first time here and certainly wont be the last. we had booked a table just as well as it was busy. staff were attentive polite and helpful. food was lovely and fresh. the four of us had a really great meal.

Very good meal - Particular high lights were the crepes, and the sardines for the starters and the fish stew and mussels for main - Cheese board was also very good

Steaks and their sauces are amazing. Nice wine list as well.

Delicious food, well cooked and lovely, welcoming and attentive staff. Restaurant is very cozy and perfect for couples wanting a quiet and good meal together. Will definitely be returning.

Its a nice location ,if you're coming in from outside Brighton, in The Lanes. There are several nice pubs nearby and its close to the seafront . We were there for a birthday celebration, the food was fine , not exceptional and the price was ok .

My wife and I enjoyed a delicious meal (we both chose the 'special' (chicken with blue cheese). Good attentive service - and Il Bistro accepts Tastecard !!

We booked and they said they were full...jokers. they had loads of empty tables and I had booked. Annoying to say the least!! Looked nice though.

First visit to Il Bistro and I would definitely go back. The menu was very good and in addition there were specials and two and three course set menus. Thoroughly enjoyable I rushed lunch.

Good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food. It was nice to find out that we had our table for the evening, rather than in some venues, for a set period. Looking forward to the next time.

We turned up early which wasn’t a problem. The food was delicious. The waitress who served us, who had blonde hair (sorry to say I never asked for her name) was amazing, time was left for everything e.g. in between meals and while we were eating we were given enough space to simply enjoy the food. Excellent place would go again.

Staff friendly and attentive. Food good value as I used my Tastecard (2 for 1 mains). Food quality reasonable although menu was a bit limited but two 'specials' were on offer. Service good. Will visit again.

A perfect lunch - great tasting food, relaxed and informal surroundings and all at an excellent price. The lunch special menu, at just £10 for 2 courses, is one of the best value offers in Brighton's Laines but the quality and selection are not compromised. The staff are attentive and friendly and, all in all, it was an extremely pleasant experience.

Lovely food and excellent service! I would highly recommend to friends. The steak was amazing, just what I needed after the marathon! We will go back next time we are in Brighton.

A friendly welcome,excellent food,efficient non intrusive service,no wonder we go back there time and time again.There are a choice of menus,we normally eat from one of the set menus for lunch,and indulge in the a la carte for dinner,all represent excellent value for money. The specials board is worth consideration too!
