Service was very slow almost to the point of being ignored and food was incredibly greasy and bland. Went here previously and had an amazing meal so not sure what has happened since.

The service was ok but not great. The starters were good but by main was just a pumpkin tart on a plate no salad, veg or potato. The dessert was described as a chocolate sharing player but there wasn’t any chocolate on it. In fact I don’t know how to describe what was on it but it wasn’t very nice.

First visit to Culley's. Slightly underwhelmed with the food although presented well on the plate it was not hot and to the high standard I was expecting which is commanded by the high end price. Staff lovely but quality of meal sadly not.

I had high expectations and I suppose I was a bit let down. The food quality varied from good to excellent and that shouldn't be the case as it appears they have a very good chef and they deserve more credit. Some of the starters were very small portions but what really let them down big time was the service which was patchy at best, painfully slow and all over the place. The place was less than a third full, yet it took ages for the drinks to arrive, the order to be taken and the food to be served. I think if the pay a bit more attention to some of the details of the overall customer experience, they will become a great place to dine.

It was a cold wet Tuesday night and the restaurant was empty apart from us. It was rather on the cool side and lacking atmosphere because of the lack of people. The premises are spectacular and I will certainly revisit.

We booked for Valentines day and apart from the greeter being friendly, we were very disappointed. The waiter was friendly but took a long time before taking our order, did not offer us any sides and brought the wrong wine. As it was Valentines day and clearly busy, we did not want to cause a fuss and the wine that was brought was satisfactory. However, the Calamari sharer we ordered came on a platter and we had to ask for plates. The food was undercooked and left my partner feeling quite ill afterwards. The mains were ok but a little pricey for what they were. My dessert was fine but some of my partners chocolate mini desserts were so hard that they were inedible! I am not sure whether it was due to us ordering from the a la carte menu when the valentines menu was on, maybe the chef was focussing on that menu more, but it was not sufficient for a £95 bill.

Tasty food and very good service. Portions were not good enough and the menu could do with some work. Deserts were not appealing at all.

The heating seemed to be a bit unreliable but the rooms had been individually decorated and the building had lots of charm. We had Sunday lunch in the dining room which was very nice and we look forward to staying again next time we visit Cardiff.

Beautifully restored restaurant! Service a bit slow, it wasn’t busy and lots of staff but slow to take drinks order and bring the wrong drinks. Food very tasty but not that hot. The restaurant is stunning but freezing cold. Kept my coat on during lunch.

Great food and service, Shame about the heating, most guests wearing their coats! Food was excellent and we had extra veg for free! I had a mini dessert with a pot of tea, the desserts really are mini! My friend had a very small slice of barabrith cake with did not even fill an egg cup!
