Champagne Charlies

One of my favourite places to catch up with friends over lunch or a few drinks. The staff, and the Manager, Alex, are always very helpful and the food, wine and service all very good. Their private rooms are ideal for small gatherings.

Not for the first time I found the whole experience really good

Too loud for a remote room, but we were happy that there was a private table apart from the rest of the (noisy) restaurant.

I met relatives here over the Christmas period, superb food and drink and just the loveliest staff. I had a very enjoyable afternoon and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. Definitely 5 stars!

Met up with friends for our Annual Christmas ‘Do’ in a private room in a Davy’s Wine bar and once again enjoyed a great time with good food, fine wine and excellent company.

Been here a number of times. A hidden treat. Ideal for pre theatre food or for a quiet drink, yards away from the crowds of Trafalgar Sq.

Returning diner, because the service and atmosphere is always welcoming. Nice place to go right by Embankment Station.

Excellent service the staff are superb. Great selection of wines also available by the glass. The food was very tasty and the menu has a good choice. Will definitely be back.

As usual we received excellent service, with good food and an area to ourselves. Being Monday night, the ambient noise wasn't so bad this time. But all in all it's always a good experience. The waitress (are you allowed to call them that now?) was lovely. So welcoming and helpful.

Good atmosphere, service a bit slow but really tasty food!

A lovely restaurant in a very convenient location. The decor is very quirky and it is a great idea that larger tables are in smaller side rooms. There was a good choice on the menu of both drinks and food.

Very pleasant food ,and wine, efficient friendly waitress. Quite quiet in the restaurant I was expecting more people there . Will definately use it more often.

The service was brilliant and the food was lovely. We had the sirloin steak which was perfectly cooked and the heat was of high quality. Would definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Steak was excellent, service a real pleasure. One of the better meals I've had and have been eating there for year. Atmosphere nice. Wine tasty!

Always a great place to get straight forward well cooked food and drink. Even on a balmy Friday evening it wasn't crammed full of noisy crowds, so it was easy to talk round the table.

As always, superb food and superb service in a restaurant with bags of atmosphere. Friendly staff received my guests and seated them before I arrived and were attentive throughout the meal.

Very tired and dirty. Staff seemed stressed and busy even though the place was hardly full. I can't imagine bothering to go back. There are so many other alternatives in the area which would provide a better experience.

Was greeted straight away .Food was hot and enough, didn’t have to wait long for it to arrive, waitress was friendly and the restaurant was easy to find. Nice atmosphere.

CCs has had a refurb since I was last there, with the addition of 2 more private dining rooms in an under utilised space. We were allocated one of those, a lovely space. The menu is also refreshed, our only complaints were that we struggled to finish the generous portions. Service was friendly (maybe slightly slow, but we were in no hurry). This is a popular venue and its recent makeover was greatly needed and well received by us. The staff are without exception friendly and welcoming. This is my go-to venue for small party dining.

I have been a regular customer of Champagne Charlie's for over 25 years. I have always appreciated their ambience and service but was particularly impressed and extremely pleased on a recent trip to a) be put into a little private room with my party of six, and b) to receive some top notch service. And the food was delicious. Unusually from me, no complaints whatsoever. Well done, CC!
