Visited Lala for the first time with 45 minutes to spare before an event at the Hammersmith Apollo. Food was lovely and service was fast so didn't feel rushed.
Good value tasty food, good service, a pleasant experience and the speedy menu must help people who come for the Hammersmith Apollo just across the road.
The waiter/waitresses continually circled the restaurant making us feel very uncomfortable. The starters were barely cleared before the mains were put down - made us feel rushed. It was hot and stuffy. The lamb was fatty and pink.
Food was good but the waitress missed an order for our main course and then we requested Baklava for dessert which was on the menu but the was restuarant had none
Never received confirmation of the booking and doors were locked when we arrived. Possibly more an issue with Quandoo than Lala but a crappy experience nonetheless
Excellent food! Really nice restraint. The commady tree night in the basement was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend both the restaurant and the entertainment.
Went prior to show at the Apollo. Very busy yet service was very good. Food also was very good would definitely recommend.
Good variety on the pre-theatre menu. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. Great service on a very busy night. However i feel for the size of the restaurant they could have more toilets in order to avoid queues.
The food was nice however some of it was cold. The service wasn't great as it took 1 hour 10 minutes for us to recieve our food, which meant we arrived at the theatre as the show began as opposed to 30 minutes before as we had planned. Disappointed, as we had been to the restaurant 1 month before and had a completely different experience ( quick service and good food on that occasion ) and had expected the same on this visit.
Very good experience. Helpful and attentive staff. Good menu, diverse - should cater for all. Well presented and cooked to a high standard. Worth a visit especially if you are seeing a show at the Apollo.
I use Lala regularly to meet up with friends from other parts of London as the location is so convenient. Our meal this time was up to the usual high standard. Middle Eastern fare that is tasty, friendly, helpful service and no hassling to finish swiftly.
Great food, friendly staff and quick service. We had a great meal before heading to Hammersmith Apollo to watch Reeves and Mortimer. Good location for station too.
Arrived to find the bailiffs had moved in just before me; chains and padlocks on the door. Bizarrely, all the tables were set ready for dinner. So I had a reservation but no restaurant!!
Prompt service prior to show. Food was fresh and good size portions. Service was friendly and efficient. Good choice and reasonably priced. Ideal for a pre show meal.
Very good all round, excellent staff, food good and reasonable price for London. Would recommend this restaurant if you are in Hammersmith. It's also very handy for the Apollo
The restaurant was closed!!! - no warning - it appears to have ceased trading. Someone should have had the courtesy to contact people with reservations.
Excellent choice of Mediterranean food, lovely atmosphere, really helpful friendly staff, and close to the Apollo! Nothing to fault at all. We had starters, main course, coffee, and 2 glasses of wine each, and bill was £62 - pretty reasonable for London. Highly recommended.
This is a good lunch spot for meeting friends in west London - Hammersmith being an excellent interchange for all sorts of transport links. The menu offers a good selection of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean fare in a relaxed atmosphere. Giant fish cakes are a favourite here as well as the chicken and lamb brochettes, Service is cheerful and the only drawback is that there are sometimes large noisy groups enjoying a meal out and so it can be hard to hold a conversation ...
Went there before a show at the Apollo and the service was very quick and attentive. Good pre theatre menu too. Would highly recommend Lala and we will be returning.
Quick Service before a show at the Apollo....have to book a table though because it gets busy. Food was fresh and tasted good. Definitely would go again.
Excellent service from all staff. Food was good and promptly brought out. Good venue for pre theatre meal for Hammersmith Apollo. We enjoyed the lively atmosphere.
The restaurant was wonderful, the staff, efficient and helpful and the food, exquisite! The lamb brochette was truly delicious. We'll definitely be going back for seconds!
Very friendly, good food, reasonable prices - nothing especially fancy but exactly what we were looking for. The music was a bit too loud, but otherwise it was a very enjoyable evening.
The food was good and sensibly priced. The location for going to the Apollo was great , the staff are very polite but we felt it was all very rushed.
Having read reviews of this restaurant we booked for 6.15 and it was just as well as it was full, and had a lively buzz. We had the pre theatre Menu which had plenty to choose from. The Broad bean starter was odd just a bowl of creme fraiche with 6 broad beans on top, the Liver starter could have done with cheering up a bit, the Calamari which I chose were yummy. The main courses, the lamb brochette, fish cakes, and aubergine were all excellent. The service was good and friendly and we were able to leave at 7.30 with plenty of time to get to the theatre.
Lovely food with very generous portions. I recommend the halloumi! Also very nice ambiance and lots of room, the decor is especially nice. The waiters are very friendly and helpful.
Had a fabulous meal before the show at the Apollo. Meat was delicious and puddings sublime. Not a thing left on our plates! Service was good and staff very friendly. Will definitely be going there again.
Food was great, service was initially very good then, as the restaurant got busier, we seemed to be forgotten about. I would dine here again but hope to have more attentive service.
We chose to dine at lala for a pre theatre meal, and we were not disappointed. The whole experience was excellent very attentive and jolly staff, food was excellent and would definitely recommend to family & friends.
Good restaurant, good food and very convenient for the Eventim Apollo, however they do try to move you along quickly under the banner of attentive service.
We had a very good meal and the food was excellent. The service was very good and the staff friendly and attentive. The negatives were the ambience which was very noisy (no soft furnishings to mute the noise and for a couple of oldies the background racket in a full restaurant made conversation difficult - the staff must go home with a headache!) and the toilets which were awful - the stairs were not clean and the ladies toilets were poorly lit and were not in keeping with the above stairs restaurant experience. It's not clear how a disabled person would get to the toilets?
Excellent location if you are looking to eat before going to the Apollo or Lyric. Staff are friendly and attentive although we did have to wait for our drinks once they got really busy. Food was excellent, very fresh and beautifully cooked.
This is a great place to eat before you go into the Apollo. They have a good pre theatre menu based on good food and quick service.
