Good experience, but they put beer in the gravy which made it taste bitter. The steak and ale pie wasn’t a pie it was a Cassarole with a puff pastry top.
Excellent food, first rate staff who went extra mile with disabled elderly person. Thank you.
Food very good, service a little slow. Restaurant very cold, I kept my jacket on
started off good then there was a delay for the sweets and all are orders were messed up we were offered a 10 per cent off
The staff were horrible the food wasn’t fresh it was very disappointing, wouldn’t go back again
Good and filling Sunday lunch, good service, pleasant ambiance, enjoyable
Excellent in every way. We had a delicious meal, which arrived quickly. Staff were very pleasant and courteous, and it was all very reasonably priced. Couldn’t fault it.
What a lovely find Gupshill Manor was. The staff were very welcoming to us and our two dogs. A beautiful pub restaurant, with a varied menu and beautiful food which was well presented. I would definitely return if I am in the area.
The food was lovely and great portion sizes. All the staff were friendly and we really enjoyed our lunch here thankyou.
Good food, good price. Very quiet as it was Monday lunchtime. Interesting building. Parking. Lots of different spaces inside and out. We all enjoyed it. Good choice of place to visit
Went with two people with mobility issues, staff attentive and thoughtful on a busy Mothers day food was lovely and we didn't feel rushed.
Absolutely beautiful food, couldn’t beat it.. clean plates all around. Definitely coming again
Visited to celebrate Mother’s Day. Excellent reception on arrival, great menu with a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes. Food cooked to perfection and delightful attentive staff. What more can you ask for? Definitely recommend and will visit again soon.
Food was lovely. Menu had plenty of choice. Staff were good. Didn't have to wait long for food. No complaints. Will come again
Evening dinner as a group. Ok as pub grub, but not great quality. Sirloin steak chewy, salmon smothered in tomatoes puree and new potatoes huge and green. Would return for a drink and a tray of chips as the manor itself is lovely. Imagine it looks very pretty at Christmas.
Food was delicious and a good price. The only problem was it was chilly in the restaurant. They had fan heaters on but it’s a large room so would take a while to warm up. The food was all very hot though which was the main thing.
Visit and meals were extremely good . All the dietary needs were met with great satisfaction and could not have been more helpful , especially for G/F . Staff even wishing my 96 yr old Mother Happy Birthday on arrival . Would thoroughly recommend Gupshill manor. Thank you
We were a large family group meeting up - couldn’t fault anything - and definitely made the right choice of place to meet. The staff were so pleasant and attentive. The food we had pre ordered was extremely good and presented well. Totally recommend, thank you to Gupshill Manor for a lovely afternoon.
Had a lovely evening with great company and good food
Lovely atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food! Will definitely be returning.
Good honest pub grub... and drinks in a great pub
Enjoyed a lunch with friends. Great value set menu - and tasty food! Staff very friendly and attentive.
Room was cold, gravy spilt down one of our party with no apology, waitress cleared away several plates, did not return for rest, then waiter took two more, then wait for rest to be taken. Staff not aware of what was going On around them or table etiquette.
Great service and fabulous Sunday lunch. Lovely place to go.
Good service, staff very attentive and food was good 😊
Lovely food - nice and warm No pressure to leave
Service a bit slow to start but staff were very polite and the food from the main menu was good value
Lovely food, polite waiting staff. Fairly quiet in the restaurant for a Saturday night, which was quite nice. Unfortunately they forgot one main meal!
We had a fabulous meal at the gupshill last night. The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were very generous. The service was very efficient and quick. No waiting about, and the staff were so polite and attentive. It really made our night. We will definitely be coming back!
The atmosphere was lovely the food was really tasty and lovely size portions. Good value for money x
Met up with friends for lunch. The staff were exceptionally good. Our waiter found out there was another soup I could have as the one nominated on the menu I was unable to eat. He even asked the chef for the soup recipe for me (not many would have done so). My husband and friends all said how they enjoyed their food and what value for money their meals were. Thank you for such an enjoyable experience.
Overall it was ok. Food was not of a brilliant standard. Chips were over cooked, steak was over cooked.
Very good - extremely prompt service at bar and table. Our waiter was excellent. We shall return.
Friendly bar staff. A roaring fire. Delicious food. What more could you ask for. The minute steak focaccia with a mountain of crispy tasty chips comes highly recommended
Everything was lovely, food, service great. Only thing was the room was cold. Our food went cold before could finish the meal. We rejected the first table offered as it was next to fire exit and was so draughty. Table on other side was bit better but meant we didn’t want to linger. We could see daylight around the fire doors, some draught excluding tape would be an easy fix & help keep heating bills down. This wasn’t in the old part of the building. The staff told us the heating had come on & it would soon warm up, it didn’t! With bookings why wasn’t heating on earlier?
Lovely home cooked food, service a bit slow, nice venue
At £20 for two courses it was very good, although the waffle was a bit tough to eat.
Food as goog as always, never had a bad meal here. Staff always friendly
The service, food and value for money was great my only grumble was the selection of veg with the roast I would like to of seen more for 4 people
Myself and mum visited yesterday and we were welcomed by wonderful staff! Inside Gupshill Manor is so beautiful with a peaceful roaring fire! Service was perfect and the food was incredible! We both had a sirloin steak and shared a brownie for dessert! We cannot wait to visit again! Thankyou for making our visit so perfect!
A delicious couple of main meals - salmon, potatoes, green beans and also root vegetable crumble with salad. A roaring fire, which was being tended as we arrived. Great staff and service, as always, in a beautiful, historic property. Highly recommended!
The good was delicious but very small portion so was still hungry and I do not have a big appetite
Great food, great service. Really like coming here for a treat.
Great food and good service, we visited on the Sunday before Christmas and had the roast dinner. The quality of the meat was very good and the Yorkshire puddings are excellent.
Accommodated us with a dog and baby at short notice and the food was all lovely and reasonably priced.
Nice atmosphere with fire blazing friendly staff good food too
Very good service and food well done to the team
Really nice place, real fires, good staff, nice food and service!
Helpful staff. Lovely ambiance. Great food. Will definitely be returning.
Barman was not very welcoming or hospitable so felt uncomfortable from start-annoyed as it was my mum 92nd bday lunch treat! Meal was lovely and great menu choice!
