The food was excellent and is a great atmosphere to relax in. The pub has a varied choice of beers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended
Gravy could have been hotter for the Sunday Lunch but apart from that excellent value for money. Large portions service friendly and efficient Good atmosphere
Lovely find, with the outward appearance looking very traditional pub like :-) Inside is nicely decorated and they have an area that accommodates those with dogs, as we did - they even have treats on the bar for the dogs and provide water bowls as well. The food was delicious and there was no real wait for it. The downsides were that the choices for lunch were a little limited (especially for vegetarians) and the portion sizes were a little small. That said the atmosphere, quality of the food and friendliness/helpfulness of the staff ensured that we would certainly recommend this place to friends 🙂
Sunday lunch roast beef gravy like dishwater no flavour no taste even though the waiter said it had been reduced over a few days never poor vegetables and dinner only just warm terrible
Well presented tasty, service good and staff very polite and pleasant and friendly atmosphere good value for money four bells very popular also very clean
Fantastic food as always. Craig and his team really make every trip to the Four Bells a great experience, nothing negative to say. Excellent, thanks guys for a lovely birthday meal :)
My own meal was not as good as previous visits. The crushed new potatoes on my food were dry and tasteless and the vegetable portion massive. The lamb rump was sliced too thickly however the rest of the party were more than happy. A suggestion would be to have less potato on the main courses and perhaps one more pudding that is not a cheesecake or a brownie as they seem to feature on every pub menu. I'm sure they sell well but it is not something I would choose. The eve's pudding though was excellent. Portions are huge which are daunting. I think smaller plates are on offer but reducing the portions a bit would mean more customers may have a three course meal instead of one or two.
Our family love this place, the food, staff, atmosphere, prices together with a great sense of community within provide a relaxed & delicious way to enjoy great food.
We booked a table for 8 and all was fine, apart from the waitress forgetting my order. So everyone else got their food and I had to wait another 10 minutes for mine. Apart from that everything else was perfect.
Lovely food again, staff very friendly and attentive. Pub was empty when we arrived at 1pm but by the time we left at 2.30 it was packed so would always suggest booking.
The service was very warm and welcoming and the food was excellent, there were plenty of choice for good beers at the bar and l think that for two courses and two drinks for two people £45 is excellent value especially considering the quality of the food, we'll be looking forward to returning soon and recommending The Four Bells to our family and friends, cheers Oz and Sammy
This is our favourite place to come for a Sunday dinner as they do the best cashew nut roast. On this visit we brought a couple of friends with us after telling them how nice it was. They didn't let us down! We booked a table easily and they accommodated our little dogs and young children making us all feel welcome. The service and food were both excellent. Thanks Four Bells!
great welcome excellent fresh food with a lot of thought. lucky to have the best place for mikes within walking distance. super meat and fish always used.
We Celebrated our daughter's 21st birthday and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The food was very delicious especially the wood pigeon dumpling - a real wow factor!! Very good service as always.
Staff were excellent and so was the food. A very pleasant and enjoyable evening. The menu was excellent for my sister-in-law who can only have gluten free.
We went for Sunday lunch with 6 of the family and a baby. Food was delicious, atmosphere great and the decor in the pub is lovely. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Enjoyable evening with friends. Good service. Good atmosphere Most of the 'specials already gone by the time we ate at 7. 30 but food tasty but mash coltish and rather too much.
Excellent quality food in lovely surroundings. Friendly service but not too over the top. A great place to go for a girlie catch up/ family meal.
Fantastic meal wonderful staff and service Really enjoyed the night food was excellent .and a Valentine's gift to take home was a nice touch .
Amazing food and hospitality, as always! The refurb is fantastic too! Staff always welcoming and the atmosphere confirms this as it's the most lively village pub around
Finally visited 4 Brlls after many recommendations from family and friends. Delicious food. Good sized portions. Beer battered fish and chips exceptional. Visited Friday dinner time, so not busy. Friendly & efficient service.
My first ever visit. Great food, good service and great value for money. We ate at 2pm and could not eat anything else until the following morning.
Very good service and choice.staff polite and not pushy. The booking system good but would have expected an email confirmation from the restaurant. Overall a good experience.
