beautiful building, lovely food stylishly presented, warm & friendly service. highly recommended. belated 90th birthday for Mum, postponed from March when snow (we live Suffolk).

We enjoyed a brilliant 3 course lunch with impeccable service from very helpful and friendly staff. Bonus was the beautiful weather. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

The setting is amazing. The approaching road is treelined with views of the hall. Greeted and offered seats outside for drinks before dinner. Then our order was taken and as the food was ready we were taken to our seats. The srrvice was incredible, as was the food.

You should allow more time , so you can enjoy the fabulous surroundings at langer hall. We had a lovely meal in a gorgeous place .

Langar Hall is in a beautiful setting, the food and service were excellent, finished off with coffee on the lawn, in the sunshine. We’ll definitely be going back!

Excellent food and good service and set in beautiful surroundings Restaurant a bit lacking in style with rather chintzy tablecloths. Drinks very expensive but food prices about right.

A relaxing stay with friends. Their room was fine - ours needed updating. I think a little TLC is needed to the fabric and finish of the hotel to bring it up to date. Food was excellent at dinner.

The staff were very friendly and gave excellent service nothing was too much trouble. The food was top rate and very innovative and the desserts were particularly delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our experience and would definitely return again

Amazing food and service! Great location and atmosphere. Was sat in the orangery which was beautiful. Great vegetarian dishes too, as well as amazing cocktails.

Excellent Food, and very friendly and attentive staff. Started with an excellent choice of Gins, three delicious courses accompanied with a sumptuous bottle of red; all rounded of with a quality Speyside Malt (or two) Would certainly recommend a visit.

Friendly welcome on arrival at reception. Excellent friendly and professional staff waiting the table. Lovely surroundings. Delicious food. We thought we would be seated in the dining room (as we always have previously), but we were seated in the conservatory where chatting caused echoing, and it was difficult to hear the conversation of those people opposite. Next time we will request where we would like to sit. Hence, 5 instead of 6.

Lovely setting, service under par, drink spilt on me without apology or clean up, food - some good, main course disappointing. A bit lacklustre and seems to have dropped since last visits.

A really good Sunday Lunch in great surroundings. It was so enjoyable to have such a good meal with no cooking or washing up for me.

There is a spirit at Langar Hall that emanates from the people and building that is celebratory of the history and influence of it's prior inhabitants. It is a very comfortable and welcoming environment. We enjoyed our room that was comfortable and perfectly appointed. We really enjoyed our dinner and especially meeting the young french chef who was very polite and humble. Visiting England was a real joy, and seeing and experiencing history is amazing, however, meeting and talking with good souls is what makes for good feelings and memories. We would recommend Langar Hall to anyone that wants to connect to a place of history and legacy that emanates through the good people that you will connect with today.

Great evening, lovely food, fab venue. Will definitely be going there again. The hall has a homely feeling which reflects its history and conversion into a country house hotel.

My family had a lovely meal celebrating Mum’s 60th birthday. The staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and it was a fantastic experience, with personalised menus which was great! The meal was fabulous and I would definitely recommend Langar Hall!

Staff,food and service were excellent, from stepping inside the door the welcome and warmth of the staff creates the loveliest atmosphere and continues throughout the whole experience. We just love it.

Great place and nice staff but mackerel starter was so small it was a disgrace. Otherwise lovely evening. Worth a visit since main course was good.

Relaxed and beautiful surroundings. Delightful menu. I loved the mackerel with fresh rhubarb starter. The staff were attentive throughout but room for improvement. Brusque receptionist!

Warm welcome, excellent food and very good service, though we weren’t offered a wine list. Comfortable ambience though possibly rather cramped. Beautifully located. Ideal for special occasions!

Great food and wine - duck was the star of the show. Service attentive and efficient. Would have preferred coffee to follow desert as requested but it's a minor point. I was overcharged for wine but it was very quickly put right when i called the next day. Recommended.

Fixed price menu on a Friday evening. total meal cost increased by about 20% compared to a year ago when Langar Hall was operating under Imogen approach. Now more adventurous menu than previously but included an amuse gueule, and desserts were lighter and more varied. Statement dish cheese soufflé still on menu. Wine by the bottle looked expensive compared to previously and choice of wine by the glass relatively limited. Overall an enjoyable evening, attentive service and a good atmosphere. In summary, I'd say that Langar Hall has moved slightly up-market. (I still remember the days when they had 'Faithful Hound' on the wine list.)

Great service, fabulous environment. Loved the choice of menus - we chose a la Carte and the food was amazing but equally could have opted for the dine for less menu which was interesting, creative and we saw other diners relishing. A lovely way to catch up with friends. Great that there is such a choice of wine by the glass, and the sweeties with coffee are v. moreish.

I'm a regular visitor to Langar Hall, and we regularly put up business guests there. The service is always excellent, the food exemplary. My only complaint is the lack of non-fruity cider at the bar....

Pleasant setting and good food. But the very young and I'm sure friendly staff need to be far better trained - not least to avoid saying "absolutely no problem" at every opportunity. There was a bizarre incident over the wine list, where a bin end had been restocked with a different vintage and producer! Why would you restock a bin end anyway?!

The best restaurant & hotel in the Nottingham area , I would highly recommend Langar Hall to anyone who is visiting Nottingham, the staff are all very welcoming especially Mickey 😜

The venue was as lovely as always. Somehow the overall experience had just lost its edge. The food was not quite as good as usual, I was disappointed with the cod and the service was a little more intrusive. However, I quite willing to accept that perhaps it was me having an 'off' day
