Unfortunately we could not go on the date booked online as they were closed that day. However we did go 5 days earlier and were wowed by the quality of the food, the pleasant staff and the cost which was surprisingly reasonable given the overall quality

a well to do place with food higher qualitty than normal menu is well thought out and the puddings are especially good. must go again but for a treat.

Excellent service. Attractive menu and wine list at reasonable prices. The main courses could have been served hotter. One felt they had been waiting for a while under a heat lamp.

Though now moved into the hotel restaurant (smaller, more intimate) Harts has retained the quality and service it always had. The food was delicious and the waiter was excellent - going to speak to the chef to obtain a different vegetarian option when we asked. Prices were realistic and the food was value for money.

There was an excellent menu with plenty of choice from the normal and/or Christmas menu. A bottle of organic red wine was delightful. Ambiance and service were just right.

Good food and friendly efficient service in a pleasant, comfortable environment. This supplemented by a good range of prep dinner and wines. Our Corbieres was particularly nice.

Exquisite food as usual and excellent service! We ate off the a la carte menu choosing a main and a dessert. I was treating my niece as part of her 18th birthday celebrations and the chef prepared her a special plate of petits fours to mark the occasion. She was thrilled!

The service was excellent but sadly not all the dishes were equal to the staff. The stuffed courgette flowers were especially disappointing being totally over powered by tomato

The food was excellent started with morel mushrooms in garlic sauce.mains was fillet steak cooked to perfection then I had cheese board for dessert.The service was excellent being greeted at the door and service at the table.It was my husband's birthday they brought out a plate of mixed desserts with happy birthday written on the plate.

Staff friendly, we all chose the set menu which was limited to two choices on each course. My starter of ham hock with black pudding was fairly bland, but main course of guinea fowl with risotto was delightful and tasty. The side vegetables of beans and broccoli spears were cooked to perfection. Four of our party of 6 had puddings which were very acceptable plus two bottles of wine, I felt that at nearly £50,00 per head this was paying top price for what we had.

Food and service was very good and timely, staff were friendly without being overbearing, one nice thing about this restaurant is that you can have a conversation over dinner without being drowned out by background music playing too loud, pleasant environment.

From arrival to departure the service and welcome were excellent. Good advice given for the choice of wine to go with our meal and the food itself was exquisite. We weren’t hurried or were allowed to take as much time as we wanted. All in all a fabulous experience!

The service and food at this restaurant is top class, it could not be better. Staff are very polite and attentive and the food is very up to date with new menu's with unusual combinations of food. The light and airy modern setting of the restaurant is very pleasant and relaxing.

We like to visit and dine at Harts two or three times a year and as ever you are greeted and treated in such a special way. The service is always impeccable and the food never disappoints. Utterly delicious everything! An added bonus on Sunday19th November was the voice of Campbell Bass and we even had a dance.Perfect

Fabulous food. Excellent, knowledgeable waiter. Good location and very pleasant surroundings. It was my husband’s birthday and our wedding anniversary and they wrote Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary in chocolate on our dessert plates - a very thoughtful touch. A great evening out.

Harts is a very special restaurant, we were celebrating our ninth Wedding Anniversary and the food and service was as good as ever. Every visit we are made so welcome. Well done to all.

The staff seemed suprised and apprehensive to find that two seventeen year olds had made a reservation, restaurant felt eerily quiet with no background music playing as when we ate the restaurant wasn't busy. Lovely food and great service

Would have put zero if I could have. The most overpriced disappointing meal ever. And on my birthday. Never again. If this is one of the best restaurants in Nottingham it makes the cut look very parochial. Wouldn't last six months in London

First time at Harts and it delivered in all area's. Will definitely go again to dine on the expert food sourced locally and enjoy being pampered from greetings to goodbyes
