Always a great example etiem everyone. We had a guest visiting from the US and he himself wanted to come here from last time’s experience. Top marks.

service was good but food was not!! not visited for a while so was looking forward to having our favourites but the taste of the food was not the same, bland and boring and overpriced!!! me and my son also were vomiting that night so definitely didn't enjoy that meal.

The restaurant service was not very good at all. We waited about 45 minutes for our starters and we didn’t even get our mail so we left without having any main food.

Rice with our main course we'd ordered came out 30 mins after we'd eaten main course which spoilt the experience, when advised manager he seemed reluctant to offer any compensation, so he agreed for "1" drink on house. Then when bill arrived the rice was included, so we had to mention it all over again. Food was nice though. The outdoor entrance could do with cleaning up, lots of litter around, could put you off eating there.

My son birthday celebration...His favourite dish is Massala Mongo' The table was booked for 7pm and our orders placed at 7.20pm. We asked for the starters and the mains dishes to be served at the same time. The first starter (a chaat) arrived at the table at 8pm. No drinks, had to remind the waiters that we ordered drinks as soon as we arrived at 7.05pm and an hour later we haven' t receinved our drinks. At 8.30pm, part of the starters, rices and nans arrived at the table, no main dishes so asked to speak to the manager and explained how can a customer receive rice and nans with no food? The manager explained that the restaurant is really busy and there was a private party on site. However, the manager went to the kitchen and allocated another member of staff to bring our food as soon as it is ready in the kitchen. We order drinks whilst waiting but by 9pm these were not ready. Had to called the manager again and the drinks came straight away. At 9.30pm, we were still waiting for 'massala mongo' and were told that a further 4 tables were waiting for these but this starter was served to the party as soon as it was cooked. We decided to cancel the 'Mongo'order'. What a disappointment with the kitchen service...the blll was well over £200 and the birthday family meal was ruined ...This is not the first time that we experienced delay in serving the food but we always give another chance to businesses but this will be the last time we go to the Imperial lounge on Purley way'!

Food was awesome, nice ambient, staff and services were mind blowing!!

I been to this place 3 times before . Compare to that the service was better this time.

Recommed as a great place to dine out. Good range of veg/non veg options.

The Samosa chaat and chicken tikka was good. The seekh lamb was tough. The butter chicken was very sweet and the cauliflower in the cauliflower Manchurian tasted off. Not a great experience.

There was hair in our food…we showed it to them and they offered new dish. We almost finished eating so said we don’t want any more. No apologies and no good gesture of giving any discount in bill. It was horrible and I will not go again to this restaurant.

Great indian food especially the chats and stuff is amazing.

Amazing food and this is a fav place of mine!

Our second time here. We love the indo Chinese food served at this restaurant. Staples are chilli paneer, veg manchurian fried rice and hakka noodles 😍

The Imperial came highly recommended so thought we’d try it. The service was attentive and pleasant enough but robotic, no personal touch. Starters: The salt and pepper Okra @ £10.45 was good. Pani Puri was well below average. Bland filling, soggy puris and only yoghurt and tiny tamarind specks on top. No coriander chilli chutney present so pretty disappointing. It’s a basic so can’t understand how one can go wrong with that. The Samosa Chaat was soft, stale pastry, bland potato filling and bland sauces on top. Again a basic that was disappointing. Mains: the Pilav rice and Moilee Fish curry were average- lots of creamy sauce but no balance of distinct spice flavours at all. The Ajwaini Jhinga @ £16.45 was overcooked for 3 x king size prawns with a chewy texture. Desi Chicken curry and Peshwari Naan were ok. The Meethe Baigan was average, no distinct spice flavours. The choice of dishes for the best part was not memorable so a huge let down especially as we love good fresh, flavoursome Indian fusion food.

THe food was great as well, but this time we felt we were rushed since the very beginning to order right away, may be to free the table.. even though we finished 30 mins before the slot finished. We didn't like being rushed.

The food is awesome specially Indo-Chinese and vegetarian curries.

Loved the food , service was well attended Some activity to keep little ones engaged and happy was missing.

I booked a table for 2PM and got a call at 12:30 that there kitchen will be closed at 2:30. They asked me to come over by 1:30, which was not possible so we didn’t went there.

Service was very good and food was good too. We had pre ordered our starters as we were 13 of us and had a long table.

The seat in the booth was torn to shreds. The service was rubbish with all of us getting our food at different extended times not eating together. To top it all I had the worst does of the shits the next day. They need to cook the spices !!!!!

Quick Service, drinks and food arrived in good time, quality of food was good

We came as a group and way over ordered. We should have been given more guidance about portions of bread and rice for the table.

I liked the food. It was good, however the drinks were not as good. Try to make them sugary and sweeter with a dash of lemonade.

Lovely parking and super easy to make a reservation online Good variety of options on the menu. Food quite on the spicier side , especially for kids, and could have been slightly less greasy . But the ladies and gentlemen serving out table were so attentive and quick to clear the table between courses. Overall a good experience.

Fantastic food .we always enjoyed visiting Imperial from years. We keep love going and eating there.
