Overall Fantastic food, service and host! 1 small niggle, I didn't appreciate my plate being taken whilst still eating my papad which led to chutney on the table cloth, this also happened on my last visit too (I am a little slow at eating papad I love to savor it especially with your great pickles and chutneys). It didn't detract from my overall experience, but I love you guys so much I don't want to see you fall down on this.

This was our first visit to Lilu following recommendations from several friends. It most certainly exceeded expectations. The food was outstanding - amazing flavours and cooked to perfection. Each course was beautifully presented by very friendly and attentive staff. Some might think that 35GBP for 2 courses is expensive, but for food of this quality, it was good value. My only small negative is that the long, narrow shape of rear half of the restaurant detracts from the atmosphere.

My husband and I visited for the first time this evening and can only describe Lilu as a 'hidden gem'. The food was absolutely divine, the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was friendly. Couldn't fault a single thing. We'll certainly be recommending the place to everyone and look forward to our next visit.

Lilu has always been a remarkable experience. Fantastic customer service from Pratik and the team, and the food is always exceptionally well thought of, with great attention to detail. The ThaLi-Lu was very impressive - each item carefully chosen and paired perfectly. Would highly recommend the lamb!

Business dinner and went with an Indian born work pier who has been vegetarian from birth. Very authentic food. I had the duck and it couldn't have been better. The owner and my friend talked at length and he said it was the best Indian food he's had outside of India. Highly recommended!

Very good. The food was fantastic. Beautifully cooked and presented. All the staff were friendly and chatty too. It was great to have Indian food that was not the usual "meat in a sauce" with rice! Not the cheapest, but definitely worth the extra and definitely deserves their good reviews.

Delicious, original recipes, fantastic welcoming and friendly owners and staff. Perfect combination of fancy fine dining and ‘the favourite tried and tested local’. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fantastic evening at Lilu. The food was plenty and was by far the best we have had in Leicester. The quality of the fish, prawns and lamb was exquisite and to top it off our waiter Jamie was really engaging, had a very high knowledge of the dishes and was really kind- made us feel very comfortable and knew how to have a laugh with us! He made our evening - an asset to the restaurant - we will most definitely be coming back !

Very interesting Indian meal. Delightful and helpful staff. Fine cuisine, not what you would expect. Generous portions but quite expensive (for Leicester) side dishes. Approximately £50 per head without Alcohol.
