I have been to Gustoso several times now, and have never been disappointed. My visit yesterday was even better than before. The menu is good and just that little bit different from other restaurants, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It is not the cheapest place to dine, but neither is it overly expensive.
We did have a very nice lunch. The service was very good. Also the food was very good.
Not too busy but enough people in there on a Thursday night in winter when raining to fill you with confidence. Food and service great. Prices very reasonable. Loved it
Fantastic from start to finish. Service by Fabio and food first class, the best paramigiana I have ever tasted!! Would definitely return
We had a thoroughly ejoyable evening with excellent food and wine. We arrived first and left last!
Great food, great location, great prices. Will deffo go again!
Everyone on our party of 9 had a wonderful time . The liver was gogeous and the service marvelous
Perfect venue for an early pre thesatre meal, would go back again in a flash
Nice place with good food and atmosfaere with space for a pram at the table which mean you can take your sleeping child out for dinner.
Super@ a very nice service and the best pastas near .
It is simply the best local restaurant there is, tucked away, unpretentious food cooked beautifully.
Gustoso is one of my favourite restaurants. Excellent food, service and ambience. Always a first choice for lunch or dinner with friends or family, and no complaints so far!
Fabulous authentic as good as anything in Italy! Would go again certainly!
Tasty food, good service, nice atmosphere - we enjoyed it
So friendly and the food was outstanding. Westminster's secret Italian fine food dining. I haven't been since 2013 and the food is still delicious, wine outstanding, service the best. Highly recommended.
Gorgeous. Love this restaurant and the wonderful staff!!! Will be back
Nice atmosphere, tasty food and good value for money. Will come back
Spectacular pasta. Great team. Awesome wine. ******* awesome experience. Will come back soon.
Fantastic staff, wine and food. Perfect Saturday night dinner experience
Great evening out. Great service and food for a group of 7.
Excellent. Good food , good service. Able to hold a conversation, so not too noisy. I shall certainly return.
Delicious food and very welcoming attentive staff . Looking forward to another visit soon.
Good food but service was a bit below par. Was served by a free waiters/ waitresses. One waitress was quite rude!
We were highly recommended to go to Gustoso the service was very good but we were very disappointed with the food. Sharon and Michael.
Another very enjoyable evening with friends at Gustoso. Thanks !
Nice ambience, excellent service and the most delicious lasagne. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but that is reflected in the quality and execution of the food.
All the staffs were very kind and quick to take order and serve. Also, the foods and the bottles of wine were excellent! We enjoyed the dinner and we recommend this restaurant as one of the most reasonable restaurants in London!
I went to Gustoso for the first time and I was really impressed. The dishes were well presented and the staff was very friendly. Food and wine are outstanding. If you want to try some proper Italian dishes I strongly suggest Gustoso!
Dear Gustoso restaurant, We enjoyed our evening last night – the food was mostly great, and the service excellent, as always. However, one of our party had food-poisoning as a result - he was up at 2am vomiting , unfortunately. As the other three of us had the same food and he was the only person to eat the veal pappardelle dish, it would seem to be as a result of that. It’s too bad, as he really enjoyed eating it. We obviously wanted you to know so that you can investigate, and wonder if you had any other reports of this today? We also wanted to mention that the although the burrata with truffle was superb, and the crab linguine as good as usual, the squid starter and the orecchiette with sausage were disappointingly bland, which is a shame, as we have enjoyed them so much previous times. Not sure if there was a change in chef last night, but these dishes were not up to your usual standard, unfortunately. This has rather made us hesitate about returning, which is a shame as we have been various times and have usually really enjoyed the food. Kind regards Andrea Derungs P.S. I emailed the restaurant on 9 Feb and to date have not had a reply.
Excellent food, and remarkable service given how busy the restaurant was. My pasta was one of today’s specials and outstanding. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Relaxed efficient hospitable and pleasant ambiance. Waiter service rapidly good. Reasonable prices. Would certainly go again. Worth discussing flavouring of specialist dishes with staff. Excellent location.
