I am a frequent visitor to Fothergills always excellent value and good atmosphere. Staff very helpful

Great quality food but they've changed the menu quite a bit since COVID. The portions are smaller too. Can be a bit loud and overcrowded on weekends. Overall a good place to go.

Great! Good food, atmosphere and service. I will definitely eat here again. Try the Crabless Cake. It makes an excellent starter!

We sat outside in in the lovely sunshine against a backdrop of Nottingham Castle. I ordered our food on the app and it was very simple and easy to do, although I do miss talking to staff it is a good in these covid times. My rainbow 🌈 burger with chips was lovely as was my double gin and tonic and bierra moretti to start. The staff were super friendly and drinks and food was very prompt. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Good service with good selection of mains, drinks and desserts. Staff really friendly and approachable

Disappointing but understandable that several items missing from the menu so 1st choices not available. Food we had was lovely. Staff helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately the family did not have control of their young children so there was a lot of noise at times during the meal. I would recommend this restaurant and have been several times before -never disappointed.

No cauliflower cheese for the roast dinners was a bit disappointing but otherwise great

Beautiful food, very nicely presented, excellent service, lovely friendly calm atmosphere. A little on the expensive side, given VAT is only at 5%. Covid 19 rules in place and followed. Felt safe. Will be very happy to return and recommend to friends and family.

the starters were good... my fiance's main was good...mine wasnt..the "steak and real ale pie" had a crust that was like tarmac...i needed to keep adding the (luckily( supplied small jug of gravy to manage to cut it... we were asked if we would like dessert, which we declined but said we would like a coffee....to be told..."oh sorry...the machine has been cleaned out" which may have been almost acceptable , but the time was only 3 minutes past 9pm.!! restaurants keep saying how happy they are to have people returning...that is hardly the way to show it...i doubt we will bew returning.

I don’t carry my cards or anything of value into town - it didn’t say on the website that forhergills did not expect cash and it was card only ! We was out for my husbands birthday and for the first time since lockdown - and we was turned away at the door ! 😢

Service - Had a wait for some of our order , fries could have been warmer. Otherwise ok
