All the staff were extremely polite and friendly. The food was amazing and can’t fault that. My only complaint was that the service was very slow, we had asked for the dessert menu which never came so we ended up asking for the bill instead which again was very slow and we were actually about to get up and pay as we left but someone did eventually came but aside from that we did have a lovely meal however this wouldn’t stop us from returning as there were quite a few tables for Sunday dinner

Great quality food for the price, the decor and ambience was lovely, a bit quiet at first but did get more of an atmosphere once is got a bit busier. We went around 7pm on a Saturday so would recommend going a bit later if you want a bit more of a buzz. The waiting staff where lovely, just some small things such as not pouring water for us when it was delivered, waiting a while for the bill and to order drinks that then came after we had finished our starter. We also had to ask for a steak knife. All little things and you could see they were all busy so would give them benefit of the doubt. Overall I would recommend. Especially for a date night or for family and friends. Particularly if they are a fans of master chef !👨‍🍳

Absolutely phenomenal service, food was amazing wait time was minimal with a through look through the menus before Ur seated at the actual table, me and mt husband were so pleased with everything and knowing that everything was made in house really showed in the food, absolutely coming back x

Lovely restaurant. Service was friendly and professional. Food was exceptional and reasonably priced for the quality. Hats off to the chef. Always a warm welcome, would recommend in a heartbeat. And if you haven’t tried the Tiramisu cheesecake, you’re missing a treat.

Fabulous lunch today. From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. The waiting staff were courteous but friendly. We chose from the festive set menu and the food was wonderful, everything was so full of flavour. Lovely experience from start to finish.

2nd visit for Sunday lunch.Our party of 4 was an hour early as we 10 pin 🎳 hadn't taken as long as I thought. This was no issue at all as we were seated and had a drink l, The food and service were both Fab-U-Lous!

Arrived expecting pie , but was not disappointed when told it was festive menu Food was amazing

Too much raw garlic with the prawns so that it overpowered the prawns. Chicken schnitzel wasn’t crispy, even seemed soggy. Too much spinach on the plate, just not a balanced plate. Chocolate brownie was hard and again too much sorbet…. Not a balanced plate. Struggled to get staff attention for drinks and ended up going up to the bar to get the bill.

Spectacular dining experience!! Attentive and professional staff, relaxed ‘no rush’ surroundings, and the food will blow you away. Flavours combined with considered genius. Reductions and sauces that set your tastebuds dancing, even the sides have been prepared with the forethought of a main course. Don’t miss this hidden gem.

Lovely place very attentive service and good food, if there was anything to critique it would be that the atmosphere is not intimate or cosy. We were sat close to other tables which meant we could hear every word of others conversations and it was cool in temperature.

We have dined here several times and rate it highly as our go to for special occasions. Curiously, although we were booked in for 7:30pm on a Friday evening we were the only diners - apparently it was busy at lunchtime and early evening. Our sole presence did not detract from our excellent dining experience. We could not fault the food, wines or service, they were all excellent, and thank you Stacey and her team. Just a little note about your website. It would be good if your extensive menus could be "zoom-able" as they are difficult to read, otherwise we cannot wait to return.

Sadly there was no welcome on arrival just a very curt ‘have you booked?’ question followed by the menu’s being placed on the bar for us to take. Unfortunately 3 of the 4 drinks we asked for were unavailable. The seating area smelt very fishy. The seating area was cold & then the hot air blower in the dining room was too much. The decor was cold & uninviting none of the candles were lit & we felt as if we could hear other people’s conversations as it was very quiet. We sat close to the dark empty raised seated platform & there was simply no atmosphere or pleasant ambience. Our waiter was amazing his care & professional approach was faultless. The chef excelled themselves with the food & my own food intolerances were catered for with great care & it was possibly the best meal I have had out since my diagnosis. Just a shame that the venue lacked warmth & I think someone to handle front of house with more panache would make a massive difference.

Had a lunchtime meal for two today. The staff, the food and the wine were faultless. A great way to celebrate our Ruby Wedding.

Hands down our favourite place to eat anywhere in the Midlands, the place has a real family atmosphere, the staff are all a credit and they're all so passionate about the food and your overall experience. The food is fine dining meets needing to undo your trousers at the end of the night. You leave not wanting for anything other than some looser fitting clothing and just counting the days until you can go back. Thank you again for a great dining experience can't wait for the next one!

