Had crayfish cocktail ...minuscule amout of crayfish a dessert spoon full but lot of shredded lettuce not worth £7! Liver very dry and over cooked ....sweet potatoe and chic pea curry was fine but rice over cooked a just a big lump of goo....lamb kofta I paid extra for I couldn't eat as tasted off ....would not eat there again ....shame as local but I have been previously with friends a month ago who had complained about their meal but no offer of compensation or offer to change meal so felt there was no point even mentioning anything.
I paid £19 for a sirloin steak that was overcooked and dry. I can get a much better steak at my local pub for about £12 which also comes with nicer chips and better veg (and a better choice of sauces to accompany the steak). The pub has also been spoiled in terms of its decor - it used to look lovely and old inside and now they have painted the beautiful beam above the fire place in a cream paint. There is also naff wall paper on the walls which is designed to look like books on a shelf. The tables and chairs have got that 'trendy pub' look about them but the old dark wood tables and chairs looked much nicer.
A lunchtime visit to meet friends. Pleasant ambience and friendly staff who were happy to cater for my gluten-free requirements. The light lunch menu is not extensive, but we each managed to find something suitable to order. Would certainly consider a return visit.
Food great, staff helpful, maybe just menu choices could be more varied. Plenty of fish dishes and unless restaurant specialises in sea food, there could have been more of other dishes to choose from. Vegetarian option wasn't inspiring.

Always a big decision whether to go for" Starters or Desert". We chose the starters and we weren't dissapointed, we all said we would have enjoyed these as our mains (shredded beef, duck with blue cheese). Generous portions and very tasty. Could the mains top this, they surely did, steaks cooked to perfection, pheasant was amazing. The whole ambiance of the restaurant was warm and very welcoming, from the friendly and attentive staff to the log burning fires. We all agreed we had a wonderful evening and will be back. Thank you
Menu had changed from my previous visit and it had lost some of its wow factor. However, the food I ordered was generally good and the service was good.
Lovely food, with friendly staff, will be returning soon! Food was cooked to a high standard, enjoyed the vouchers for free desserts too, nice touch.
Great, lovely food and warm atmosphere. Prompt service. Ordered beetroot, walnut and goats cheese risotto and salad, oven baked cod and seafood risotto and children's scampi. Will go again!
Fabulous good served by attentive and friendly staff. Daily specials very appealing with a tasty range of fishes throughout the menu. I will be going again.
Nice old fashioned village pub, good food and service. Booked at short notice very simply with Quandoo. Staff were friendly and good ambience, would go again.
Lovely old pub. Great tasty food. Pleasant, friendly staff😊😊 Great little find while travelling around the countryside. A good way to travel for us, but worth the journey
excellent food & excellent service, lovely traditional pub & surroundings. A little expensive but it is worth spending that little extra for the quality provided.
Great food atmosphere and service. The seafood messed starter was very good and we couldn't make it to dessert. . .portion sizes were spot on
Lovely food and a nice atmosphere, we were allocated a table but we wanted to sit elsewhere and this was no issue for the staff.
Excellent food with good portions with friendly and attentive staff. I have to say that it was a really nice place to be - couldn't fault it.
First class food at reasonable prices. Lovely atmosphere and a glorious smell of a log fire every time the staff opened the wood burner to stoke it up. Easy to book a table for Saturday lunch online just the evening before.
Nice comfortable relaxed environment and good quality and well presented food. Easy to book system which saves time on making a phone call. Good experience.
Not visited for a while but more than satisfied with the quality of the food and service. Good choice of sandwiches, light bites and main meals at a reasonable cost. Ambience was lovely too, on a cold and wet day the log burners provided a very cosy atmosphere.
Lovely quaint old pub in Ombersley, great atmosphere. Had Sunday lunch, food was excellent, with good sized portions. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would visit again.
Very good meal and service. We always go for the pub food section if the menu. Burgers are home made and excellent and the wine list is good if a bit pricey
Excellent food very tasty, service brilliant nothing too much trouble. Booking very easy. Lovely pub with large car park handy location. look forward to going again.
Great place, fab service, steak not cooked as ordered! Good choice of food! Pleasant atmosphere! Would recommend to friends and family no problem, very cosy!
