More about the restaurant: Haandi
Founders Pradeep Mullick and Ray Bhangra opened their first Haandi restaurant in Nairobi back in 1991. Nearly a decade later, the team set up shop in London’s Knightsbridge, quickly establishing themselves as leaders among fine Indian restaurants in London. Named after the haandi, a cooking pot used frequently in the North Indian kitchen, Haandi serves some of the cities most flavourful curries in a beautiful location on Cheval Place, just moments from Hyde Park.

Just a quick stroll away from Harrods, Haandi is home to some of London’s most authentic North Indian curries and South Asian specialties. Recommended by the Michelin Guide and winners of numerous prestigious accolades, the team at Haandi is committed to providing Knightsbridge locals and tourists alike with the very best in the realm of Indian cuisine. A large, bright dining room creates the perfect atmosphere for dining on the city’s best curries, and a kitchen separated only by glass allows guests to watch as their dishes are prepared by a crew of talented chefs.
At Haandi, guests are treated to a huge range of North Indian specialties, including a separate vegetarian menu for the restaurant’s herbivorous fans. Try out spicy dishes like the kake di lamb curry (lamb served on the bone with curry, onions, tomatoes and spices) or the jeera chicken, which blends Kenyan-inspired cooking methods with Indian spices and ingredients. Satisfy that sweet tooth with gajjar halwa (carrot pudding with almonds) and pista kulfi (pistachio ice cream) or take the healthy approach with a hot cup of tea to wrap things up. Located on Cheval Place in London’s swanky Knightsbridge, the chefs at Haandi are masters of upscale Indian cuisine. Making a reservation is advised.
