Jackson + Rye - Chiswick

Still one of the best options in W4 and it's a competitive environment. Consistently good service and food. One of those local gems that it's grew to have on your doorstep.

After three attempts at this chain, at two of its locations, I have to give up - I really wanted to like it but it's not worth it. This time I visited the Chiswick branch. Our drink orders were both wrong. My boyfriend asked if they had fresh juices and the waiter said yes, so he asked for apple and ginger. They brought carrot, apple and ginger, and when we queried it, the waitress said that the juices came pre-bottled. We both had the pulled pork hash, which was dry and quite bland, topped with overcooked poached eggs and about one teaspoon of thin, watery hollandaise. I'd only go back here for the pancakes, which I've had on another occasion - don't bother otherwise.
