Great food and early bird deals that are real value for money. A small blip where our pudding order was lost and we had to wait for 30 minutes but they made up for it by giving them to us for free.
Although we have eaten at the restaurant several times we have never had Sunday lunch before. It was a very pleasant experience ; both the food and service were excellent.
Lovely food in relaxed surroundings. The staff were lovely and made us feel very welcome and a 25% discount on everything which just topped the meal off.
Lovely restaurant went for my daughters afternoon tea was a big party of us, brought the tea and coffee out last would rather had his at the beginning to have with the tea
The food is great with an extensive menu catering for all palates. The staff offer a very attentive and welcoming service and I would most definitely recommend.
Excellent food and drinks at George’s. There was a Monday special Tapas event, and it was enjoyed by all. Also, being Monday there were ‘Happy Hour’ drinks all evening, which were most appreciated. Overall a great way to spend a Monday evening. Will definitely return.
Service slow. Many Menu and drinks options not available at a Sunday lunchtime. When asked for bread instead we were told they didn't have enough of that either. Not in a hurry to return.
Friendly, attentive and efficient staff made our night out very special. Celebrating a 40th birthday, George's looked after the cake and made a fuss of the birthday boy. Will definitely visit again, the food was top notch.
Good food, imaginative menu, pleasant atmosphere, helpful and friendly staff. A pleasant experience which I would repeat and recommend to friends and family without hesitation.
Our first time in Georges. A lovely atmosphere where although busy, the service was excellent with good food with an interesting menu. We will certainly be back again soon.
Food cold, roast beef not good, very tuff. Restaurant needs lots of improvements, will not be returning. Service was good but food very poor. 😟
The food and service was fantastic with a great atmosphere thrown in. There were plenty of staff on who were very attentive. All in all a great evening.
went Out as a treat for my daughters birthday, there was me her mam and her 3 year old son, booked in the restaurant for six o clock, restaurant wasn’t to busy, shown to our table straight away, drinks order took a bit of time finally the waiter got our drinks order,we ordered the food same time, when the waiter brought our food out he had fogotten to order food for our grandson, who by this time was getting quite figgity, he had the odd chip and a little bit of fish from grandma, but I had to take him outside to as he was playing up a little,we came back in ,I finished my meal, when his meal finally came out, well because he’d had a bit of grandmas meal he did not want his, when I tried his fish it was dripping wet in batter, to be fare with the restaurant they had seen it was there mistake, and took the price off for our grandsons meal, overall a disappointing night, but the grownups enjoyed there meals.
First time at Georges we went for my Husbands birthday service was excellent, the atmosphere was great, Very surprised with the food portions they were a good size in fact we both struggled to finish it all, the Beef Wellington was amazing and the price was fair in fact I expected it to be a lot more expensive than it was and they offer lots of specials on different days and times Overall I couldn't fault anything at all we will definitely be returning very soon
Menu is a bit pricey. My son was misinformed about the dish he had. He ordered lamb and she told him it wasn't a piece of meat it was shredded and in a roll. We expected it to be like pulled pork but when it came it was like a sausage shape and when he cut into it it wasn't shredded it was minced if she had said this i the first place he wouldn't have ordered it. At £16 you expect better and he left most of it. He said it was like a kebab. The service was slow we waited over oh all an hour for food and the place wasn't busy. After our meal we asked for a desert menu which after 15 mins we never got so we left very disappointed.
Beautiful food, wonderful service. Would’ve given a 6 but the portion size of the steak sauce was tiny so we had to order another. Not a cheap meal but I was expecting and willing to pay circa £100 and in my opinion was worth every penny
Overpriced and overthought menu. Beef wellington was more like an enormous Cornish pasty and portion sizes on other dishes were small without much taste. A nice place for a drink or lunch menu but not particularly impressed by the evening food.
Lovely atmosphere, good food and prices. We always enjoy our time at George’s wether it’s for lunch, dinner or just a drink. Also superb coffee.
Great fresh food. Superb service and all in an fabulous setting. The restaurant was fresh, clean and had a wonderful atmosphere in all rooms. Will go again
Good atmosphere and great food. On arrival we were shown to or table and very quickly had drinks brought over. The staff were professional and attentetive. The overall service was excellent as was the food.
As always the food staff and atmosphere was perfect. We have been her a few times midweek and weekend at various times, and never disapointed.
Excellent food, great menu choices and offers. Staff are always attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere with live music - not too loud that you can have a conversation. Absolutely loved (finally) tasting the Worsley gin!!
