Service very good and friendly and professional. Food lovely. The only thing that made it short of exceptional was my partners steak was a little dry. Also still no dairy free desserts available, even some dairy free ice cream would have been good.

Great service, polite and discrete staff, very well prepared food, delivered on time, the table we wanted, what’s not to like ? We do dine at core here a lot, and it’s never disappointed us. I would highly recommend it to anyone for a romantic dinner !!❤️💋

The food was delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant was really lovely. The only reason it didn't get full stars was because my husband said he went to the toilet and they were really filthy. Which is a shame.

Aug 1st. I took a very good girlfriend out for her birthday treat and we had a meal from your new summer August menu. It was an absolute fabulous meal we both had the melon and ham starter I had the trout my friend had the chicken and the creme caramel 🤗 it was an absolutely beautiful meal thank you so very much the service was great and I got the table I had specially requested thank you Cote Winchester:). It was so fabulous I might actually take my partner there for lunch tomorrow:) There are so many restaurants to choose from in Winchester but Cote still holds its own as absolutely fully reliable and it deliver every time. Fabulous - fantastic waiter - Very attentive and responsive and kind without being intrusive. It was my birthday and the staff were great about us bringing a little cake and singing happy birthday. Food good and atmosphere easygoing, great attention to detail and unfussy customer care. Much better than the Ivy :)

Enjoyed a perfect ambient temperature on an extremely hot day for a delightful lunch with a friend. We were able to sit at a quiet table, where we could chat without noise. The manager and server were extremely helpful and the food arrived in a timely manner. Not rushed, no long waits. A very enjoyable lunch

Food was delicious! Great ambience, although v slightly noisy, as it was a busy lunch service and there’s not much soft furnishing to dampen sound. Staff were absolutely wonderful! Attentive and warm, both people who managed our table let us take our time so we had a lovely relaxed lunch. Highly recommend Cote and will be back. Fabulous customer service!

Had a lovely evening with my work colleagues. Very well looked after by Mihai and Lydia, thank you so much! Delicious food, loved the Breton tomatoes, and the grilled salmon. Beautifully cooked and presented and really tasty too. It was a very nice evening and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Food was very good but the restaurant was very noisy. We were in the top eating area and it was difficult to have a conversation without having to shout. If we go again and are offered a seat in the same location we would have to move on elsewhere.

Not as good as it used to be, a change in, management, waiting and kitchen staff maybe? Order was not accurately taken although errors were corrected quickly.

Very good meal. Service, however, was uncharacteristicly a bit slow. But overall a good experience.

Service was good. Food was bland , chose the duck which was chewy. Puddings was described as a Pavlova but we had to hunt for the fruit and meringue, mostly cream. Meal overall was alright but didn't feel it was worth the money spent. Not impressed with the G&T.

Pretty good but not keen on the inclusion of an optional gratuity in the bill!!! Food brilliant. Acoustics not great.

Great meal and nothing was too much trouble for our very affable waiter. A drink mishap was very quickly rectified. The food is always delicious and so too the wine! I love eating here with friends .

As a regular user of several Cote brasseries, in contrast to the norm, I find the quality of service quite variable in Winchester. Sometimes it is excellent, other times it is lacking. The food on this occasion was fine, but I was quite annoyed to order a dessert for my partner and a coffee for myself only to sit without my coffee while she eat hers. After she had finished her dessert, the person who took our order was reminded that we had ordered a coffee, only to then proceed to go upstairs, coming down a few minutes later. Eventually I only got my coffee when we had to ask the man who was front of house. This is a small thing in an otherwise fine meal, but as anyone in customer relations will tell you good service is in the detail. I should have refused the 'optional' gratuity on the bill, but why should the kitchen staff lose out because of poor service in the restaurant? I gather a lot of staff are moving to Basingstoke. Hopefully this will result in an improvement, but I'm not in any hurry to return to Cote Winchester.

The food and service was, as always, excellent. They managed to accommodate five of us on a Friday night, even though we had only booked for four.

Food was absolutely fantastic, as always. Always my go to place.

Normally love this restaurant. However this time we were kept waiting a long time as they were busy. Then 3 of our 4 party had pork belly, the pork was cooked, however the top was soggy, no crisp at all. We pointed this out to our waiter, he said it was probably because we put it in our gravy, which we hadn't. Disappointed on this occasion

We booked a family meal on Sunday night. we were delayed in our arrival but the staff were very understanding. The service was very good and the waiter was very attentive

A difficult night handled well. Our table was booked for 7.30, but it was 9.00 before we got our main course, waiting nearly 30 minutes before our order was taken and also 45 minutes between starter and main. Then the main meals were not hot. Although the food was of good standard. There were not enough staff for what was a busy Saturday night. However the head waiter was extremely apologetic, and adjusted the bill as a gesture of goodwill.

Our food was faultless but we did seem to wait a little longer than usual. It was a warm evening but the air conditioning where we ate upstairs was too cool for real comfort and as soon as we came downstairs to leave the temperature felt much more enjoyable.

Lunch on Friday 12th July. Lovely long lunch with a friend at Cote Winchester. Greeted with a smiley face and given a choice of tables. Staff very attentive and helpful. Food wonderful. We are planning a return trip!

We were made to feel very looked after from the second we walked through the door. Excellent service and delicious food. We were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary and the staff, food and drink made it a lovely lunch. Lovely venue too with nice ambience.

It’s always pleasure to visit Cote. The food is very good value and the service is friendly and efficient. We return again and again never to be disappointed.

Lovely that a member of staff called before to check the reservation and talk through the evening. The service prior to the visit was great! And fab food! Very accommodating for disabled access too! Only 2 minor faults: 1. The table/s chosen to seat 17 guests wasn’t ideal. We were spread across 2 booths and an additional table. 2. One guest’s dessert was forgotten and served once everyone else had finished
