We live very close to the Griffin and it is very convenient to dine there. That is bonus and we always enjoy the meals which h the Griffin serves up.

Possibly too much potatoes mash & roast bit much. Menu was out of date but the meat Yorkshire pudding perfect. Prefer roasted vegetables. But won’t stop me returning as we love the place. My rhubarb pud was great

Usually pretty good. But, this time, in spite of asking twice that the veggies be well cooked, they were’nt. carrots were brick hard and broccoli stalk also solid. Meat wasn’t up to scratch either. New Chef 🤔

Loved the food/pub but there was nowhere to park! They have very limited parking at the pub itself and across the road the public car park was also completely full!

Family visit, we all had the delicious Sunday roast with extra yorkshires and gravy. Four of us had desserts which were very tasty, the rest were too full of the roast. The service was speedy too, highly recommend The Griffin.

Service and food just lacked the finishing touches. The pie came out without gravy and broccoli - we had to ask for it. Another dish was supposed to come with salad but chips were provided instead?! A desert came without the coulis and another was not as advertised and just thrown onto the plate. Saying that what was provided was tasty (for most of us). Perhaps it was an off night?

A lovely relaxed atmosphere, food was delicious (best vegetarian roast I have enjoyed in a long time) and the rest of the party enjoyed their traditional roast very much. The Griffin have got it just right - perfect! Thank you!

The food & staff were great. Only issue was the pitbull dog off the lead wandering round the tables.Assume he was the owners, but not ideal.

Very easy to book a table online. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. However there were items from the menu we ordered which we didn't get ie bread and butter and also water for our table. The fish was slightly dry and there wasn't enough tartar sauce or mushy peas. The dessert was amazing though!

Friendly atmosphere but quieter than we expected on a Friday evening. Food good (new menu) but a slight kerfuffle with service as one main came out with a starter. But quickly corrected. I think it was a new team member just learning the till system. For info; I love dogs but not everyone does and the resident one visits every table. Gorgeous boy though!