The restaurant was busy with a lovely atmosphere. We both had steaks one rib eye and the other fillet which were lovely. The service from Steven and the staff was exceptional.
I took my mother out for lunch on Sunday as a treat ,we both decided to try the Sunday roast We wasn’t disappointed it was lovely. We will definitely be going back soon.
Went for brunch. The food was great and well presented. The staff were very friendly aswell. Service was a bit slow but it was very busy and cause it was so nice didn't mind waiting a bit longer.
Fantastic night , felicity and the rest of the team made our night really special :) I suggested George’s to my parents for last nights birthday meal and it lived up to expectations plus some!!!! I massive thank you from all of us .... we will definitely be back x
Lovely Saturday morning brunch! Great service. ... ... ... .... .... .... ... ... .... .... .... ..... ... .. ... ... .... .... .
Unfortunately service was dire, over 45min wait for breakfast, no warning on food wait, we had to chase drinks, food & the bill. Once the food arrived it was lovely, but spoilt by the long wait & lack of communication from staff.
Superb dining, very leisurely meal. Our only complaint, we had booked our table and had to wait for the table to be set on arrival. The meal was for a birthday, a complimentary drink for the birthday guest.
Lovely setting , good choice, food doesn't come quick, but if freshly prepared it shouldn't and worth the wait. Doors open to keep us cool on another balmy evening.
Lovely experience and lovely food. My only criticism was the batter on the fish was soggy. My friend had the Beef Wellington and that was very tasty.
BEEN QUITE A FEW TIMES TO GEORGES AND HAVE ALWAYS LOVED IT. THIS WAS BY FAR MY LEAST FAVOURITE VISIT. THE YOUNG LADY THAT SERVED US DID NOT ENGAGE WITH US AND MADE US FEEL THAT WE WERE AN INCONVENIENCE, SERVICE WAS SLOW AND FOOD NOT TO USUAL STANDARDS.
Really nice brunch spot- visited with friends. Good food and service from the staff. Will definitely return for more some time soon Thank you very mych
Relaxed atmosphere in the centre of Worsley village. There was an excellent choice of food from the menu which was delicious and we where looked after by tentative staff
Service very slow , had to wait one hour minutes for brunch , restaurant wasn't full. Staff very apologetic and polite but still waiting a long time
Really nice not the cheapest but good for a nice meal out Would go again, been numerous times over the years. Staff always polite and helpful
Lovely breakfast and setting. Food took longer than I would expect considering we were one of the first tables in but was worth it when it arrived.
The service was very good and the menu was great, had the mussel starter and they were cooked too perfection and had a great sauce with them. Rib eye steak had a bit too much fat in it but would recommend
Amazing food on 'French night' great value and delicious cocktails / mocktails on offer. Highly recommend visiting on one of the Monday theme nights or on Tuesdays for 25% off. Great atmosphere.
The food was excellently presented & very tasty, and only let down by the size of the portions. Yes, there were 'side orders' we could have ordered separately, but at least a small portion of these should have been included.
lovely touch upon arrival complimentary glass of fizz with it being our wedding anniversary, the food was lovely, nice ambience would definitely return and recommend
Menu good also as I’m GF good range friendly staff my only disappointment was desserts for GF only one choice from early bird menu but they accommodated well
Poor vegetarian options unless you like goats cheese and celeriac! My meal was very bland. Meaty options were enjoyed by our party but my meal (stir fry) was very disappointing and I could have made it better myself at home.
The service was great however we had a roast and it was nice but not enough hardly any veg 2 small roast potatoes I do not recommend this but great place for a drink
We really enjoyed it yesterday! Everything from the service, the setting, food (especially the ox cheek and the desserts) was superb. We would be definitely coming back again.
The fixed price, early bird menu was amazing value and had a really good selection of dishes. A starter of duck with oriental salad was big enough to pass for a main course and delicious to boot. The bream to follow was also delightful with a tasty crispy skin. All for £13.50! Friendly service and a tasteful, relaxed setting sealed the experience, definitely worth a visit.
Lovely venue, great setting, third time we have eaten here and would recommend to everyone. Very busy tonight and possibly a little short staffed for such a busy evening.
Great place, great food and great service. I will go there again
We had a really enjoyable evening . The staff are very friendly and efficient. The food was lovely though I could have done with more than one king scallop for the starter .
Service was perfect, food was delicious. Beautiful location and environment. Lovely touch with a birthday cake for my man. Fantastic value, will definitely be visiting again.