I found the food very good and the service good which allowed us to be relaxed. They were able to cater for one of the party who was a vegan and were unfazed when one of the party turned up 45mins late.
Great food, great service in a nice, out-of-the-way location. Staff were excellent and just the right level of attentive. Surprisingly busy for a Tuesday night - I can see why now!
A real gem of an Italian restaurant situated in a quiet area. Very attentive staff, excellent food. My only recommendation would be for a cheaper house wine.
A very good place to meet friends for lunch. Quiet atmosphere for chatting, delicious food, friendly professional service and keen prices. Great location near Victoria too.
Not the first time that I've visited Gustoso but as always the food was excellent, service attentive but not 'over the top' and the ambience is 'just right'. It's buzzy in the evenings but quiet enough at lunch times for a good chat with friends and we never feel rushed. Three lovely pastas and I had salmon on bed of spinach which had an amazing flavour. Three creme brulee with berries and one tiramisu, all divine. Excellent wine list too.
Another delicious lunch at Gustoso. The set menu is remarkable value: impeccably cooked squid and swordfish. Interesting wine list to suit all budgets, with house wine by the glass, carafe and bottle. Friendly service overseen by genial, experienced manager. If only more Italian restaurants in the UK were this good!
Very good service, delicious dinners. We all enjoyed our meals. Fresh ingredients, good wholesome Italian fair. Cream brûlée with berries. was the best I’ve ever had.
I arrived early. No problem. Waited for the other person, who was late. No problem. Very good meal. Excellent service. Will definitely return. Good experience.
Very good service but the food wasn’t outstanding. The pork chops for instance were dry, coming with no sauce or accompanying pasta. Our starters, including Parma and melon, were the stars of the show. Finally they have zero air conditioning, which is a problem in a heat wave.
Very nice meal. Booked a table for two, but in the end three of us turned up. No problem; very helpful staff. Nice meal, accommodating and helpful staff. All in all, a good experience at a reasonable price (for the centre of London). Will definitely return.
I hosted dinner last night at Gustoso for myself and a Kilburn friend. We both had a delicious time in the absolutely packed room. Service, as always, enchantingly friendly and the food fine and comforting...if my grandmother had been Sardinian this is the kind of lovingly prepared food she would have created in her kitchen. As a bonus--befitting the Enoteca portion of the name-there's a excellent wine list. A neighbourhood gem which is also worth travelling to for out of Pimlico foodies.
Another excellent lunch at this delightful restaurant: delicious and proper Italian food with a range of affordable wines in different quantities to suit all palates & pockets, professionally served with charm and skill.
Much as I had enjoyed many previous visits to Gustoso, I hadn't eaten there for a while. I was absolutely delighted once again by the warm and friendly atmosphere and the unpretentious but beautifully prepared food. I was hosting lunch for three friends, all of whom know and love Sardinia and they now share my enthusiasm for this truly lovely Pimlico gem. I will definitely be returning many times in 2018.
Excellent food, my friends enjoyed the risotto very much, the squid was excellent. They will be back with some more friends. The wine was nice too.
Had a lovely lunch with friends yesterday, service was a little slower than usual but it was pretty busy so not surprising. Always a friendly welcome and great atmosphere. RW
A very nice, friendly, family-run restaurant close to Victoria station. Always good value for money and somewhere we enjoy going to on a regular basis.
We enjoyed our experience. Food was good& atmosphere congenial. The only point stopping full marks was rather chaotic Service at first for lack of dedicated waiter but the fault was corrected.
Couldn't fault the food or service. We had special birthdays in our group and the staff made us feel very special. Will definitely go again if I'm in the area. Everyone was so welcoming.
Situated close to Victoria, in a quiet street behind Westminster Cathedral, Gustoso is a rare haven of calm, especially on a hot summer lunchtime. An intelligently-planned prix fixe two- or three-course menu in addition to the a la carte and wines available by the glass, carafe or bottle, makes it very flexible to suit both the budget and the palate. Service is efficient but not intrusive. An ideal place for lunch with friends.
