Lovely array of flavours. I am new to Mauritian food but everything was delicious and well cooked. The staff were very helpful with any questions about the dishes and gave us some of the history of the restaurant and the owner. A wonderful experience!

Food was great, atmosphere was lovely, we all enjoyed our food very much. Not the cheapest but accept if you want the best then there’s a price to pay.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and as the restaurant was quite quiet when they went the cook and waiter came and talked to us. The food was delicious, would recommend the chickpea fritter dishes (lovely in the curry and Rougaille). I also tried the mocktails which were delicious and well worth their price. Will definitely be coming back as the food is authentic and with many different styles and influences to try more dishes!

The food was out of this world. The best restaurant food we have had in years. Loved the personal touch of the owner and chef popping out to say hello and chat when able. Everyone should go and try this Mauritian cuisine.

The owners really seemed to care about making the meal a good experience.. and were very knowledgeable and informative about the food. They advised us about what would complement the main dishes we ordered. It was quite nice that there was no music, so the five of us could actually all converse comfortably. Hema, the chef came out from the kitchen to check all was well. Everything was cooked fresh to order and it was delicious. Will definitely go back there soon!

This was for a birthday party, and we ended up adding a couple of extra people which was happily sorted. We had a range of starters, the liver (for those who like it) was very well received. The snails were done very well (I tried on, very good). The potato fritters were well sized. I think of all the starters we were less keen on the Lamb samosa, but you can ask for extra spice which would be better. Everyone liked their mains, I had the goat curry (great, although I'm not keen on the fat), I went medium which suited me. Some of the others like more spice and went hot, which worked well for them. The chicken casserole was spicy and good. We found the rum list at the end of the night - great selection. The restaurant team were great - and very nice of the team to give us some birthday cake at the end of the night. Overall we all really liked this place, and are already planning our next visit - particularly for the seafood boil (2 days notice required).

A perfect evening. Amazing food! Lovely staff and a lovely environment. Real personal service and seriously tasty food all the way through to the final teas and puddings! Worth going slightly out of the centre to find something more special, more stylish and tastier with real warmth and heart!

What a lovely family run restaurant. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced and the staff were so lovely and interested in us and where we had come from. We would love to return next time we are in Reading.
