The food was absolutely delicious. My husbands exact words were ‘this is the best roast dinner I have ever had in a restaurant’
First visit. Great menu. Great food. Great experience. We will be bavk
Good food and good service. Children enjoyed their meals as did we.
Booked for Christmas day lunch, seven people at £95pp, paid for in full in advance. Menu choices also had to be submitted 10 days in advance. We did not receive our prosecco on arrival but were seated fairly quickly. We asked for our prosecco and ordered drinks and wine. Our first courses were served, followed by our prosecco, but without glasses so we poured it ourselves into the wine glasses on the table. When our plates were cleared we again requested the wine we had ordered. Over an hour and 20 minutes later our sorbet arrived. No wine, so we asked again. When the main courses arrived about 40 minutes later almost all of them were cold and the vegetables randomly served. Some of us had no potatoes, sprouts varied from one to four. Still no wine. We waited a long time for our puddings which surprisingly were all good! There were very few staff, all very young and seemingly inexperienced and the manager came near our table once but no apology was given for the chaos. I saw him standing in a corridor but as I approached him he rushed away. We never did get our wine. One of our party is in a wheelchair and the intention was to have our meal and then spend time with her at home. As it was we only just made it back in time for her carer. A ruined day.
Unfortunately shown to wrong table , moved after 25 minutes, waited again at new table , starter wrong , so husband had nearly finished by time mine arrived , very long wait for main , turkey very dry ,
Overall our Christmas Day dinner was a very good experience. The menu provided a selection that met all our guests needs. The location was perfect for all our travel arrangements. Lastly, the catering staff were excellent and made for very pleasant experience.
Absolutely delicious! Our go to place! Lovely service. Back soon!
Met with friends all had the 5course lunch very good everyone enjoyed no complaints. The waitress was very nice and friendly would recommend .
We dined at lunchtime, had a choice of tables and found one nice and light. The golden menu is well priced and provided the narrow range suits, recommended. The service was good, a good experience.
Excellent steaks and 2-1 deal makes it great value for money.
Food good Wanted gold menus which we got Then pricing was all to cock had to pull them up on this not happy Spoiled dining experience
We came as a group of 13 for our team Christmas meal. The service was excellent and we didn't have to wait long between each course. The food was absolutely amazing with good portion sizes even with it being lunchtime. We were sat in the conservatory and they even put heaters in there before we arrived. Everyone had good words to say about the meal. We would definitely like to come back again.
Food was ok, nothing special. Service was very slow, so slow we decided not to wait any longer for them to take our dessert and another drink order. It wasn’t as if the place was packed. Got our bill wrong and then tried to charge 12.5% service charge for just 2 of us dining.
Excellent, best pub Christmas lunch I've had. Service was perfect, attentive without being overbearing. Food was superb. Very generous portions of, hot, perfectly cooked, quality ingredients, very well presented. And at £30 for 5 courses, outstanding value.
Could have been better - not like Farnham Heaven’s Kitchen
This is the second time we have eaten there again we had fillet steak and again it was tough we did let them know probably won’t eat there again
Overall a good experience and service was generally ok although was a slow start - sitting there for a good 10 minutes before drinks were offered. The waitress was very nice but obviously hadn't got a clue about the menu and was unsure on how to use the tablet - a lot of umming and ahhhring as she looked around the tablet for the right choices. We assumed she was new so no real issue but always nice to have serving staff that actually know the food and some idea of the wines on the wine list without having to look at the menu to confirm what you want. Also if your guests order steaks, you kind of expect the server to know you will need a steak knife and not have to wait for the steaks to arrive to then ask for one. Food itself was pretty good although the steaks were a bit bland, certainly the ribeye was very bland - no real flavour at all. All other food was really good so no complaints there but I think chef needs a bit more experience on steaks before you call yourself a steak house. Overall a nice evening and it would not put me off going again but I might avoid the steak next time especially at premium prices.
Although my dining companions' food was OK, mine was awful. The ribs had been reheated to the point where they were hard and inedible. Although we were given complimentary coffee, no one actually apologised to me or offered me another main instead. We felt that the price for what was essentially pub food was far too expensive. We have eaten at the Squirrel over a nimber of years. I doubt we shall return.
Excellent food and service. Staff very friendly and helpful. One of the best Sunday roasts I have had.
Great food, wonderful staff and a very pleasant atmosphere- thank you

Staff very friendly and efficient, food very tasty and well presented & cooked.
Lovely food, good value, excellent service. What's not to like?
Average at best. Sharing Sunday roast platter Most was luke warm, veg hard and very sparse. Not given “all the sides” as advertised Meats very unequal in quantity and quality, lamb seemed to be missing completely. Gravy cold, plates cold, restaurant cold! Will not return
Food was great as was the service couldn’t fault anything
Really good Sunday roast and a huge portion! Friendly and attentive service!
Good quality food varied menu and attentive staff. We will return.
