girls not so good they looked and acted disinterested. Not sure if I would go back because of this.

We had a lovely meal and the waiter was fantastic it’s m parents. So accommodating adjusting the menu for my kids. I felt we we were awkward asking for mac cheese and pasta but it was no problem. Many thanks to a great team.

Our annual Christmas Eve meal once again did not disappoint (we do eat there more than once a year). Although it was Christmas Eve the staff were still attentive, courteous and efficient. The food as always was excellent. Loks is still one of the gems of Southside restaurants and the bar is always busy and staffed with the friendliest serving people you'll meet.

Booked a table for Christmas Eve. Warmly welcomed, followed by really lovely food. A little better staff training and it would be 6/6. Well worth a visit.

I have used Lok's several times and have always been pleased with food, hospitality and service. This evening's experience was no exception and I look forward to my next visit.

1st time there. Family of 4 on a Saturday night. Service was very good but the food was mediocre at best. We won't be rushing back.

Lovely food, great service and superb value for money! Made use of the set menu which offered a good range of food. Definitely recommend a visit!

Food OK, service poor. Ordered drinks that never materialised, starter plates finished for about 25 mins before cleared. Have eaten here before and it was better so could be time of year.

Pretty ordinary food with pleasant enough staff but it is a very noisy restaurant. Not sure I would go back particularly as they charged extra for additional gravy on the side for the turkey main course.

There was a great value Festive set lunch offer on or an a la Carter menu. We chose the Festive option and enjoyed both courses. Service was warm and friendly. Really enjoyed our visit.

Good food fantastic service. Service is consistently excellent. Staff are always super attentive. I have never been disappointed in my visits to this venue. Well done as usual

Lunchtime was busy but the reception and service coped admirably. Food and presentation were very good and will ensure a return visit perhaps for dinner.

The staff were so friendly and helpful as soon as we arrived. The choice of food was great and at a brilliant price. There was something to suit everybody. I will definitely be back.

Whilst visiting Glasgow and needing an early dinner decided to give Loks Bar & Kitchen a try. So glad we did! Lovely surroundings, friendly efficient staff and great food. Would definitely recommend

Varied lunch menu. All of the group were happy with their choices. Staff friendly and efficient. Would recommend Loks to other friends. Prices were reasonable.

Restaurant was warm and welcoming as was the girl who took us to our table and fitness our drinks. Menu was not as advertised on website, 2 courses for £15.95 not available. Starters were fine but a bit greasy. The lobster macaroni was delicious, the burger was ok. Waitress was not very attentive, had to wait ages for her to come back and ask if everything was ok. Think it could be great but a bit more attention to detail and update the website

Service was a bit slow at first. But made up for it during the meal. Food was amazing. Place was lovely and spotless. Good mix of beers and wine

We had the Senior Citizens meal which was very good value indeed. The service was excellent and we had a very attentive waiter. Will definitely be back!

My husband and i were at loks last night for a meal as it was my birthday. The food was lovely as always .the resteraunt was very busy as it always is.and the staff and management were on the ball as usual.

Went for work night out and we all enjoyed it very much. Food was excellent, atmosphere is nice and relaxed, no rush to free up the table. Only slight criticism was the service, slow to offer more drinks/wine when glasses empty (instead they decided to clear them away before we had even had dessert). Otherwise, excellent and we will hopefully be back.

Used it is on voucher but from the beginning we received poor service and meat uncooked in the Centre. Had to return it to kitchen.

My friends and I had a lovely lunch yesterday. The atmosphere was very good, staff wonderful and very helpful and the "Senior fish & chips" was perfect. And for an extra £1 we got a big scone with butter, jam & cream! Will DEFINITELY be going back again!

The service was friendly and attentive. Staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food was delicious and of a high standard. Excellent selection of wines.

Had the senior fish tea at £6.95. Lovely just enough for a lunch. Only downside bread was crusty so could not make a chip butty. Service was great and the did not rush you out which is great when you are having a catch up.

Great place - nice local bar for a drink or a casual snack or meal, good food in the restaurant and lovely staff. The outdoor area is a wee bonus

Delicious food, great ambience and a fabulous blueberry mojito mocktail. Fast becoming my favourite eatery on the Southside. Not a huge selection for vegetarians although the gnocchi was excellent.

We ordered fron the three course dinner menu, which was reasonably priced and a had a good level of choice. Mac and cheese with lobster and crab was a particular highlight. FrIendly and attentive staff. Will be back.

The food was really tasty,the service was great and the place is really nicely decorated! The kids meals options are also varied and very reasonably priced!

Lovely meal in Loks. There were 4 of us including my 2 year old nephew. The dishes from the kids menu were more like adult portions and a little fancy for a child but otherwise the food was great. Would definitely recommended.

Unfortunately there were only a few other diners so the staff were very attentive and friendly.We had a window seat which was ideal .The food was excellent and we would certainly return especially as parking was no problem
