Nice service, nice atmosphere and very good honest Indian food
Many years ago I used to have the jeera chicken which they won an award for. Tried it this time it was a insipid colour that looked like karma without sauce and dried up chicken in small pieces. The vegetable biryani flavour was just salt. Never to return here again.
CIBO E AMBIENTE OTTIMI. DA PROVARE ASSOLUTAMENTE!! PERSONALE GENTILE E DISPONIBILE
Food is tasty and consistenly good. Keeping old recipes simple and serving with a friendly smile makes this neighbourhood restaurant a frequent stop for a curry.
Great dining experience. Wonderful food and quite reasonable prices also.
Excellent tastes from the Punjab served by a cheerful team in a pleasant atmosphere.
It's ok. Good dinner with some friends. Good menu choice
Easy to find. Very good and delicious food - would go again!
Used to the place for 20 years. Still as delicious and friendly as ever.
Delicious food and excellent service in this long standing and indispensable local restaurant.
We had 4 different dishes and all were outstanding. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had since the last time we were in London. We will probably eat there again and try 4 different dishes before we leave in a week. I would highly recommend this restaurant for an extensive menu and outstanding value.
Durbar is the best Indian in London. Such nice people giving great service and the food is always consistent and delicious.
The restaurant was more eager to sell alcohol than food.. As we did not order any alcohol, the body language of the staffs were showing negligence during the initial 30min
Food was great, ambient was quiet for a dinner for 2, so good experience
Even better than I remembered. Food was interesting and well prepared.
The best Indian food in London served by the loveliest people!
We are sitting in the restaurant right now, contemplating its awesomeness. There is virtually nothing I would rather be doing right now than being right here, in this moment. But alas, am I really here if I am writing a review on something I am supposed to be experiencing? Before I started writing I was speaking with my wife about how to move our stuff from across the world. Why do we need it? Life was so much happier without it (not without the surfboards, of course — but the rest, to hell with it). We want less stuff, more time. And yet we indulge the bourgeois distraction of paying for a meal that could have paid for a month of living in rural Indonesia. The hero’s journey ends with a coming back to educate the masses about the wisdom-booty acquired whilst out living in the world. Bullsh—, I say. Only fools and cowards come back. Somewhere out there are wise men and women eating grapes off each others’ abdomens and lighting a candle to dionysian existence. And here we are, contemplating what to say to faceless wretches somnambulating through life anasthetised by the comforts of so-called success. On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is an adventure on par with smoking opium with the Taliban or being chased off a sporting pitch by an angry horde or jumping into a blue abyss, Durbar was about a 0.25. But if you do not have that perspective, it’s probably a 9.8.
Really great Indian restaurant. The food is fantastic, the service pretty prompt, the portions sizes are decent and the price was very good. The samosas were tasty, the pilau rice was great, the naan okay and the Lorient Special Chicken, the speciality of Durbar, is one of the best Indian dishes I've ever eaten. I live nearby and will definitely return!
Wenn man in einem indischen oder pakistanischen Restaurant auf das Essen wartet, bekommt man normalerweise dünne Cracker mit 3 verschiedenen Chutneys. Nicht so gestern im Darbur!!
Delicious food all around, generous portions and reasonable prices. Attentive and friendly service. Definitely worth returning to over and over again, as this was the best Indian we've had in a long time.
Visiting London for a few days and hadn't had Indian in a while. This was as good as the best Indian restaurant we've ever encountered in the U.S. or U.K. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. We Loved it.
Fabulous! We absolutely loved the food! The staff was very friendly and reccomended dishes for us. We would absolutely go back! Thanks for a great dinner!
Amazing Food. Amazing service! Next time I visit London, a dinner at Durbar will definately be planned in again. Best Naan I ever had. Tom
