Friendly service without being rushed - a most enjoyable lunch with friends with good food in all three courses that we enjoyed - would certainly recommend to others.

Slick service with an excellent variety of dishes to choose from. Good for larger parties or intimate evenings out. Would happily eat at Cote anytime.

A lovely evening, clearly a very busy service but we weren’t rushed and the food was delicious. The menu gave ample choice for our party of seven.

Have previously been to other Cotes restaurants, this was the worst so far for service with one meal forgotten and side order delivered cold to the table. Disappointing!!

Really pleased with the whole dining experience, as I was celebrating my birthday with my little sister. The table I requested online was spot on. Lovely bubbles and delicious food served by fabulous staff. I went there last week with work colleagues, again fabulous lunch, can’t fault the service. My favourite restaurant in Winchester!

Having been to Cote Winchester before 6-7 times I ordered my usual steak frites £2 extra from lunch menu I asked for it as rare as possible--the menu said it was served pink On arrival it was well done with no level of pink colour and the garlic butter normal in plentiful supply appeared absent --at least no garlic and little butter. The waiter was charming helpful great attitude and ordered a new one without hesitation 10/10 The next steak was rare to medium ---no complaint----but the absence of butter and garlic was noted---i did not mention to waiter but left disappointed ---please go back to how it used to be

Excellent ! From the moment we arrived until we made our departure the staff were so attentive .Very professional without being over the top,couldn’t do enough for us.Food wasn’t bad either !

Every Cote we go to and we have been to a good few here in the south the. Food is just exceptional steak to die for, all the food is the best. Also very dedicated staff.

We always enjoy our visits to Cote where the food is consistently good with a varied menu and the waiting staff are always so welcoming and friendly.

Excellent attentive service as soon as we sat down; enjoyed a free glass of kir royale each as it had been my birthday :-) Wonderful and interesting menu choice and reasonable price. We will return :-)

The staff are always welcoming, the food consistently good, and the menu changes monthly but with firm favourites remaining. We’re lucky to be able to go for an early dinner so haven’t tried in peak times.

The restaurant was very busy, but service was very efficient and the food good. Good choice from the set menu which is very good value. We will certainly return.

Lovely food and good service - I did not particularly like the table we were on though - stuck in a corner but then I should have asked to have been moved.

Service and food was good for the price. We sat at the back of the restaurant and it's a bit soulless - next time we'll ask for a table at the front

We booked ahead, and glad we did as the restaurant is very popular. Great service from all of the staff. Had a nice seat by the window in the bar area. Service was very prompt and the staff were very efficient and courteous. The was food delicious albeit slightly expensive (hence a score of 5 instead of 6). But we will revisit!.

We have come to expect excellent value and good service from Cote Brasserie in Winchester and we were not disappointed. Where else can you get a lunch menu with a choice of 7 starters and 7 main courses for £13.50? Another reason for choosing Cote is that they totally understand gluten free and are able to offer most of their dishes in that form.

Great service from start to finish with delicious food and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend for a work lunch meeting or nice meal out.

Classic brasserie food, tasty and reasonably priced. An omission from the order was quickly rectified and not charged for. We would certainly use this brasserie again.

All fine - chose from early dinner option - cod croquettes more potato than cod unfortunately - sea bass fine and good restaurant atmosphere - my colleague had the cauliflower soup and mushroom risotto and said it was good

We have never been disappointed at Cote Winchester. Food always good and also service We come here before we go to the Theatre Royal, it gets our evening off to a good start. Well done Cote

We enjoyed the food but found the staff unprofessional. They lacked basic people skills which verged on rude. They left us waiting a long time between courses, and practically tutted when we asked if our table could be cleared. I have been here before in Winchester and found the same thing, but in Exeter they couldn't be nicer staff. Need some customer service retraining.

Excellent early dinner from set menu. Good service, friendly staff. Good choice of foods and wine all at reasonable set price. We enjoyed very much.

Great service. Server was very knowledgeable about wine parings and we never feel rushed as they time each course perfectly. I always enjoy dinner here.

Had the vegetarian breakfast which was excellent, very filling and tasty. Companion had the French which he also enjoyed very much. Good service, nice atmosphere, great start to the day.

Here for brunch this time. We all had the full English breakfast (one gluten free). It was very tasty. We will if course be back.

The Front of House service was impeccable, particularly on a busy day. But because it was a busy day, it was clear the kitchen and waiting staff couldn't keep up. We had an extraordinarily long wait for our starters; the Camembert dish looked decidedly tired, but the soup was good although over-flavoured. Then another very, very long wait for our mains: the haddock was under-flavoured; the Steak Frite was very good; the mussels were average. I regret complaining, but your restaurant is not cheap; it aspires to something better than the norm in a city where restaurants seem to occupy every other building. You really have to do better when you consider the competition you have.

Although we had a problem with two of our meals, we were dealt with very professionally and everything was sorted to our satisfaction. Therefore we would rate their customer service very highly.

I’m a regular customer at Cote and can always guarantee the friendliness of the staff and always delicious food, especially the creme caramel. Well worth a visit.

Great service, great french food and good choice from the set menu or the a la carte. The confit duck was the best ever and my dessert of tarte de pomes finished the meal off perfectly.

Yes. Nice food. Some things off menu - due to it being Sunday. They know it will be busy so they need to think about stock. The Bernaise sauce was cold - they took off a price of glass of wine as compensation. Staff seemed quite rushed, hence they were pushed with customer contact time. Overall fair but a little disappointed. I would try it a second time perhaps at less peak periods.

Warm welcome as always. Service was a bit slow but not significantly. One of our meals was served cold which we asked to warmed-up. The meal was replaced and the charge removed from the bill. Excellent thank you

On the menu a good range of options. Helpful service. comfortable and pleasant atmosphere. Tables well spaced out for comfort. Long climb to toilets if limited mobility.
