Côte Winchester

Even though it was almost empty when I arrived, I was placed on a tiny table in the empty back restaurant. Presume I didn’t fit the ‘ladies that lunch’ vision they were trying to show at the front!

Although good food as normal. I was pushed to empty back portion stuffed into corner while there were plenty of tables available elsewhere. Don’t think I matched the ‘ladies that lunch’ vision they were trying to project at front of restaurant!

Perfect experience!! Wonderful food and service. All the staff were incredibly polite and helpful! We can't wait to come back again!! The food was incredible!!

The two brothers who work at Côte are fantastic. They make us laugh so much and work hard to offer a fantastic service. It makes the evening so much better

Very pleasant atmosphere and surroundings; extremely friendly staff. We had the set lunch menu which was extremely reasonably priced with a fair selection to choose from. Food was excellent and service was good. Altogether, a very good experience that was excellent value for money. Will be visiting again soon.

We were welcomed in, shown to our table and had chilled tap water brought to us while we waited for two of our party to join us. We had starters, mains and desserts and all were beautifully presented and delicious. Our waiters were very solicitous of our welfare. One of our party accidentally dropped a knife and it was replaced almost before it hit the floor! It’s not a ‘cheap and cheerful’ establishment but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and felt that our dining experience was worth every penny.

Excellent service - very helpful & friendly staff. Good menu choices, plenty of variety to cater for all dietary needs. Didn’t have to wait long for the food & we all thoroughly enjoyed our choices.

The food, the place, the service were all 5*. Couldn't have had a better experience. Would highly recommend and would go back in a heartbeat.

Good quality food at a reasonable price with good customer service and pleasant staff. We were provided with complementary Gin and Tonics which were lovely, the wine was also good.

Good service and excellent food. Had the breakfast menu of which there is a reasonable variety. Always a nice greeting when we attend and the atmosphere is relaxing.

We all enjoyed 2 courses from the lunch-time menu. The food was well presented and very tasty, particularly the berries with hot white chocolate sauce. Hope to be back very soon.

Excellent service. Staff very kind and friendly and come exactly when you need them. Food excellent and original. We find the total menu very appealing. Portions just right. We would like more soft furnishings to deaden the noise a little.

Easy appointment system. A mid week lunch with good ambience - but what really makes it a favourite to return to is the value for money, excellent lunch deal without any compromise on meals/food quality. Add to that super service by keen and cheerful staff, what more can you ask

Fast efficient and friendly service. The food was good value for money and made from fresh ingredients. Would recommend, particularly for a pre-theatre meal when time is important.

Cote Winchester is our local and the food, staff, service and value for money are always very good. I have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We were given a downstairs window seat as asked for. Food was all faultless as usual. Well done Côte, even my fussy son was impressed.

Great early evening meal at a very reasonable price with faultless service in a lovely old building with lots of character. We will be back.

Visited Edinburgh/Chichester/Winchester - all of equally good standard and with friendly and efficient staff in very pleasant surroundings. Good value for money from a varied menu.

An exceptionally good experience. Made to feel welcome. Lovely menu, interesting special cocktail that I really enjoyed. All in all the whole organisation worked together to make our meal a lovely experience. We will go there again when next in the area.

Fantastic restaurant, great ambience, good menu choice, excellent food and value for money, especially the set menus on weekdays. Really friendly staff, always helpful and happy to recommend wines or explain dishes on menu. Definitely a place to visit.

Chose the superior set menu. Good presentation and enjoyable food. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. We never felt rushed. A long time since our last visit, but don't think we will leave it so long next time.

Great food and great service . Warm welcome by the staff and very efficient.Dishes are well presented and very tasty . A good choice of wine by the glass . Price is reasonable.

The service and atmosphere were excellent but unfortunately my steak was undercooked. However, the manager put that right instantly and then all was fine and enjoyable.

The staff were excellent. The food and wine was good. The air conditioning was such a treat in the hot weather. A contrast to other restaurants in Winchester! We had a fun evening.

Friendly welcome. When we arrived it was very quiet but the team were great at being attentive but also letting us enjoy our evening. Food was absolutely delicious too. Great value for money.

Mediterranean food perfectly executed - hard to beat! I particularly liked the tuna Nicoise, cooked to perfection. Being a keen cook myself it is great to find a dish and think “would I have done it that well”?

Service and food were both excellent, as was the complementary gin and tonic. We all chose from the special menu but there was lots of temptations on offer on the main menu.

Wonderful evening , delightful staff , very helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble on such a hot evening . I can only give 5 not 6 as , although my tuna steak was very tasty , it was very thin and could not really be called steak ,it was more slice , I buy and cook tuna a lot and it was very thin . However it didn't spoil our over all meal as the peppers with it were delicious .

Lovely evening but I ordered more toast with my starter that did not arrive and had to remind about the drink that I ordered that was delicious

We went for our anniversary and loved the atmosphere, the staff were great and such good value.would definately recommend it and will definately go again. Soon i hope! 😄

Great food and service at a reasonable price. Just wish we had a Cote in Ipswich?! Went to the Bury St Edmunds restaurant last Friday and was equally impressed.

Nice food, nice atmosphere, nice people. The fixed price menu is just the ticket for a leisurely lunch. Well worth a visit if you are in Winchester.

We had a very enjoyable meal at Cote Winchester . The fixed price menu up to 7pm is good value and food well cooked.The service was very efficient.

Delicious meal. Very good, friendly service. Always enjoy our meal. The fillet steak was delicious as was the bottle of Fleurie that we had with it.

As usual the most wonderful Breton Stew. Even though the weather said salad, I couldn't resist it! Attention and staff delightful as always. Pity about the celebrating table for 10 but hey they had a good time!

Excellent, friendly service and good food, of course, with a wide choice. Wine reasonably priced for a smart restaurant. A happy place to eat, smart but not pretentious.

A delicious meal nicely served. What more can you ask for? A bit pricey but as we all enjoyed it we don't mind the cost.

Very good food and friendly service in a nice cool atmosphere. The restaurant is in a quieter part of the city and is never overcrowded at lunchtime. Very good choice of options on the set menus.

Had a wonderful meal with my family. I have eaten there before and it never lets me down. Service was superb and they even had air con which was so nice with our hot weather at the moment. We had a lovely evening.
