Enoteca is not a restaurant. It is a tapas cafe with a very short menu. My experience was disappointing. Order of cheeses and salami sharing platter never turned up. Wine ordered, D'avola, turned out to be the same as I have at home, with a mark up of £ 400%. That's way too much. Won't be going there again.
Always superb. We keep coming back and have never once been disappointed. The small but perfectly formed menu changes regularly and each new dish is beautiful and tasty. The service is always with a smile.
Excellent service, extremely friendly staff and delicious food. Portions were small, but we went on a pasta tasting evening. Would like to see more options on the pasta tasting evenings, perhaps a mix of dishes to really show off the menu choices, would happily pay more for more food. I've been before on a normal evening and couldn't fault it. Lovely restaurant.
Good food. Good wine. Cheesecake was the best! Great value. Service was also great and perfect portion sizes . would definitely return again and recommend.
The food and service were both excellent. We’d heard to try the lamb cutlets and they didn’t disappoint but the meatballs and prawns were exceptional. Great little find, we’ll definitely be going back.
Went two nights in a row, first time with friends second time on my own. Both nights the food was spot on. Service is friendly and efficient without being over powering. Wine list was good and really reasonably priced
went with friends in a party of 3, was so good I'm going back on my own tonight
Great food and drink. Would go back. Went with a party of 4 for a family catch up. The meatballs were delicious. The only issues are, the menu is a little limited for a Tapas restaurant, also the desserts were just ok.
Excellent lunch - great selection of Italian small plates, and s short but select wine list allows for good matches. Service is friendly and efficient. Good location for Southampton's cultural quarter - only a short walk from theatres, galleries, and the railway station - definitely first choice for me when visiting the city.
Went with a friend, we had enjoyed the wine and dinner there. The food is very nice. The place has a friendly and cosy atmosphere, and attentive service.
Really really great food and Italian wine in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The torta rustica is totally amazing! Can't wait for my next visit. Thanks
A well run Enoteca, with a friendly and knowledgeable owner, where quality food & drink comes first. Staff, décor, menu variation, size and ethos all add up to my favourite place in the city.
Enoteca is the one place in this city that I can guarantee excellent food and wine - every time. Do go there! Charming host and a friendly vibe, you will not be disappointed.
Beautiful food, amazing flavours, very tasty. Helpful menu for special diets. Lovely owner. Will definitely go again. The beef steak with salsa verde and the arancini were amazing.
DElucious food. Attentive staff. Lovely evening. Would recommend a visit the steak was delicious and I even liked the chickens livers! So was the beetroot humous and the filo yumminess
Food very good and service excellent. We were there early before the theatre so nobody else there and lacking in atmosphere. Menu good but I do not think it is often changed and therefore would not want to go back frequently for the same food.
Excellent lunch - cheese taster platter with four good cheeses, including homemade ricotta with honey, plus focaccia; spinach, lemon and garlic arancini; griddled lamb cutlets; lentils - all beautifully cooked and presented. Followed by Vin Canto with cantuccini. Very good selection of wines by the glass, allowing good matches for each dish. Service friendly and efficient. Well-located for Southampton's 'Cultural Quarter' - Mayflower Theatre, City Art Gallery, new Nuffield City Theatre, and (soon to open - May 12 2018) Studio 144 gallery. Will definitely be back - and soon.
Doesn’t look much from the outside but very good food. Good service, nice atmosphere. Worth spending the money on as the food was amazing. Would happily go again.
Excellent food , excellent service, excellent wines, a lovely restaurant , and the staff are attentive but not intrusive and the food was superb . Recommend it to everyone
We had a delicious pre-theatre supper at Enoteca - a nice friendly ambience, with great service and delicious food and wine. We chose from the a la carte menu in the end and had a selection of tapas and then a delicious pudding.
Entrance is a bit rudimentary and they could be closer to the door when you come in. Food was a really good standard with only the deserts a disappointment. Lamb cutlets and the Antipasta was very good and the house wine was a good standard. Waitress was very polite, prompt and helpful.
Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, intimate setting and great service! Would definitely recommend! The lamb cutlets are not to be missed and the Arancini was divine!
Really enjoyed the evening, lovely food and great service. Effectively Italian tapas with good wine and a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely return in the future !
As per usual the food was excellent especially the lamb. The service and atmosphere was great and the price spot on inc 2 bottles of wine. Will certainley be back!
Enoteca is a nice cosy place that serves Italian tapas-style food. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is good. Perhaps a little pricey for the amount of food, but the quality is OK. Nice place for a drink with some nibbles. Cocktails are nice too.
Really lovely, freshly cooked food. We went vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. Very slightly on the pricey side but couldn't fault food or service.
Food was really nice. Only one waitress but service was still quick. Simple decor and relaxed atmosphere so we were happy to stay and chat (and order more food). Will be returning with friends
Lovely place ,the staff are helpful in chose ing the food and when the food arrives mmmm just fabulous a good choice of wine as well , deffo be back .
As delicious as usual. The menu changes regularly and the service is always friendly and not rushed
Always superb and this time was no exception. Keep going back.
Absolutely delicious! Not cheap but not too expensive and worth every penny. The ingredients are all really high quality and cooked to perfection. We would recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a lovely evening.
Great atmosphere, amazing food, and the owners are very welcoming and attentive! The lamb cutlets were THE best I've ever had, and the panna cotta was to die for!
Beautiful little restraunt with a really personal feel and amazing food. This hidden gem will always be one of our favourites and has a special place in our hearts forever.
The food was real good. Yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum yum. Good service too
Enoteca is without doubt one of the finest restaurants I’ve been to. It’s not just the food, it’s the whole ethos and atmosphere. Neil, I salute you.
The staff were super friendly and always smiling! The food was fantastic and the tapas dishes are worth every penny! The lamb cutlets were out of this world.
Very lovely lunch following a girls shopping trip to West Key. Fast efficient & friendly service, food & wine was excellent and I would go again.
Great food and atmosphere with attentive service. Would thoroughly recommend if you’re looking for a different take on your typical Italian menu. Nice cocktails too!
The service was very good and helpful but overall I felt the food was overpriced for what you got. As all of the tapas dishes are served at once some of them were only just warm by the time we came to eat them.
Booked this restaurant after seeing reviews online. It did not disappoint - great food - friendly attentive service - lamb cutlets and tiramisu delicious. Definitely recommend and will revisit next time we are in Southampton.
We had a lovely meal. Wanted to try a bit of everything, but were defeated by having eyes that were bigger than our bellies!! Very attentive staff. Great experience all round!
Lovely intimate restaurant, fabulous food. Best olives I've ever had! Lots of dishes as it's Tapas, the lamb cutlets were superb. Chocolate Fondant for the sweet was delicious.
Lovely food and really friendly service at a good price, helped us choose what to eat (and how much to order!) which was great. Nice atmosphere too.
A great find on our first trip to Southampton. The welcome is warm and the food tasty and made with care. Highly recommend a visit.
Very tasty. Tried on friend’s recommendation and no regrets. Highly recommend the lamb cutlets and the spicy arancini balls. Also save room for the deserts. Yum.
Very helpful and pleasant staff. The food is good, with a nice choice of dishes. We would recommend it for a nice evening out in the city.
Excellent food and excellent staff. Highly recommended! Pre-cruise meal in a strange city and thanks to TripAdvisor reviews we struck lucky. Just what we wanted. Don't hesitate to try it......you won't be disappointed.
Great food, good wine very reasonable price, would definitely recommend, will be back again when next in Southampton. Very helpful if you are not sure what you like to eat
Amazing. Lovely food. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back there soon. The tapas style of eating suits me so well so I really really would recommend
Visited it at lunchtime on August 16, 2017, to celebrate a friend's birthday. The restaurant was very quiet but the food and service were great.