We arrived before our booking time and the restaurant didn’t look busy, we were told that they had ran out of pigeon, as we walked in ( it was only 8pm )a dish a few of us had lined up as our choice, so we were a little disappointed to start. We looked at the menu and the specials board which we all agreed was a very good choice. 2 chose the smoked haddock to start 1 chose the cheese soufflé the other chose the tempura mushrooms. My wife and her friend both said straight away the haddock was far to salty and that I wouldn’t like it as I don’t like salt, but they chose not to complain so it didn’t disrupt the meal. My friend said the tempura mushrooms were a little underwhelming, not a great deal of flavour or taste, I had the cheese soufflé which was nice. For the mains my wife and her friend chose the award winning master chef fillet of beef with cottage pie which was all cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. My friend had the Duck which he said was cooked beautifully nice and pink and tasted delicious, I had the slow cooked lamb with dauphinoise potatoes which melted in your mouth and tasted amazing.We all decided to share a dessert, my friends decided to go for the cheese board, which they agreed was a great selection of cheeses and was fabulous but could have done with some celery or grapes to finish it off, my wife and I decided to share the homemade Tiramisu ( not for children due to alcohol content) which we both agreed was Devine We all said apart from the starters being to salty and running out of the pigeon so early on, the whole experience including the service was very nice.

Went last night for pie night. I opted for the sparkenhoe cheese soufflé and my husband had garlic and chilli king prawns to start, both were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We then both had the steak and ale pie, with herb roasted potatoes, veg and a side of pigs in blankets. The gravy is to die for, the meat was melt in the mouth and the roasties were perfection. Thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate and had a lovely lovely evening. Thanks all at fourwards for another great meal

Excellent food and hospitality as always at Fourwards. We chose to go here for our 25th wedding anniversary as it was local and trusted the team to serve up great food and drink.

From the moment we walked in to the restaurant we had amazing service and continued throughout the evening, Our meals were michelin star worthy food, absolutely incredible all praises to the chefs! Beautifully cooked to perfection, great portions and fabulous fresh produce. Even the cocktails were incredible!

This restaurant is a gem, it's more than a go to, it's a return to again and again. Thank you to all of you who work so hard and achieve so much at this lovely place. My pre starter starter was a crispy squid with a curried cream/mayonnaise...perfect to share with a drink before going to the table, oh and just to add the garnish of fresh dill on this dish was exquisite, have not tasted better. I had the Guinea Fowl special as my starter, so delicate, such a treat of a dish when it is done as well as this was. Little nuggets of black pudding in this dish which packed a real punch, were a perfect compliment to the delicate guinea fowl meat. For main (I was already sold) my favourite fish, Halibut. A pure white juicy 'chunk' of Halibut and it was a cracking piece of fish, I loved it - I'd say no more except for the fact that the fish came with a generous side bowl of minted baby new potatoes, amazing flavour, really amazing flavour, just like potatoes should taste, a little pepper and... boom! I'll mention the wine which was Fourwards choice of Viognier, it was super, I'd never had a Viognier before it was excellent. I really have forgotten exactly what my dessert was but it was gingery, marmaladey, creamy and fun with sprinkles on top, think I went a bit large on the Viognier. Thank You Fourwards. Loved it. The best ingredients, perfectly cooked and presented and I really have to add this... I was more than happy with the bill I received for such a super lunchtime experience. Go there people, it's a delight! I shall be returning in the very near future.

Always amazing, so lucky to have such a fab restaurant in the town. Food is just incredible, tastes so fresh and you can tell a lot of thought and love goes into the produce. The staff are very welcoming and friendly too. Big hit with all my family

Brilliant from start to finish. Fantastic food, genuinely thought it was better than a Michelin star restaurant I have visited. Wonderful, informative Front of House manager, who helped me pick wines to go with our meal. Highly recommend.

Magnificent as ever. Every aspect of every dish of the food , the wine and ofcourse the service was brilliant. Can't fault and will return when we can.

staff were all very nice ,very good service food was lovely

Everything lovely but unfortunately my seat was back to back with a child on the other table and constantly bashed my chair which didn't impress me. Parents didn't seem bothered. Extremely noisy, my partner had to keep repeating himself when you just wanted to relax and enjoy dinner and conversation. We will return but not on a Sunday.