Great food, great service ! Sunday roast beef was lovely and my son loved the burger. Lovely meal as always, thanks all! X x x
We booked to celebrate a wedding anniversary at 7.30. There was 6 of us and we were seated quickly and efficiently. The service was excellent although they were very very busy. After choosing from the menu our food was a little late but it gave us time to chat. The food was delicious and hot, and service was excellent. We have booked a table again for this Saturday and have no worries regarding the quality of the service and good. We have recommended the 4 Bells to other friends.
Always good quality food. A little pricey for a pub, but bearable. Service good, prompt and efficient. Good choice of real ales. An enjoyable evening.
A great visit all round excellent food and service where nothing was too much trouble with a gift for my girlfriend also after our valentines evening meal. Great value and made to feel valued will definitely visit again as it never fails to delight!
As always, superb. Good service and excellent food. Word word word word word word word word word word word word word words word word word
had not got the wine we wanted, also only 1 thing left on specials, 2 items not available on starter and it was only 7.00pm, then the card machine not working and they wanted us to leave bank detail so they could sort it the next day we did manage to get the money because it was only 2 of use needed it, will not be going back.
The food was excellent, well cooked and well presented. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips (no soggy batter or greasy chips) and the tartar sauce was superb. My pork and asparagus was simply delicious. The service was good and the staff friendly.
It was Nice food with Good service and as a result of that we Will go again. Dogs allowed which is good for us as we have a dog.
Great food served in a great atmosphere by friendly helpful attentive staff. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Craig and Gaynor have made an ordinary village pub into a gastronomic destination.
A truly exceptional place to have your Sunday lunch 👌 Amazing decor and superb staff. The real ales and tea options are plenty and of a high quality.
As always food was great and equally good service. The Four Bells is never just average we always leaving saying how lovely it was, and they have a great choice of beers and gins
Great food in a lovely atmosphere. The usual good quality service from Craig and the team - always welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Food was fine but really disappointed with the service - had to ask twice for a kids menu despite having a toddler with us and waited more than 1/2hr to be served then further 1/2 hr for food - roast dinners and a burger - to arrive. Also sat right by the door on a cold day meant it was freezing. Real shame.
Beautiful food and environment. Very relaxed family atmosphere. We had Sunday lunch for all the family . Children's portions are a great size and the brownie is beautiful!
Lovely food as always and very pleasant staff. Sensed that they were slightly understaffed though for such a busy period (Sunday lunchtime). Will definitely be going back.
Brilliant host (Craig), always a very warm and welcoming atmosphere especially with the wood burning stove on a cold evening. Food is absolutely top notch and far above the quality you would expect from a 'pub'. It's on a par with the very highest end of dining in Nottingham and perhaps a later area too.
Great food, great service. Staff very friendly, spoke as soon as we went in. Will definitely go again next time I'm off work at week end.superb food
The food was delicious and the service was helpful and friendly. There was a very welcoming atmosphere. We really enjoyed our meal and will return.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed an excellent meal with first class service. The guest beer was an added bonus. The new decor is a significant improvement.
Great Sunday lunch, well cooked and tasty. Great to go to a pub that allows dogs. A local village pub with good food, and atmosphere.
It was Brilliant food including a Gluten Free menu and a great atmosphere, sitting near the cosy wood burning stove. Never had a disappointing meal here.
Amazing place, great food, and superb staff as always. The Four Bells Inn is a great pub and recommend to everyone to go and enjoy this really good pub.
Excellent servi.ce, friendly people, food was amazing. Craig and his team really understand how a gastro pub should be run. It was the first time I have been since it has been renovated, they have done an amazing job. Well done.
A really good family birthday lunch. Although two of a party were twenty minutes late, the staff told us it was ok, but there could be a delay as the next sitting would be arriving. This didn't cause us any problem. Good that we were told, but in the event, there was no delay at all. A free bottle of Rioja, as existing customers with a birthday booking, went down very well. Thanks for a lovely lunch. Slight delay between main and dessert courses, but certainly didn't spoil the experience
The menu is interesting and the food well cooked. The landlord is welcoming . The pub has just been refurbished and the decor is lovely. Really enjoyed it.
Very well presented, friendly staff, food was really good, not quite as good as it sounded on the menu but still very nice! We will definitely be back!!
Food was quite good, high end cost for pub food. Service was very friendly and efficient, but pub was quite cold inside. Disappointing interior decor which doesn't reflect the characterful exterior.
