Great food and great service too in a very pleasant setting. Would visit there again very soon . Great place to take family of friends.
There were five of us having brunch and one meal was warm and another was cold and had to be sent back. The service was better than previous visits. The food was of a good standard eventually.
The venue is getting a bit run down unfortunately. Not a very refined dining experience for the price. Food was well presented but that's was about it.
We had two dreadful roast lamb dinners, which were all gristle and fat . The management were kind enough to deduct these items from the bill . However the two diners were left hungry having saved themselves all day . The other problem was it was very cold even though another table of diners asked the staff to switch off the cold air con which was directly above them . One member of staff told me they were cold. This spoiled the visit and the dining experience .
Great place, great food and great service. The staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant. Highly recommend the place and the cocktails are amazing.
Excellent food and service. Good atmosphere. We enjoyed the Sunday roast.wine and beer choice could have been more extensive. But overall we were very happy with the meal..
Great, quirky place. Excellent food and fantastic cocktails. Not cheap, but worth it as an occasional one off. The restaurant is secluded from the bar area, which almost makes it feel like two premises. The bar was exceptionally busy when we went (in the evening on Good Friday). There was a live singer on but we couldn't hear him in the restaurant. Service was efficient and pleasant. All in all, a good night on Good Friday.
Attended for Sunday lunch . Had to send the beef back as it was inedible. The rest of the food was nice and staff are very helpful
Really nice restaurant with a friendly welcome, high quality food, really good ambience and very attentive service. Would definately recommend for a relaxed meal out.
Lovely atmosphere , amazing service, food was beautiful. The chateaubriand was the best I've had in all the world A perfect evening in a perfect setting with the perfect date.
Planned for a nice relaxing evening which we have always enjoyed on previous visits. Unfortunately on this occasion, the downfall was we had to share the restaurant with 8 uncouth individuals. Their language and volume control had no limits. What should have been a enjoyable evening resulted in us choosing to vacate before dessert and coffee. We decided to leave due to the lack of intervention by the staff. This was a disappointing end to the evening. Maybe we were unlucky tonight.
Very disappointed. My parents wanted to take me out for my 40th. First of all I asked for my young daughters main to come with the starters, didn't happen. Then they missed one of the main meals off the order. Not child friendly no crayons or anything for them. Desserts mixed up too. Asked for strawberry and cream and got something totally different. Won't be going back or recommending.
Lovely food very different. Very varied menu excellent service with very friendly staff very attentive but not intrusive . My daughter took me for my birthday and it was lovely. Would highly recommend George's as it was a lovely evening. Thank you .
Service was great and the staff were lovely. We went for afternoon tea which was delicious, we will defiantly eat there again in the future
Me and my partner go here regularly and I have also taken several friends to this resturant, we love the food and atmosphere and staff always really helpful and friendly. The is separate bar area that has live singers and the atmosphere always looks nice and busy when you walk through to go to the WC's
We Really enjoyed our meal . The staff were very friendly and attentive . We would definitely go back and recommend it to our friends .
I had visited George's previously and loved it. Unfortunately this visit didn't live up to that experience. I had previously sat upstairs and loved the decor and atmosphere. We were seated downstairs, the room was over lit, making it feel a bit stark and there was little atmosphere. Our main courses were beautiful - 8/10 but the desserts were really poor 1/10. This was really disappointing. I'm not sure I would visit again
I had a fillet steal and asked for green salad. I was given mixed treen veg. My steak was tasteless and chewy in part, Very disappointing, My wife had Haddock which was fine.
Excellence- food great - service great and they were able to accommodate the fact I had a leg injury and I was unable to bend my knee . Very impressed
Lovely restaurant. Delicious food. Staff amazing, very friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back. Recommend the steak and peppercorn sauce with a glass of Pinot
The food was very good and the service also very good. I highly recommend this place for my friends, Thank you very much for me
We visited George's for Mother's Day. I expected it to be quite busy but was surprised when we arrived, it wasn't over full or noisy which was nice. The restaurant had a set 3 course menu, the starters were lovely! The main wasn't as nice as the usual Sunday lunches, the lamb was quite fatty (which I know can happen) and the roast potatoes were quite dry and had little colour, it was like they had been pre cooked. The desserts were lovely although they took a while to arrive and the daffodils for the ladies was a nice touch too. I'm not sure id return for Mother's Day/Father's Day again
Great atmosphere and service as usual. Food was lovely and all came at the same time. We go often to georges as the breakfast is different.
Bacon chop was very salty but the bream and the tortellini was nice. Waitress was friendly and polite. Good overall and i would go again
A nice restaurant with welcoming staff. The food was tasty and well presented. We took our 2 children (4yrs & 7yrs) who enjoyed their food but found the children's portions were too small.
Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and attentative staff, we all felt welcome and at ease. Good service throughout. Good food. Overall great visit and would visit again.
Lovely staff and cant help you enough, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was chilled and relaxed and to be honest i could of stayed there all night, definitely will be going back soon .. makes you want live in the area.. was really lovely
Excellent meal and the staff second to none. We were celebrating a family birthday and given a free cocktail for the 'birthday boy!' Will be returning soon.
Good food, service and cocktails were excellent. Pork belly and monkfish were very good and presented well, finished off with an excellent take on raspberry parfait.
Lovely place, really good service & friendly staff, however the Sunday lunch leaves a lot to be desired, tasteless, undercooked veg, gristly meat. Shame as it's a lovely place otherwise
Great service from all of the staff. They were attentive, polite and made us feel welcome. The Hake was yummy and the Sticky toffee pudding was amazing!
Lovely lunch with my family this afternoon, food was lovely, extensive choice. The service was very efficient. Couldn't fault it and will definitely visit again soon.
Atmosphere , food and service unfaultable. Ambiance is great and felt welcome . Staff couldn't do enough to help and were always on hand .
Had a lovely time with friends, we were served some fab food, great menu, generous portions and great service and to top it off a lovely birthday cocktail.
very enjoyable evening. Food was good and service was faultless. Restaurant was not over busy although a large party was being catered for. A great Saturday evening for us all and we have no problem in recommending and returning.
Lovely place to eat in a pretty village. Food was excellent as was the service of all staff. They were all extremely pleasant, professional and friendly. The set menu was inexpensive and well presented. We were pleased to find such a gem of a place for our lunch. All the menus we looked at appeared good and value for money. We will be returning.
Amazing food (had the duck and the wife had the lamb both where cooked to perfection) and the cocktails where great . Will def be going back soon.
Really lovely afternoon tea with friends. Large portions and great service from the staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any and all occasions.
A stylish and modern restaurant with an adventurous menu of good quality food and excellent service. The dishes are beautifully cooked and presented and the wine choice is also varied and interesting.
Meal came with fries however they were overlooked, dry, hollow and burned. We asked for some fresh fries which took that long it was like another course. Ordered the deconstructed apple pie with ice cream, came ice cold with cream. Once we got the attention of the waiter to ask if it was supposed to be cold he asked us what it said in the menu. He checked with the chef and it was supposed to be hot so we asked for a sticky toffee pudding instead with ice cream. We got about six blobs of ice cream as which was a complete joke. Felt because we complained they would want to give us what we wanted but ruin it anyway. Disappointing.
Booked online, got lovely table. Staff attentive but not overbearing. Had set Sunday lunch - delicious. Only criticism more dessert choice as nothing chocolatey on offer.
Very nice chilled out restaurant., great ambience, great staff, very good food and in a great location. It has a comfy bar area, look like good outdoor seating area around the back of the premises and also good availability of areas which facilitate private dining. This was out first visit, we dines as a family of adults (8 of us) and enjoyed a very nice, unrushed time. We will definitely return.
Always good when I eat here. We love to come for drinks in the bar too. One of the nicest places to have a cocktail in Worsley. Great atmosphere in the bar that doesn't infringe on the restaurant....just needs a slightly later licence.
Waiting staff very good. Food awful. Waited over an hour fr main course and when it came the beef was so tough we could not eat it.The waiter agreed the meat(Beef) was tough and we got 20% off the meal. Soup was not nice also. Very limited vegetarian option and when the main course arrived looked like a starter. Also 4 items were not available from the main course menu. Overall this was a lunch to celebrate a birthday and it was so disappointing. We will not be returning again.
I have been to George's many time and I have always had the most fabulous night. Harrison one of the waiters is a credit to Georges. So professional each time we go. The food and service, and the atmosphere is out of this world. I cannot praise this place enough.
its a beautiful place to visit whether for breakfast, lunch, snacks, cocktails or just for a cup of coffee. Lovely staff and delicious food. Had a lovely family meal, will definitely visit again.
Food was lukewarm throughout. Selection of breads was just one type of bread. Lamb dish very good. Puddings terrible. Decor and atmosphere good but wouldn't go back
Good food and well presented. The service was excellent - professional but very friendly and welcoming. A really nice relaxed atmosphere for a Weds night.
Food was steady away. Service very friendly just needs to have everyone on their a game. Roast Beef well done should never be an option ever. Fair enough, our guys shouldn't have chose it but come on chef....
Food was lovely and the service was good too, everyone had a smile on their face. And nothing was to much for them. Would recommend to friends and family for sure.
