An excellent family meal in the restaurant side of this beautiful, gastro pub. Service was superb, as was the food. Staff were attentive without being in your face, which is always a plus point. Would heartily recommend it.
The Four Bells is always good, great food and service with a really nice atmosphere. We took out 1 year old for a meal and the staff were very helpful and accomodating.
This is a lovely village pub with a homely atmosphere. We had very good food and pleasant staff who were attentive and looked after us well.
Great ambience and super food. The service was excellent. If I had a criticism it would be no fish on the menu the evening we were there.
We visited on a Sunday Lunch. Booking process online was easy. We seated straight away even though the pub was very busy . The food was excellent however one of the specials my husband chose had sold out at 1.30. We will visit again to try the full menu.
In spite of the shocking weather we decided to make the 10 mile round trip for a pre booked birthday mussel meal. The bar was crowded and a little noisy and we were directed to a table for two in the doorway to the kitchen and not far from the bar. We thought the other more desirable tables would soon fill up but they didn't. Mussels and drinks fine, a better positioned dining table would have improved the experience. Will request a specific table next time and see if that works. Rick
Very efficient service and really flexible with dogs too. The house wines were good and the fish in batter and burger plus the excellent chips were top rate. We will be back to try the pie or fish stew options soon. Thanks to all the team there.
Like sunday every pub. Meat cold. Wr asked for no carrots and more green veg. Didn't happen. Very average. Could be improved on. Just a little more thought
A very nice and relaxing village pub which always offers good quality food and good service. There is also a nice selection of local ales.
Went last night for food and wasn't disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious! In fact it was the best rump steak I've ever had. Good portion size too. The pub itself is really cosy and the staff are friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning.
always our favorite place for a special occasion. birthday party.
Had a wonderful Sunday roast, everything was cooked to perfection. Nice glass of house red and white to go with it . Staff where friendly. Will definitely go again
Excellent atmosphere service and quality of food and drink. Highly reccomend definitely return! The fish and chips are a must have and not to miss
It was a busy Sunday so a delay could be expected. But food took over an hour to arrive. Lovely when it came. Nice atmosphere
Staff where friendly but sat near drafts door, main course was tough and lamb starter was dry, they did give us desserts for free though. Would go back and give it another chance
Fab meal at this lovely village pub. Great service very friendly staff. Excellent food with lots of choice on the menu. Will be back again to this very welcoming pub.
Food great as always. The staff are always very helpful and friendly.
very good food, local sourced and very tasty. Service was very good and friendly too. Log fire burning in background- hits the right points - excellent value too
Went for a birthday celebration. The service was very good and an excellent menu. Food was tasty and children's food was a good portion size.
Good venue with very nice food, the menu is not to large with daily specials on the wall board. Would have scored higher but it was a quiet evening and the toilets were in progress of being renovated.
Excellent food and value for money in a pleasant atmospheric sphere. The service was friendly and prompt! I’d recommend this for a lunch time or evening meal. Plenty of parking and child friendly place.
Place was nice, service was acceptable but not professional. Food was however lovely and I’d recommend anyone to eat here. The setting, people and food were all good.
Booked a table for 6pm on a Sunday. We ordered our drinks and were shown to the table. Onlt at the point of our order being taken were we told that all the roast dinners were all gone and that they only had burgers and fish and chips left. We specifically wanted a roast dinner, which is not an unusual request for a Sunday. This should have been made clear to us before we ordered our drinks and sat down. As it was we had fresh drinks and no reason to be there. So we paid for drinks we didn't now want, left and went to find another pub. Its a Sunday, with 4 hours until closing. I don't care how busy you were there is NO EXCUSE for running out of roast dinners on a Sunday. Its just bad planning. And next time, tell the customer at the point they arrive, not after they've bought drinks and are placing their order.
Well worth the drive out to Woodborough for Sunday lunch. Excellent surroundings, service and food. We will be visiting again soon and would highly recommend The Four Bells.
Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, delicious food. Thank you.
Great food and atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. A great selection of starter and main course and a good choice of wine and beers
Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere and dog friendly pub. It's my first choice when eating out. Good vegetarian options and very accommodating. Will adapt the menu to meet your requirements.
As always, a lovely meal. We love the fish and chips. Very fresh fish. Lovely staff to. Will be returning again very soon. Thank you.
Brilliant meal. Great service and fantastic food. It’s such a lovely pub and I would go back again. The fish and chips was perfect, the rest of the menu looked tasty too. Ten out of ten.
Disappointing overall. Lunch menu was not as stated on web site (apparently "not updated since start of New Year"). Food ok. Lack of ambience. Cramped seating. Gents toilets, although very clean, needing repair around sink area. Quite poor.
Four Bells is a superb village pub serving quality food from well sourced providers It is family and dog friendly a great hub to a lovely village
Little slow on coming to take initial order Forgot to bring dessert menu and we had to go in the end without having pudding 😚
The variety on the menu is the best around. This is a chef who really understands flavours and has flare and imagination. There is something for everyone.
Booked a party of 9, but only 5 turned up, but it ended up being a perfect day. lovely food, lovely atmosphere. Very relaxed and friendly.
Food was excellent- tasty tender beef, crispy Yorkshire puds, relaxed, un-fussy atmosphere, though a bit noisy because the pub was very busy. Didn't need music playing and the TV on at the same time!
The Four Bells Inn has a friendly atmosphere, good value, good food. It is pet friendly, which is an important factor for us. Helpful staff.
Nice but average food. Nothing special unfortunately. The Service was slow at times. We wil probably go back but not in a rush. Nice atmosphere
Excellent food, great atmosphere, wonderful service. A great local pub which, though it can be busy, welcomes everyone. It is dog friendly too so bring your bitch - and your dog!
Friendly efficient service and great food in convivial surroundings. We visited at lunchtime and chose sandwiches, soft drinks and a portion of chips. All the food was fresh, nicely presented, perfectly cooked and tasty.
Lovely situation on the edge of Nottingham. Went there for treat with my wife and step-mother. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. The only negative was the length of time between ordering and food being served - nearly an hour.
Lovely meal as always service a bit slow but due to being busy and big groups. We didn't realise there was a christmas menu available to we will be making a return visit to try it. I'm also hoping my two faviourite puddings make a return to the menu :)
Reasonable food. Enjoyed what erwe both had. Of course we had our doggies with us. Fair value. Nice wzy to spend to spend an afternoon
Warm greeting. Drinks ordered and we were shown our table. The food was well presented, definitely a cut above and delicious. Will definitely go again!
Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food was very good and service was quick without being rushed. Would certainly visit again and recommend to friends and family.
The quality of the food was excellent, there was a good choice of beers. Staff are very helpful and service was excellent quick. Continues to be very family friendly too.
Managed to book a table at late notice, food was superb. Fish & Chips are delicious! Great pub!
Tasty food. Good service. Good choice of ales. Food arrived in a decent amount of time given how busy it was and that there were 10 of us. Only very small bit of feedback would be to let the customer know if you are out of a condiment (apple sauce and horseradish) that has been requested rather than wait to be asked and then reveal that was the case. Overall though a good experience!
Service slow. Food expensive for what it was and portion size. At leastthird of party nothappy with their order. Child's meal just 1 sausage and some mashed potato, no vegetables. Won't be going again.
Good food and pleasant atmosphere. Beer was a bit flat the men thought. Fish tasty and good sizes portions. Will definitely visit again in the near future.
Wonderful meal, smoked haddock special superb, venison and smoked bacon casserole also very much enjoyed. Happy warm atmosphere and very attentive waiting staff, can’t wait to go again.
