Amazing food that came really quickly with super friendly service. The Gin selection was fantastic and we had a lovely evening!

As always Hops and Chops was pretty full, but we were seated quickly and got rapidly stuck in to trying to decide what to eat. The service as always was exemplary and the staff always seem to have a smile on their faces. The food was subzero as always, although today the sauces seemed a little thin and watery. But a very minor issue in an excellent meal. As always looking forward to the next visit...

This was a visit on a weekday lunchtime so it was quiet. Service was friendly. The food was fantastic!

There was plenty of space in the restaurant but we were put in a corner and surrounded by a large party of about 8 noisy adults anon our left. Our party of four couldn’t have a conversation unless we raised our voices. There was a table about 4 feet in front which was fine. Why were we all squashed in a little when everyone could have had a little more elbow room. The restaurant wasn’t busy. My son-in-law and I had gammon. We were both disappointed with the amount of fat we had. For the price I thought the vegetables and fries would have been included. The gammon itself was very salty. We both only are half of it. We really couldn’t get out fast enough. We won’t be

We love coming here, it is a little expensive perhaps so more suited to special occasions but it’s definitely worth what you pay - the food is such high quality and beautifully presented. We never leave unsatisfied.

We had dinner here last night (9 people), probably our 5th time there and as always we had a fantastic meal. Service was great, consistent checking on us and refilling drinks when needed. Some of us had steaks and the staff explained it would take a little longer to cook due to the cut of meat which was so helpful as we had a toddler with us too. Size of portions were awesome! Most of us struggled to clean our plates. Overall we had a fab time and will continue to come back in the future.

Lovely steak whilst catching up with a friend, the food and service were great, just not 100% sure of the ambience, fine for a week night, just not sure what the vibe would be like on a weekend

I always enjoy good food in the Hops and Chops but this time we ordered Hops & Chops Lobster Bisque £9.50 and Korean Barbecued Pork Belly £7.50 for a starter. It was very small portion and soup was quite cold. We were very disappointed!

As a couple we were sat next to a large group that were very noisy, they were just having fun but have to sa spoiled our evening somewhat This time food was ok but vegetables and sauces were not nice at all.

Really good food and service considering we went in late, tho the baby gem was too salty with the bacon bits opposed to the pancettabut literally that’s the only negative, burger was beautiful and can’t wait to try other menu items instead of getting the same thing every single

Although they did go out of their way to meet our tables needs the hanger steak was over cooked when it’s best served rare and one person on the table wasn’t happy with their meal but wasn’t offered anything else

The greeting on arrival was poor, we had booked a table for 4 however they seated us at a table for 8 when queried was told that was all they had! The mannerism of what i think was the female manager was confrontational and rude. The good point was the main course beef was cooked to perfection. Shame -first visit heard so much good feedback unfortunately not reflected in our visit. Bill at the end was wrong and summed up our visit!