Great quality of food , quickly rectified a steak that was over cooked, service was good. But once received new steak felt like I was being avoided in case there was issue with the second steak. Overall a good visit. Would definitely recommend.
Great venue with good atmosphere all staff treated us wellm . Excellent menu which was novel and varied and interesting. food brill - had a great evening
A lovely cosy, traditional place with friendly staff and delicious food. The roast butternut squash and chestnut soup was particularly good. A large car park and a nice outdoor space for when the weather is better!
Food lovely. Fire broken so cold in area allocated to sit. Staff did however move us to warmer part of pub, although took a while to warm up. Staff very polite, service good, lovely atmosphere. Would recommend.
Simple menu, great food, attentive nice staff - all good. Would definitely go again. Doesn't serve Sunday roast meals - but not an issue for us. Pie was very good indeed.
High quality food and a good range of options Glasses of Prosecco available Very good and pleasant service Delightful, historic venue with tasteful décor I will certainly return
My only criticism is that we were not told until we sat down at the table that there was another reservation for our table so that we had a limited time. This definitely affected our enjoyment of what was a good meal
A very good place to eat and the service, atmosphere and food of top quality. Easy to book through the online system. Highly recommended. Andy
Very nice atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Good food but shame run out of specials early. Would definitely go again. Mid to Upper end price wise.
The service was excellent. The Sunday lunch portions are far too big. We would have preferred a more reasonable amount but the food on the plate was superb.
Great starters ....crayfish cocktail ...great main sirloin steak .....dessert was a disaster pear and almond tart which was really dry and flavourless. Waitress service good but would think twice before ordering a dessert again!
Lovely pub in an attractive village, ten minutes drive from Jct 6 M5. Polite, attentive staff, good food at reasonable prices. The main dining area had a wood burning stove providing plenty of warmth on a particularly cold day. It was our first visit and we were glad we had booked for our party of 6 as the place was full by 1pm. For a Thursday lunchtime, that says a lot about the reputation of the pub.
good lunch, tables well spaced for conversation, altogether satisfactory. Next time I need a drink or meal in the area I would be very happy to come here again.
Nice atmosphere for lunch with in laws. Service prompt & accurate. We all enjoyed the food which was well presented. No problems - a good experience!
Favourite restaurant / pub since moving to the area a year ago. The food and service is world class. I would highly recommend a visit!

We initially were not sat at a great table but the waiter quickly noticed my concern and offered to relicate us. Great steaks..and service..would recommend and will return thank you
Good service. There was extensive choice on the menu. Nice atmosphere as it was a locals pub/eatery. We had a Lovely meal. Would definately reccomend.
The food was good :) and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, perfect place for a couple. The staff were friendly and very helpful with the menu and specials.
Very nice meal staff were attentive and service was efficient. Only draw back was when people left they sometimes didn't shut the door so we were blasted with a cold draught from time to time. Not really the pubs fault that some people can't read the big notice on the door. Nevertheless we had a nice evening
overall the evening went well, our waitress was, we felt undertrained. The Manageress must have spotted this as she took over, then all was excellent.
Party of four this is a great pub, lovely old building but modern and spacious inside. food excellent, service attentive and prompt lovely atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend
I have tried nearly every item on the menu and they are all very good some are fantastic, try the Sunday lunch its a must
Lovely old country pub and atmosphere warm and welcoming. Good choice for all tastes on menu. Food tasty and well cooked. Service and staff excellent.
Good Ambiance, Nice Decor, Good Food - better than standard pub fare, and not expensive. Menu offering a good variety of choices. Very Enjoyable evening with good attentive service. Real Ales were also good.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, staff are friendly and the service quick. It has been quite a while since we ate here and I am glad to say that it still remains our favourite local establishment.
Very nice food BUT service of main meals seemed to be very rushed as they arrived almost before we had finished the starters. Got the impression that staff wanted to finish and go. On the other hand we had to actually go to the bar to get someone to take orders for coffee!!!
Everything went quite smoothly. The food we ordered arrived quickly and was tasty and plentiful. The sweet I had was amazing. The whole experience worth repeating. Staff very attentive.
