Overall we were very happy with our visit to the Ferry Boat but unfortunately my friend chicken was raw when it came out. We sent it back and the replacement was ok but obviously I had nearly finished my meal by the time hers came out. They waitress took the price of a coffee off the bill, I however thought that my friends meal should have been free. Otherwise we had a lovely lunch. Nicki

Three of us dined. What we had was laughably simple in a cheese baguette, a hot pork baguette, and a vegetarian chilli - but it was all really nice. The roast potatoes with the hot baguette were awesome, and the presentation was nice. Total price of £47 including a bottle of wine was very good.

We visited for a family dinner on Friday 19th July. We were greeted & seated promptly by a lovely waitress. It was tapas night & the food was delicious. The waitress was really friendly & made sure we had drinks throughout the evening & couldn’t of been more helpful. Time from order being taken to be served was quick, which was great as we had two young children with us. We have always loved coming to our village pub but tonight was really great. Thank you!

Couldn’t fault the quantity or quality of the food. Had to wait for the bill but that was probably because trade was busy and only three staff to do bar and food. All in all a very enjoyable lunch and we will definitely return.

Excellent meal as always. There were only 2 girls serving and also serving at the bar, but were very pleasant and not giving the impression of being rushed off their feet. The tables around us were full and noise levels were high, but at least people were enjoying themselves!

Nice pub, meals really good. Staff hard working but management had definitely got the staffing wrong tonight. Pub very busy but one male working behind the bar, two females working behind the bar, taking meal orders at the bar and in the restaurant, bringing the meals to the tables and clearing the plates etc. The restaurant had closed before we had ordered desserts. Service levels need to be in line with customer numbers. The two females workrate could not be faulted but struggled to keep up with the level of activity.

Had Sunday roast - Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese were burnt. The seasonal veg included carrots (3 tiny strips of carrot). Meat was good.

Returned after a brilliant experience in December but unfortunately was not a patch on the previous visit. Service was slow, one poor girl on her own was run off her feet. Food was adequate at best and some choices of ale and spirits not available. A little disappointing to be honest.

Very slow service, we waited over an hour from ordering our food to receiving it. We were asked if we needed any sauces and they never arrived! After being left a while with the menus we ordered the food only for the waiter to come back after 10 minutes to say one of the choices were no longer available the same happened with the desserts why weren’t we told before we ordered?

Great food, beer and people, exactly what a great village pub should be! Food is really well presented and tasted cracking. The team at the pub are really making this a great place for not only a meal but also just to grab a pint!

Great location, good food and reasonable prices. Nice and spacious. Olde worldly pub with a great range of dishes. Shared the seafood plate and had the ale & steak pie as a main. Both delicious.

An attractive and welcoming venue, we were met with a warm smile and shown to our table straight away. Orders were taken and drinks delivered and we settled in. The meals arrived in good time and happy to say well presented, hot and very tasty. The Staff were brilliant and professional and courteous at all times.

What I love about this pub is the simplicity of the menu, good food cooked beautiful. Not many pubs do liver and bacon and it's a favourite of mine that no-one else seems to like. Cooked to a high standard with most amazing gravy well done to the chef and also the service which was excellent again. Good value for money.
