Lovely NYE afternoon.Fabulous food. We had Tapas to start which was delicious followed by chicken forestiere and a pork. Delicious too full for pudding

The presentation of food , the service, the ambience… all a step up from anywhere else in the area. Love it!

We all had the Christmas menu. The parsnip soup was delicious but unfortunately the main Turkey dinner although tasty was not plentiful. One potato, half a carrot with sprouts which you couldn’t get your fork into.

Excellent attention and service at the table. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. All four of us chose a roast and found it to be very good with great selection of vegetables and good amount of lovely roasties. Only one downside was the green beans were stringy and tough, couldn't cut with a knife. Good choice of desserts and delicious. Will definitely go again.

We were there for much on the first day of the Christmas menu. The food was very very good indeed and the service simply incredible. It was quiet as it was a Wednesday lunchtime so hard to gauge atmosphere. All in all a great experience.

Came wanting brunch to be told it usually finishes at 11.45. not the best service, felt unwelcoming and friendly,

Sophie the waitress was kind and friendly and really looked after us and surprised me with a Happy 50th Birthday message on my dessert plate. It was lovely.

It's the second time we've been here, the staff are friendly but efficient. The food is excellent and comes piping hot to the table. We're relatively local but if you're not local, it really is worth a visit.

Love this place. Food is always amazing. The braised lamb Henry was so tender and just feel off the bone. 100 % recommend

What surprised me was my friend and I ordered the same dish and they were not the same quantity . Felt like I wanted to say something, but didn't. They are small portions in George's anyway, but my friend had hardly any sauce on her dish. Mine was ok

We had a meal for 4 people to celebrate my son's 21st birthday on 18th June. Food was lovely and great customer service. We cannot wait to return again 😁

We were very happy with our experience on Sunday 24th April. We had a traditional Sunday lunch which was lovely. The beef and lamb were tender and perfectly cooked. All round, everything was good and we will definitely be going again soon.

The waiter was abrupt. Food wasn’t good- not George’s usual standard at all. No one came to ask if everything was alright. Eggs Royale is made with smoked salmon not flakes of fresh salmon!!

Made to feel very welcome. Staff friendly & helpful especially with my disabled mum. The birthday cocktail for mums birthday a lovely treat. Food was delicious we all really enjoyed. Look forward to visiting again soon!

Tried to have a birthday tea however after booking on line was told I had to book by phone. They would not do tea even though the entire row behind were having it as “they had no way to do it” charged over £90 for a very poor sirloin and very dry pork loin. Stated they had no non alcoholic beer, wine or spirits but offered a cocktail that contained tanqueray non alcohol gin. Customer service very poor will not be going back

The Sunday roast was delicious and sticky toffee pudding dessert was incredible. The 3 course offer was a fantastic price too we will definitely be back.

Last minute sunday lunch ended up being the best wed had in a long time, service, food spot on and credit to the gentleman who was front of house he was rushed off his feet but never forgot to check on us. Well done.

The waiting time to order food was a long time. Ordered a jug of water which we had to ask for again as it never arrived. Asked for the desert menu which again had to ask for twice. The food was nice but nothing special.
