One of the best Indian meals I have had. Nice surroundings and very good service. Food very well presented but it tasted even better than it looked!
Great food. Staff very friendly and attentive. Service charge of 10% added to bill which was not acceptable. Bit difficult to locate this restaurant as its behind other buildings.
Good food and attentive service. An excellent start to this new restaurant. Keep up the good work. Only criticism would be that mains were a little to sweet so would probably be more selective in future.
Food was superb, service was attentive and enthusiastic. This was only our second time here, but fast becoming one of our favourite places to eat.
Excellent food and presentation ,a variety of vegetarian dishes in a small modern setting. The Service was good and it was great value for money.
Food was not good, over priced and small portions. Staff were overly pushy. Asked several times for poppodoms even though we kept saying that we didn't want. Food was cold and mixed grill was over cooked and dry.
This is a wonderful gem in Birmingham. If you want somewhere special, wonderful surroundings, decent price, amazing service and top class food then go here. My mother knows her indian food and said it was one of the best curries she's ever had.
People were very nice and attentive but the food just did not come up to scratch I woul go back and try something else next time
What can I say! Food was excellent and staff were amazing very helpful, will be returning very soon and I am going to tell all my friends about it. Simply superb 👍
A wide ranging menu including all the traditional curries and enhanced with some exotic connoisseur offerings. The food is mouthwateringly flavoursome and the staff are eager to ensure your dining experience is of the highest order. This restaurant, in the Arcadian Centre opposite the Hippodrome theatre, is worthy of all its' high praise and reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment.
Best Indian experience i have ever had in the UK. Unbelievably good food, the tastes and smells were amazing. The overall level of professionalism from the staff was great. They were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. If you are ever in Birmingham for any reason you have to try this place. By far the best!
An excellent experience. Amazing food. Great service. Don't ask for the bill too early though as you will not get the wipes to clean your hands afterwards :-)
Had been trying to visit JD's for a while now but every time I visited Birmingham the Restaurant was closed, always a Monday, so was delighted to be there on a Friday and Booked online to make sure I got in. For a Friday the whole complex where JD's is located was very quiet as was the restaurant, which is surprisingly smaller than you would expect. Staff were friendly and attentive without being over your shoulder all the time, and the menu was varied with house specialities, I had the ANARKALI which was amongst one of the top Indian dishes I have had (and that's a lot). All in all a great experience and would definitely visit again. That 6th elusive star was let down purely by the ambiance which was a little low key for me, unlike Dishoom hub hub and feel
Friendly, attentive staff. Sophisticated venue with stunning décor and a calm yet refined ambience. Beautiful food presentation and it tasted amazing. Would definitely visit again.
Food was really good and service aswell. It was week day and the restaurant was not that full. Music could be lower at some point.
