Fantastic food and service in opulent surroundings. The most exquisitely prepared food, with excellent advice regarding the menu. Every part of the experience is Highly recommended.

Booked for a table of four on a Saturday - The host was particularly good; attentive with a naturally manner that put us at ease straightaway. Just as important, the food was amazing!

Excellent experience! Food was very good indeed and the service was superb. Our party of six all ordered different meals but were all happy with our choices. The staff were very attentive, yet not intrusive and at no time did we feel rushed to vacate our table. A lovely evening at a lovely restaurant. We are looking forward to coming back.

Delicious meal cooked to a very high standard! The staff were really warm and friendly as usual. We can’t wait to go again very soon. They change their menus regularly so there is always something new to try!!

Great food as always when I visit this restaurant. Good atmosphere and mostly excellent service. Only downside was the length of time we waited for out main meals which was around 30-45 minutes. Would definitely go back again.

Absolutely loved this place. Conveniently located if you are staying in the Bay. Lovely shared starter plate and a real variety of things on the menu that made it so difficult to pick. We solved this by going again the next night!

Absolutely fantastic food, service, surroundings, loved it. Nice to be able to try more authentic dishes too, very knowledgable and helpful staff. Will certainly be returning soon.

Very slow service although food was tasty probably would not return as I am sure there are better places to try in and around Cardiff

Took my wife for a birthday meal. Great friendly service, great atmosphere and great food. We both love South Asian cuisine and opted for the Papadoms and Chutney tomaccpmpany our shared starter of the meat trio followed by our mains of Indonesian Massaman Curry and Myanmar Chet Tha Curry. As usual, we were not disappointed. Thank you all at the Duchess.

The staff at the Duchess of Delhi restaurant were attentive but unfortunately the food was so hot that we did not enjoy it. The ice cream was very disappointing and one should not order any because it was tasteless and so was the yoghurt.

Excellent quality food and attentive service but almost too attentive - attentive - mains were delivered before starters were finished (we weren't slow eating - she apologised for quick delivery) and literally as soon as mains were finished, plates were cleared and desserts were offered.

Fab food at a great price and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location was also perfectly situated. Would highly recommended to others.

The food here is always lovely, and they have a good variety of different curries from India, Malaysia and Indonesia. We had a seafood trio to share as a starter and lamb tikka and a prawn and mango curry for mains which was fab. Staff are always friendly.

What a friendly restaurant with lovely tasty Asian food although one member of our party thought their dish was very spicy maybe a mention on the menu about the spiciness of each dish would help people . We will definitely return

Went with three friends on a quiet Tuesday night. Warm and friendly service. Attentive waitress and we were well looked after. Food was fresh and tasty. Bit pricier than majority of Indian restaurants but worth paying a bit extra.

Another superb meal. Had the vegetarian trio special starter - an exquisite mixture of textures and taste. Mains were King prawns in a Tandoori Jhinga Samarkand - Grilled king prawns scented with ground pomegranate and spices coated with sweet Thai chili sauce. Served with seafood rice and fish curry sauce. Fish curry sauce was to die for -YUM! Prawns cooked to perfection . Need to go back soon for another fix.

An absolute nightmare. We reserved for 8pm for a dinner after proposal. We were the only guests in the restaurant, and after the dinner the reason was quite obvious. The waiter missed the plate what we ordered. The dish was not medium, altough the waiter said it is a medium level. The lamb was tough (in both dishes) what gives a tesco value feeling to the dishes. We ordered a Baby Octopus as a starter, what was interesting, and fun to try, but the main courses were useless. The inside of the restaurant is very nice, but we were the only guests in two consecutive evening (we checked the restaurant the day before the dinner) what is quite a shame. Extremely sorry that we chose this restaurant instead of the Viva Brazil restaurant.

Fabulous experience as always. Thoroughly recommend. It's the best Indian Restaurant in Cardiff. Very high quality food and service. Go there with group of friends and wife regularly.

Fantastic food but reserved back in August and our table was upstairs with one large party . Downstairs seemed to have the Christmas atmosphere, thought booking in advance would have ensured a better table

Lovely divine cuisine! Staff lovely and welcoming ☺️ I reccomend the marinated chicken drumsticks with keema rice. Absolutely delicious, not too filling either portion wise, just right!

Food rating is 6. Overall rating is 4. Let own from being overall 6 by 2 things. 1. Because it wasn't 'busy' we had to eat in the bar, nothing like the pictures on website, which is what we used to pick restaurant. We wanted an Indian restaurant and got an Indian bar meal. Did have a look upstairs, where the restaurant is, and it looked lovely, shame we didn't eat there. We were told only really 'busy' enough at weekends to open restaurant upstairs. 2. We arrived same time as a large table of about a dozen. We were certainly not their priority and it felt a little like it!

Excellent food, good variety of Indian and other far eastern foods. Attentive service and reasonably priced, easy to find on Cardiff Bay. Would recommend highly.

Beautiful little restaurant with some gorgeous interior design. All the food was delicious, perfectly sized portions and a real range of dishes. The service was impeccable. Everyone there was very kind and attentive. Would definitely go back and I definitely recommend it.

Great table, food outstanding and explained fully regarding 'hotness', not rushed - great evening plenty to choose from on the extensive menu - well worth a visit, advisible to book in advance.

Have been before in March better then meal was nothing special not presented well just came in two bowls OK had better table was at window man behind me kept knocking my chair too close cramped staff were nice but probably go elsewhere small portions for price too

The restaurant was very clean and the staff welcoming and professional. The food was well presented and very tasty as expected. Although initially quiet for our 7.30 reservation the restaurant quickly filled out but the additional customers did not make the noise levels particularly noticeable.

Abusive staff, gave my vegetarian partner a chicken Korma then blamed her for incorrect order. Very sad as it previously have loved this restaurant and now feel like I can't go back there again

The staff are friendly, but the service was very very slow. The lamb was tough and my 'medium' spiced curry was eyewateringly hot. The duck dish was so bitter it was unpleasant to eat. Overall not one of their best nights.

Great service and surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful flavours with each dish containing something different unlike many other restaurants where all the curries taste the same! Best Indian I've ever had and will definitely be returning.
