very attentive service food ok but don't think menu has changed that much in the 12 or so months i have been going and tables are quite close together making private chats difficult

Had excellent meal as on previous occasions. Treated friends who had never been to cote they were most impressed ,it reminded them of their visits to France

Cote never fails to impress. Delicious well presented food. Great service from staff. A warm welcome. Good value for money. Look forward to another visit soon.

Another good meal at Cote with attentive service from the table staff and a good range of menu choices. There was a good atmosphere on the evening we attended.

It was nice food and the staff were friendly and helpful. All round good experience. Very busy but that is good. Will recommend to friends. Love having breakfast there.

Sunday breakfast time and the restaurant was very busy. Both our meals arrived in good time and were of a high standard. Service was friendly and efficient.

As always, I enjoyed my lunch at Cote. I had the set menu - their creme caramel is a delight. Lovely place to meet with friends.

We have visited a number of Cote restaurants round the country and have enjoyed all so far. The standard of food is good and consistent, the staff are efficient and mostly cheerful, even when seriously overwhelmed as when we visited Cote in Covent Garden just before Christmas. We hope that as they grow more popular that they don't lose the essence of what make them enjoyable for us.

Very prompt service - food arrived very quickly. Starters excellent. I thought my friends main course of duck could have been warmer but it was delicious and she enjoyed it. I had ribeye steak - again delicious.

We have lunched/dined at Cote many times all over the country and invariably been well satisfied. On this occasion the minute steak was more like 10 minute steak I.e. over cooked,the restaurant was cold and one of the staff not very welcoming. This was probably a rare blip and we will be going to other Cote’s again but will probably give Winchester a miss! Tony Faulkner

I had an enjoyable lunch with two friends. The fish parmentier was delicious and the service was excellent. The standard remains consistent in the restaurant.

We eat at Cote regularly and went this time for my mums 80th birthday. The restaurant were very kind and let us park right outside and seated us close by so we could keep an eye out for traffic wardens. The waiter ( sorry I don’t know his name but he is Hungarian) was so kind with my mum. The food was tasty as always and very good value for money. Thanks again, you made us feel very special.

My friend and I really enjoyed our lunch at La Cote. The cauliflower soup was delicious and the sea bass and pork well cooked. The service was excellent and all the staff friendly and helpful . Well done and thank you

This Cote is situated in a wonderful spot near a historic gateway! The food was excellent.

Would have been 6, but it was a bit noisy upstairs. Otherwise it was excellent:food was good, service was good, and people were friendly friendly

Lovely evening , friendly helpful staff . Menu is good always plenty choice and it changes . Good wine list too . Better than many restaurants in town

We always enjoy dining at Cote in Winchester and on this occasion we were not disappointed. Staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient and our food was delicious.

It is always a pleasure to visit Cotes. The staff are very professional and happy to give their service. The blonde Manager is always accommodating. The menu is excellent value.

Arrived on time at the restaurant and was immediately escorted to our table. Good quality food. Very attentive staff and efficient service. Would definitely return if in Winchester again.

It was very busy as it was New Years Eve, but the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and polite, it all made for a lovely evening and a great start for the New Year.

Loved the food as usual. Thought it lacked the Christmas buzz it being the Sunday night before Christmas . A cracker or music would have added to the occasion. But that’s my opinion not a negative comment. Thanks

A busy early evening service, but we were well looked-after and the set menu offered good choice and value. The staff worked well as a team.

Cote is consistent across the UK and serves delicious food every time I visit. This time it was mussels and beef bourguinon. Excellent. Staff were celebrating Christmas but in a professional way......

Meeting up for Xmas get together, place not packed, but were asked to vacate our table as they had booked it for another group. We hadn’t even finished our coffee and was given 10 mins to vacate the table. Spoilt the evening

Ordered one of the Breakfast Formule which was very good value. This consisted of a cooked breakfast, glass of orange juice, two rounds of toast plus choice of three preserves and a hot drink of your choice. Food was of good quality and hot

We were very well accommodated particularly because we brought an unexpected pushchair. The food and drink were both excellent. We are very likely to return again.

Disappointed when we first arrived as had asked for a quiet alchove table at the back but were taken upstairs sat by 2 large parties. However the staff were very apologetic and attentive bringing us complimentary fizz and the meal was great. We stayed over 3 hours and enjoyed!

We had a lovely meal after our shopping trip to Winchester Christmas market. The menu has something for everyone at very reasonable prices. The front of house staff are very friendly knowledgeable and efficient and the mussels starter was cooked to perfection and the rest of the meal didn’t disappoint either!

We arrived very early for an early evening reservation, but were pleasantly surprised that the staff were able to accommodate us immediately for our meal for four. The restaurant was busy but not full at the time. Others soon afterwards did not have such luck. The meal, as always with any Cote, was tasty, nicely presented and good value. Some dishes or components of dishes were not as hot as we would have liked. The staff were particularly friendly and welcoming at Winchester's Cote.

Excellent food, good service in busy restaurant and complementary drink for my birthday - lovely. Want to try the new CB in Basingstoke next, Winchester and Reading both excellent.

We are never disappointed on the quality of food, the service and generally the value for money, that we receive when we visit Cote in Winchester. We go there regularly for a pre Theatre meal when attending productions at the Theatre Royal. We just hope they continue with the service they give, obviously they must have a strong management team, to maintain what they achieve, over many of the other restaurants !

Staff courteous and attentive. Food was well presented and very good. Space between tables was good also so did not feel on top of other people. Would be happy to return

Come back to Cote again and again as the food is fantastic & great value for money and the service is amazing. This visit didn’t disappoint!

All great here, a bit slow on delivery......staff attitude to customers was 100% positive experience. Situated at the top of the high street is worth the walk up the hill.

Despite being exceptionally busy on this pre-Christmas Saturday lunch time, the staff provided excellent service with a smile and the food was, as usual, first class.

as ever lovely Cote food - clearly its the time of year for slow service without apology and yet the service e charge is routinely added . there is a difference between giving diners time & ignoring them
