Eastern Eye Lichfield

Busy, lively (Saturday evening). Food very good with generous portion size. Service was pretty good considering how busy they were. This was our first visit. It won't be the last.

Great food and I mean great food. Really like the decor and the ambience. The staff are attentive and friendly. It is easily the best curry house for miles around.

Food was excellent, advice given on vegetarian options proved very worthwhile and tasty? Few minor niggles, if you order 8 poppodums between four people then you need more than a tablespoon of each chutney, we asked for more but it delayed things. Little slow on service but it was a busy night and it wasn't unacceptable really, everyone commented on real quality of the meals, good variety and a little different from usual. Will visit again. We moved home from somewhere with dozens of Indian restaurants, most of them excellent, so happy to see we have eastern eye in walking distance.

We went for my birthday it was Lovely food we had more than enough and the flavours were delicious. Really friendly and helpful staff we would deffo go back again

We booked a table for 7pm. Kept us waiting for 25 minutes before seating us in a rushed made up table in a gang way. Won't be coming back.

Best food in Lichfield. Been twice now with my partner and each visit has been flawless. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough the staff are extremely helpful and kind. The food is incredible. I have put that the noise was average which to me is perfect, it's not too loud and not too quiet.

I do love eastern eye and it is one of my favourite indians, but my last visit wasn't as good as previous. Our main currys took a while to come and my curry wasn't as good as previous.

A very enjoyable night out. Convivial atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Really appreciated the wide ranging menu that catered for both the vegetarians and vegans among us.

Beautiful!! We visited the Saturday after valentines day, we were late for our reservation and the staff found us a table straight away! The menu was amazing... So much choice and the food was great! We thoroughly enjoyed the night and definitely would recommend

Food excellent we had the goat curry it was delicious. The only criticism I have is the staff were a bit to quick to clear the table as soon as we put our cutlery down the plates were removed and they bought the bill without us asking for it.

Attentive staff who looked after very well and lovely food, decent clean toilets. We told them we were Ina rush to go to a concert and they made sure we left in plenty time, can't fault it.

An excellent New Years Eve meal at The Eastern Eye. The restaurant was very busy with a great atmosphere. Despite the amount of diners the still the chefs cooked amazing food.

We ate here on Wednesday 19th October and the restaurant was quite busy which shows it has a good reputation. On this evening we booked our table through Quandoo and the confirmation was received within in minutes so all good. At the restaurant when we arrived it was quiet but within 20 mins the place was very busy and the service and attention from the waiters suffered and we were left waiting for 30 minutes for starters and then what seemed an even longer time for our mains. The food was not up to the usual standard, starters were over done, mains were ok and sadly the best part of the meal was the naan bread we have come to expect better from this restaurant and I will seriously consider if this restaurant stays as our first choice in future.

Not impressed with service or quality of food, all dishes looked the same, with the same spices?? Very disappointed would not bother going to this restaurant again.

We had a good meal here spoilt slightly by the waiter spilling a pint of lager over my son. I know accidents happen but comping us two lemonades as an apology felt a little bit lacking. The food was fine, as good as any bog standard Indian restaurant.

Staff were extremely friendly, great food and great ambience. The staff had time to make the experience of the night even more memorable. The detail of giving out samples of a curry paste made it extra special. Would definitely come back.

Excellent food, good service, very friendly staff. Only (minor) negatives for us were the tables are very close together at the back of the restaurant, we may as well been sat with the couple next to us! And the soft drink prices are very expensive. Otherwise great restaurant!

Splendid curry - all our dishes were excellent, very tasty and nicely spiced. The service was good and there is a nice ambience which made our dinner all the more enjoyable.

Food was excellent and could not be faulted at all. We visited on a very busy Saturday night so it was rushed, quite noisy, and the otherwise friendly service was a bit slow.

Arrived to find table booked as requested.Greeted immediately by a member of staff and made to feel welcome. Restaurant very cleanly presented and inspite of being fairly busy our drinks order was taken immediately. The restaurant owner introduced us yo the menu and asked us hat type of good we liked and then created personal dishes for us. Food portions were generous and delicious beautifully served . Small criticism was that the pickle accompaniments were extremely small portions just a dessert spoon of each for 2 of us. Wine prices were reasonable too, not overpriced at all. This was our first visit and we will be returning, just wish I'd tried this restaurant before !

Fabulous food and service. Highly recommended. Booked at the last minute on a Saturday night. They were busy but that did not affect thd service received. Cannot wait to return.

On arrival we were met with a friendly Manager who showed us to our table. Drinks came. Dry quickly. We took our time looking over the extensive menu, which, has a comprehensive list of meals. Service was extremely good. Food was first class. A thoroughly nice experience.

We couldn't decide what to eat, but the helpful staff took our preferences, likes and dislikes, and chose dishes for us! Delicious curries came, just what we wanted!

Superb! Delicious food. Ordered 'off' the menu and were made two bespoke dishes. Meatiest king prawns ever! Great service. V friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be back! Thanks for a great meal.

Great place, great food, great service! I will go again. Had the lamb shank course which was succulent and tasty. Try it yourself sometime soon.

Booked for 7.. Told us we had to leave by 8 as they had overbooked.. Terrible service.. Staff coming to table every ten minutes asking if we had finished trying to rush us out. Won't be going back
