Food excellent. Service very good on a busy day. Will certainly return to Cote Brasserie to confirm that other brances provide same level of food and service

We have been to Winchester Cote several times and always have a lovely meal there. The staff are very friendly and we never feel rushed.

We had some issues Wait for desserts Waiter trying to cover up a spoilage on a coat But the management sorted any problems out quickly and efficiently Would go again

We were served very quickly by very friendly staff and the food was excellent. The premises were well laid out and in a very good location, for the places we wanted to visit

Our mistake was to try and eat of the set menu available before 7.00 pm. Firstly we all arrived in good time 20 mins before the orders had to be in and then we were told they would have to check with the manager to see if it was okay, well call me old fashioned but if you offer a set menu until 7.00 then it should be available rather then having to negotiate its availability. Then they wanted us to order all our food including pudding before 7.00 pm, really what difference does a pudding order make, anyway only one of our party did this the rest of us just gave up, annoying as the meal wasn't that filling and I could have easily have enjoyed a pudding. There are so many restaurants in Winchester to choose from, so really don't need this hassle.

Brilliant food, great atmosphere, always a great selection on the menu and wine list. Friendly service but slightly slow but it was very busy. Will go back.

Gluten Free menu extensive and delicious. Friends breaded calamari was a bit heavy on the coating - so they didn't charge for it👍🏻 Good effort and would def recommend

As always, we had a wonderful experience at Cote, with delicious food and friendly, helpful staff. Also liked the location and the design of the restaurant, although the room was very warm at first!

Not the best welcome. Had to explain it was my wife’s birthday despite advising when the table was booked. Will, however, go again as the food is a good standard.

I had duck, which was good but didn't include vegetables. I ordered fine beans and they were undercooked. the top of my crème brulee was burnt, but I did not have time to complain as we were going to the theatre and a bit rushed.

Fantastic meal out, in a great location, the food was delicious and the staff had a great attitude. They were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble! Would definitely go back if visiting Winchester again!

Your staff were very helpful. They showed us to Table along a back wall upstairs & when one of us asked where the toilets were we were told we could use the disabled close by. This was very useful as we are all well into our 70s & had travelled at least 50 miles from Surrey, Dorset & Berkshire to meet in up in Winchester for a reunion. Everyone enjoyed their food which was well presented & delicious.

A great evening. Food lovely, service fine, and the whole experience as good as Cote always is, in whichever town. I know both the Winchester and Oxford branches, and always have a lovely time.

They were able to give is a table earlier and we all had a great meal there. Staff were, as usual, were very professional and helpful. We'll be back !!

One dish had to be returned because a salad came dressed after we had specifically asked for no dressing but the waitress was very apologetic and adjusted the bill considerably.

Excellent service, very busy but staff were polite, cheerful and prompt with delivering our order. Could not fault the food, cooked beautifully. Have visited twice and would certainly come again.

Great location at the top of the High Street. Our first visit with friends who had never been to Cote before - surprising! They - as we - were impressed with the food and wine (Picpoul) which always provides value for money. Good atmosphere as you would expect on a busy Saturday lunchtime. One of our friends really loved the Tuna steak, something that he finds overcooked at other venues that he has been to.

Very enjoyable lunch, good value for money and attentive service. The restaurant seating areas are nicely sectioned so feels quite intimate and perfect for small groups.

Had a very nice lunch time meal from the Christmas menu. The service was good and attentive. It is a favourite haunt of ours and we will be returning soon.

Food and service usual good standard but very disappointed to find the lunch menu increased by £8! We frequent Cotes for a reasonable lunch but it will no longer hold the same attraction!

Food was superb - shared the Cote de boeuf and had French onion soup. French onion soup wasn't thin and was a decent thick soup with a beautiful cheesy top, just like it should be! Cote de Boeuf was beautiful, only place had better has been in the French alps! service was friendly and funny and attentive so no complaints

Always happy to visit Cote and this was no exception. Great value for money, excellent friendly service and lovely food. Its position right in the centre of Winchester was perfect. I would have no hesitation in going again.

Poor service. We had to ask for water twice, the main courses and accompanying vegetables all arrived cold and we had to get fresh food cooked. We had already waited a long time for this course. This also wasted our time; we were here for a day out and We had to ask for sugar with the coffee twice. All in all a very disappointing experience. I regularly go to Cote restaurants in London, Bournemouth and Salisbury and this fell far short of my expectations. I will not be returning any time soon.

Cote Brasserie food is always great. We had the early evening menu deal which is an absolute bargain. Service was good too, although it took ages at the end for someone to take our payment! Will definitely be eating here again - too good value not to. Plus they have a good selection of gluten free foods.

Staff and service always of high standard without being overly present. Food is reliably good and well presented. Côtes have hit upon a sound formula , which is why we keep returning!

Food great as always, service with a smile. Took a big longer today but no issue was no in a rush. Be back vefy soon.

It would be better if guests could pour their own wine. The waitresses poured inconsistently from one bottle to a table of 8 leaving some guests with too much and some at the at the end with no wine and we had to tip wine from one glass to another which was not ideal. otherwise great evening

Lovely evening with great food and good service. Not too busy and noisy either - the advantage of a midweek meal. The smoked salmon starter was particularly good.

A pleasant and convenient restaurant where I can get gluten free food easily. It is very reassuring that it comes to the table bearing a gluten free flag, so I know that the kitchen staff have taken it seriously. Good value and wellserved food.

Good fixed price Menu, great choices available and well prepared dishes. Service was excellent and we had an enjoyable lunch with a nice bottle of wine. Would certainly recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

Had a beautiful lunch with my friend, service was excellent and food arrived in a timely manner. The seating arrangements were well spaced part and decor was tasteful. Would recommend. The steak was Devine and the eggs florentine, eggs benedict etc are reallllly mouth-wateringly beautiful !!
