Great service, attentive yet not intrusive. Mouthwatering menu, very difficult to choose! Asked for a different table we were given a lovely table in the corner, perfect!

I booked an early Saturday evening meal for myself and 7 friends before we went to a comedy night in Winchester. We had a beautiful table in a bay window; our server was really cheerful and helpful (sorry I can't remember the young lady's name); food was delicious; wine was great; and all our food arrived at the same time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will definitely be returning when we next go to a show in Winchester.

great food served in good time. But really, you soooo need to improve your gin and tonic presentation. a school tumbler, three chunks of ice and ‘here’s your tonic’ in a schweppes bottle. Not good and something you could get at a travel lodge! No nice glass, no pile of lump and crush ice, no lemon lime or cucumber, no paper straw to drink or stir. improve the g&t’s and we’ll be back!

We had a great evening. Staff were good and the food was fantastic. Very fairly priced for such quality food. Will certainly be returning and highly recommend to anyone.

A very pleasant experience at lunch time. The first course of mushrooms on brioche was rather cool, so maybe it was left waiting somewhere. The steak and frites were very good, however the steak was billed as being as pink, but it was well done. The ambience was friendly, and the overall experience would make me try it again.

We were a large group divided into seperate tables (by choice!). The service was excellent and the food delicious. A perfect meal. Thank you in particular to the one young waiter who did not rest for a moment ensuring everyone had what they needed.

My group of 4 Theatre Royal enthusiasts just love a meal at Cote before going to the theatre, and Cote have never disappointed on quality, service and value and our young waiter as usual was a delight to be served by.

Probably the worst, overcooked moules I have had. The frites were ok though!

Good service. 3 of us had mains, they arrived in good time. I had a medium-rare sirloin steak, was very tasty and cooked as ordered. The waiting staff were attentive but not intrusive. The sides are fairly pricey in my opinion, about £3 for a small side of green beans. A 12.5% tip was added to the bill. I prefer when this isn’t added automatically but because the food and service were good, was happy to pay.

Great food - especially the sauces. Steak was smaller than expected but everything was extremely tasty. Highly recommended and will definitely return!

The main courses were cold!!! Also cheeky putting a 12.5% service charge on, customers should be able to choose what service charge they would like to pay.

We had a lovely evening, the service was very good even though they were busy. Great fillet steak , with a good wine selection.

Cote is always excellent in our home town of St Albans and the Winchester branch certainly didn’t disappoint! High standards or both food and service.

Really good lunch, attentive service and delicious food. My daughter has Coeliac Disease, we informed our waiter and she was given a Gluten Free menu which was extensive. Her orders came with GF flags on which is incredibly reassuring, no chance of a muddle. All in all a very good experience and we will definitely return.

Waiting staff are amazing and food is excellent as always. Steak was not medium to well done but it was delicious and I’m not fussy about how it’s done unless it’s still mooing!! The only issue was that our table was next to the most pompous, loud and obnoxious couple I have ever had the displeasure of listening to as they seemed to think that we would be sooooo interested in her new car, Arabella’s weekender on Lord Denning’s estate and how she was lunching with her friends! Maybe space the tables out a little more! I was so impressed with the patience of your staff when he questioned his piece of steak (was it sirloin or ribeye?) as if it made a massive difference to his set menu dining experience! 😂 Apart from that we had a lovely meal!

As always we always enjoyed our experience at Cote. Service and food lovely. Maybe the chicken breast could of been slightly moister.

celeriac and potato soup could have done with less potato and more celeriac, but the food was still very nice and the set menu was good.

Nice lunch. Good service. Always consistent. I don't like the service charge added to the bill. I know I can ask for it to be removed.

Nice food but quite small portions, so you have to buy more courses, therefore not good value for money.

Good location on High Street and a great place to meet for lunch. Excellent food and unhurried, but professional service. First class set menu with good range of choices. Food was noticeably superior to other, similar restaurants. Happily, Cote do not over-do the garlic. Good selection of wines. Hard surfaces make for high noise levels and some difficulty in conversation, but that's common to all modern establishments. Meeting old friends, we were pleased to have chosen Cote and enjoyed an excellent, leisurely lunch. Thank you.

Very cheerful and thoughtful staff and manager, and excellent food. Not all Côte are the same - all are good and reliable; this one is especially pleasant and well organised and the food is especially good.

We had an excellent meal with friends with good service.

As always first class - lovely tasty food to choose from on the set menu. The price is good as well. Service excellent - cannot fault the restaurant.
