They are lovely. A gidden gem of Dorking and Mickelham.
Although we were the only eaters (6) we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Frascati. The service was excellent as was the food. We have been several times and have enjoyed each visit.
Fantastic Christmas Menu - Very Helpful staff always happy to help
Restaurant empty on arrival at 1pm. Coffee machine inoperable. No printed bill which was presented on a dirty platter.
A good meal that everyone enjoyed. Good Italian food well served. More people need to know about this place. ther are not many of them left.
The food at Frascati is always really good, and yesterday was no exception! Great!
great food and great value thoroughly enjoyed it. will come again
Fantastic service and exceptionally tasty food! Will definately go back again
Everything was good. Just love this restaurant. Shame we don’t live closer.
For a Bank Holiday Saturday, there were not many covers, which was a pity. Our waiter was very sociable and kind, and the food was very good. We had been warned that the portions were generous, so shared two starters between four and still couldn’t manage dessert! We’ll be back!
Food and ambiance very good Pedro very helpful, very enjoyable eveminh
This is our favourite restaurant for being with friends- great food and great value. Our only concern is how few customers there are. the place is so quiet; we are often the only people there. It's such a pity.
Awful experience from start to finish, the in house menu is more expensive than the online menu, ordered the ribeye steak which was unavailable and replaced by a very small and cheap sirloin asked for medium cooked came out blue, ordered sautéed potatoes which never came but was on the final bill, chef was unkempt, creepy and appeared drunk,(too scared to send food back). Had to pay extra for chips/sautéed potato’s to accompany the steak(never had a steak meal where you had to pay extra for chips etc) steak was meant to come with a creamy mushroom sauce...sauce turned out to be gravy with not a splash of cream and n sight or taste! The butter to accompany the bread was cheap margarine, stains on seat salt pots FILTHY,
Starter was ok, main was poor over cooked, claimed to be Italian restaurant but not sure it is.
superb food excellent service very nice atmosphere will be going again soon
Carlos was a great waiter. The food is excellent. Authentic Italian. You won’t be disappointed.
Excellent food and very engaging service. A really enjoyable evening - would recommend and will be going back.
Whilst the tables were neatly laid and clean the decor was tatty and in need of a face lift. Faded pictures were old and not straight. Restaurant was not very hot. Outside temperature at 18:45 was 10 deg C. Overall not a good atmosphere.
The food was excellent, unfortunately the staff were not so good. The chef was drunk and I also believe the waiter was drunk as well. They were constantly arguing and swearing in the distance which made the experience a bit uncomfortable..
Food was exceptional, especially my Aubergine Parmigiana starter. Chef and waiter were very entertaining and amusing and clearly love what they do. This is a delightful restaurant, one of my all time favourites, and looking forward to going again.
We were the only ones in the restaurant as it was evening on Mother's day. The place had been full all lunchtime. It seemed they were keeping the place open for us especially which was nice and we had the waiter's full attention! The chef came out to see us also. The food was delicious and rack of lamb perfectly cooked. The seabass was also very good. My daughter's mushroom risotto was creamy and divine. My son was happy with his steak.
Delicious food and great service, our first visit - we will come again.
We have driven past this restaurant many times and thought we would try it out. The positives are that the food is good and the waiting staff are friendly and attentive. The negatives are that it feels so sad and dated. The decoration is really faded, takes us back 20 years and not in a good way. The music was 1950s crooners (again not in a good way) and the lighting was pretty stark which is not what you want. I feel bad to give this review as they are obviously trying but I think that this could be a much better, more popular restaurant.
Very Good food, at a very reasonable price,; very pleasant surroundings with very friendly stafff overall I would rate as 9.5 out of 10.worth dinning there.
We went here today for my Dad’s birthday and we had an amazing time, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. We will definitely be coming back!! 😃😃.
A very run down restaurant with tacky and badly maintained furniture etc. Bad food and average service. Not at all worth visiting. Even the jug of water served had an insect inside. Of course there was no waiting time- the place was almost empty.
