Really enjoyed it. I expect the chef to be Michelin star as the quality was superb
We had a very enjoyable meal at Culleys. We would highly recommend a visit. The food is delicious. We love the atmosphere, the staff are very polite and helpful. We will definitely visit again
Excellent in every respect and very reasonably priced. If ever we return to Cardiff we will definitely go there again
Really enjoyed the food and the service was great. Would also recommend the venue for parties.
Lovely evening with great service. Cocktails were fab. Food was delicious but portions somewhat small so value for money not great. Would definitely go back
Great staff and a great setting for a chilled afternoon tea
Very disappointed with the venue and the food. Won’t return
Amazing Sunday lunch. Food is delicious. Attentive service and such a beautiful setting. We were also treated to live music. Best Easter Sunday we could have!
Service was very slow almost to the point of being ignored and food was incredibly greasy and bland. Went here previously and had an amazing meal so not sure what has happened since.
Excellent food & atmosphere but slow service although was a busy day as we went for Easter Sunday
Beautiful Easter lunch. Food was perfect and plentiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is our second time having Sunday lunch here and will definitely be returning. Cannot fault the place 🙌🏻
The service was ok but not great. The starters were good but by main was just a pumpkin tart on a plate no salad, veg or potato. The dessert was described as a chocolate sharing player but there wasn’t any chocolate on it. In fact I don’t know how to describe what was on it but it wasn’t very nice.
Very nice experience dining at the new Culley's restaurant st the Exchange Hotel, Cardiff Bay. Nice choice of wines and good service too.
Gorgeous food. Friendly staff. Had a lovely evening. Would definitely go again.
Excellent food super service and very close to the millennium centre making it ideal for pre theatre Will definitely go back
Fantastic food, charming staff, sensational building, great wine, excellent prices
Beautiful building friendly staff the fish was great would definitely go sgain
Great place for a special occasion dinner. Great food and service.
Wonderful food! Definitely best food we have had in Wales so far. Creative menu. Slightly slow service but cheerful.
First visit to Culley's. Slightly underwhelmed with the food although presented well on the plate it was not hot and to the high standard I was expecting which is commanded by the high end price. Staff lovely but quality of meal sadly not.
Great service followed by great food. The atmosphere and music made the experience 10/10.
Menu and food excellent but the staff really make it. Efficient, friendly and helpful.
Food amazing. bar staff superb. Evening meal brilliant and scotch eggs Devine. Breakfast wonderful
I had high expectations and I suppose I was a bit let down. The food quality varied from good to excellent and that shouldn't be the case as it appears they have a very good chef and they deserve more credit. Some of the starters were very small portions but what really let them down big time was the service which was patchy at best, painfully slow and all over the place. The place was less than a third full, yet it took ages for the drinks to arrive, the order to be taken and the food to be served. I think if the pay a bit more attention to some of the details of the overall customer experience, they will become a great place to dine.
menu not especially to our tastes and a little expensive
Food and service very good but the room was a bit cold
Wonderful decor, very attentive staff & fabulous choice of food
Excellent setting for a meal with the building having a lot of history
Fantastic family Sunday lunch, great food, ambience and service. Recommended
Gorgeous food and wonderful staff who made my birthday meal with friends very special.
It was a cold wet Tuesday night and the restaurant was empty apart from us. It was rather on the cool side and lacking atmosphere because of the lack of people. The premises are spectacular and I will certainly revisit.
The whole experience was first class. The service, food and surroundings were first rate. Looking forward to the next visit.
The food was delicious & well presented. The staff were attentive & helpful, a great atmosphere.
This was our second visit for Sunday lunch and as on our previous visit food superb an excellent range of wines. The sevice is first class with all members of staff friendly and knowledgeable
Lovely venue, great customer service from the staff, nothing too much trouble and the food was delicious, plenty of it and all served in a timely manner even though the place was busy
Food and service was excellent. Loved the ambience and the restaurant was lovely and warm. Music was slghtly loud for us as we could not hear the conversation on the other side of the roud table.
Wow!!! I've longed to visit Culley's for a long time & it didn't disappoint at all. The service, the food, everything was fantastic & I will 10p% recommend to family & friends 😁
We booked for Valentines day and apart from the greeter being friendly, we were very disappointed. The waiter was friendly but took a long time before taking our order, did not offer us any sides and brought the wrong wine. As it was Valentines day and clearly busy, we did not want to cause a fuss and the wine that was brought was satisfactory. However, the Calamari sharer we ordered came on a platter and we had to ask for plates. The food was undercooked and left my partner feeling quite ill afterwards. The mains were ok but a little pricey for what they were. My dessert was fine but some of my partners chocolate mini desserts were so hard that they were inedible! I am not sure whether it was due to us ordering from the a la carte menu when the valentines menu was on, maybe the chef was focussing on that menu more, but it was not sufficient for a £95 bill.
Tasty food and very good service. Portions were not good enough and the menu could do with some work. Deserts were not appealing at all.
The heating seemed to be a bit unreliable but the rooms had been individually decorated and the building had lots of charm. We had Sunday lunch in the dining room which was very nice and we look forward to staying again next time we visit Cardiff.
Best Sunday lunch I’ve had in a long time. Excellent service and fantastic food in pleasant surroundings and the live music was a nice touch.
Beautifully restored restaurant! Service a bit slow, it wasn’t busy and lots of staff but slow to take drinks order and bring the wrong drinks. Food very tasty but not that hot. The restaurant is stunning but freezing cold. Kept my coat on during lunch.
Lovely mean and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the Sunday dinner. The live musician was a nice touch. Service was a little slow before we ordered but everything else was great.
Great food and service, Shame about the heating, most guests wearing their coats! Food was excellent and we had extra veg for free! I had a mini dessert with a pot of tea, the desserts really are mini! My friend had a very small slice of barabrith cake with did not even fill an egg cup!
Quite fantastic building and setting, excellent food, wine and service . Clara , our waitress, was brilliant and knowledgeable about the wine menu. Highly recommended
The food was very good and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Perhaps it could be more formal with tablecloths and staff more formally dressed
Lovely venue , lovely ambiance, fantastic food with great service not rushed at all . We ate in the afternoon because we were going to see a show but can’t wait for a return visit because everything was so nice .
Do not like the vermillion red decor but furnishings and light fittings lovely Burger very dry disappointing Starters excellent mains choice disappointing Excellent malbec wine
Fantastic atmosphere, but also a place you can actually talk to your companions! Gorgeous food, prosecco, wine and accommodating staff. Would definitely recommend a visit.
A lovely meal, cooked to a very high standard. This is the second time we have been and the meal was just as good as last time.
