Lovely place…and fantastic staff who were so generous and kind to look after my dad when he wasn’t feeling well…thank you Antonio. We will def be back soon x
Really lovely food. A great dining experience. Very strong recommend.
I reserved a table and got confirmation that it was reserved. However, when we turned up at the restaurant it was closed. And looked like it had gone out of business. Later the same night the owner called and apologized for not having opened for the day.
Antonio was so welcoming. Amazing food , back after 25 years and still great , thank you
I love the match day menu here . The food was delicious and service is always warm and attentive .
This was our first visit, what a fantastic discovery. The owner Antonio is charming, the wine, pasta and dessert were delicious. thank you.
Amazing food, warm and friendly atmosphere, my favourite local restaurant
6 of us went for the first time in 20 years and it was fantastic. quality of food was exceptional with nice service and we had a lovely evening.
this place should be far more popular than it is. Only negative is that the lighting is far too bright and could be turned down.
Extremely slow service and salty sauce for the veal main
Friendly welcome from the staff, generous portions and tasty food made this a pleasant evening for our group.
We were first to arrive in the restaurant at 7.45 and were the only ones there until we left at 10.00. However, despite the lack of other diners the atmosphere was warm. The food was excellent apart from the vegetables which obviously had been in cold storage. That was understandable that they were not freshly cooked bearing in mind we were the only ones there. Service was fine - friendly and efficient and the profiteroles were a work of art.
Very friendly efficient service great location limited choices on menu though
I went on an Arsenal match night - they have a good match day menu - normally it is full on match days and you need to book but this was a cup match so the place was not as full. the food was delicious and the service was warm and friendly .
Excellent food, Antonio is a wonderful cook. He also is very interesting to talk to, great evening 😊
Very friendly helpful host. Simple food cooked beautifully, we will come again.
What a lovely little restaurant!! Was late for our booking & they were extremely accommodating. The staff were all really lovely and the food great!! Exactly what we wanted. Is defo a go to place on the way to the Emirates!!
Great restaurant and food , and a really lovely owner.
Great authentic Italian food and a welcoming chef, will be back again!
Food took a while because there was only 1 guy serving and cooking! Food was ok nothing special, but i guess maybe thats because they were understaffed... not sure whether I'd try again to find out...
Good food - but the evening was spoilt by extremely poor service. Very disappointing considering the good reviews previously posted about this restaurant. We will not be going there again.
Service was very good and attentive. Lamb chops were delicious and very well priced for London. Small amd charming restaurant with a very nice local neighbourhood vibe.
The food as usual was very good. It was hot and beautifully cooked.Service was rather slow and it was a bit chilly in the restaurant when you had you had to wait as restaurant was busy. The pizza Meditaraneo was really appreciated by our 17 year old grandson, he said it was great.Antonio the chef always charming and helpful.
Perfect as always, the service and food are fantastic, home cooked ravioli and succulent fillet steak with mushroom & truffle sauce, can't recommend highly enough!
Nice friendly restaurant - busy on match days. Food reasonable standard but vegetables very overcooked or perhaps prepared in bulk and kept warm. Service was a little slow on our visit but it was nearly full to be fair.
Delicious food at affordable price. I met Chef Antonio for the first time and will be back soon to try some other typical dishes. Highly recommended. Great value for money.
Great food and friendly family service. They cooked the food exactly to order, even with off-menu requests. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We look forward to going back there again soon!
Had a great night out, small authentic restaurant. Food was lovely along with the owner who made the effort to come out to have a chat with us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant .
An absolute gem. Food is wonderful and the owner and staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Well worth a visit.
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in London. The food was wonderful and authentic. The owner/chef couldn't have done more to make our evening special. What a great find.
The dishes were authentic and we enjoyed them. A bit too salty to our liking - not sure if that's just how italian dishes are.
Have recently discovered this superb local Italian restaurant just south of Finsbury Park. Owner and chef Antonio (a welcoming and lovely man) runs his restaurant in a traditional manner, with delicious food served in a calm and delightful setting. A wonderful place to linger over fine food and a bottle of wine.
A really warm welcome received from the friendly owner and delicious homemade pasta. This restaurant is very reasonably priced compared to others in the area.
A good Italian menu and excellent food. Vegetables are in season and freshly prepared. The selection of deserts (if one can manage one) is limited but real 'home cooking'. Very approachable and friendly owners
Very friendly place to eat, all the food was cooked fresh for us by the owner and the staff were all helpful. We had the match day menu and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely go there again.
This is by far the best tasting Italian I have had. And I have had many. The service here is also great. Il Cavaliere is an intimate spot with a very personable environment and the owner is a fantastic host.
Great Place to meet and have a meal before a Arsenal game. Food consistently good, staff are very friendly and service great. Would recommend this place.