Not as it used to be,restaurant was cold and the food although tasty was quite tough, staff polite and understanding, we will return and hopefully enjoy a good meal this time
Four of us dined at Frascatis and all meals were excellent. The staff are very friendly allowing us to enjoy the evening without too much fuss. It has such a wonderful ambience with the decor and background music and would definitely recommend it for a lovely evening out.
Poor food, poor decor, poor presentation, really nothing here that you would recommend other than the cheerful waiter who had blood on his shirt! An unfortunate dining experience
traditional Italian. food good. decor a bit tired and not that polished but not a problem as food was good. would go back. genuine waiter.
Lovely tasty authentic meal for a reasonable price but ambience a little lacking as only a few tables occupied which was a real shame! Would go back again.
Friendly restaurant , good service , good food , lots of it , feels like a step back in time to , say , the sixties , could do with more parking . Happy to recommend .
No atmosphere, we were the only ones there for most of our visit, then two more arrived. The waiter was working in the kitchen as well as serving tables. The whole place looked tired and in need of a refurbishment. Three of our meals were good, mine was very poor. We have visited this restaurant many times in the past, and it was always good and professional. This was not.
Very good service and good quality food. Sadly we were the only party there, which was sad, as the restaurant deserves much more custom. Hopefully this was just a one off.
Very warm welcome and excellent value and quality set Sunday lunch menu. Just the two of us, nice to have a relaxed lunch. Try it, you should be satisfied (ignore dated decor).
A superb meal. A generous, attentive waiter and delicious food in a comfortable, homely atmosphere. We will definitely be going back. ‘Old school’ and wonderful!
Homely 'rustic' ambiance with a warm and sociable welcome. Fine wine and excellent tasty 'home style' food, well cooked and presented. Good value for money and, little doubt that I will be introducing this culinary gem to others as well as returning soon!
Staffing issue meant that restaurant was very quiet but owner said he’d take care of us as we turned up. The food was exquisite. With no staffing issue it would be treat for anyone.
Staff were very attentive from beginning to end, food was really tasty we had go complaints about anything, had a lovely evening will be back.
We had a good time at the restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the food was nice however it wasn’t particularly clean. The decor is dated which is part of the charm but it could still be cleaner in particular the floor and chairs/chair cushions.
Superb food, very laid back atmosphere - a bit like going back to the 50's and 60's, but excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a really good meal.
I hadn't been here before and wasn't sure what to expect. A friend had been before and recommended it, but she hadn't been for a while. I thought it was going to be expensive. I was wrong on that score. What a lovely surprise. A two course set menu £13.50, and a varied choice. Quite large portions too. The service was wonderful and they couldn't do enough for us. Easy listening music in the background. Perfect.
Excellent service. Meal different for each of the four of us. Each dish was first class. Thank you Look forward to the next visit in near future
Food was quite excellent , rather large portions , but well cooked Service from Lexi was very professional and friendly Will certainly recommend Frascarti to our friends
Very nice staff and very nice ambiance, setting and decor, food okay but dated and not great. Very empty Nice walk up the hill behind.
Friendly and pleasant staff. Food good. Room very cold. Extra heater added since radiators not working, but room not warm until we left! Décor "tired".
Will be going again; lovely food and people. We have often passed Frascati and decided to book a table for my wife's birthday; glad we did!
Had passed this restaurant for about 30 years and thought to give it a try. First thing we saw as we were pulling up was a black board saying ‘ Beef currry and Rice ‘. Bit off putting when it describes itself as traditional Italian !! So we pulled away and went to a pub around the corner
Despite this being an 'old-style' restaurant, the food is just superb and really worth visiting! Highly recommended.- but don't worry about the tired decor- all the energy's in the food!
First time at Frascati Restaurant.. Excellent food, nice pleasant atmosphere with friendly, entertaining waiters ! Will definitely recommend this restaurant to all family and friends. Loved it :)
