Friendly staff. Lovely food,reasonably priced , nice atmosphere , nice and clean

I love this restaurant, and it never fails to deliver. Our waitress was great; efficient and friendly. There seems to be a change of management though and the overall experience was less friendly and warm than I had come to expect here

Table 60 is stunning.. The children so enjoyed looking down the road and spotting the lady with the yellow hat and the man with the red coat. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy and the food very goodl THANK YOU

My first visit to a Cote for a Saturday lunch and this is a nice venue in Winchester. We were seated upstairs where a few others were dining. I’m not sure if it’s the design of the place or that we were just unlucky but we had a table not even near us who were very loud and got louder when the second bottle of red was ordered so in all it didn’t feel a very relaxing ambience. The food was delicious. We both just had mains which cost around £15 each. I wouldn’t say I was totally full up afterwards but it was very tasty. My friend had a fish dish and found something odd in her mouth at one point. When the server took our plates this was pointed out as we were sure if it was a bone (& a sizeable bone at that) or a piece of plastic. We asked her to mention it to the chef and expected that she’d report back to us with the findings or an apology but she did neither. When we paid our bill we asked her what the chef had said and she told us he’d said it was a bone but even so, it would’ve been good if she’d updated us as we had made a point of it. I think unfortunately the server’s age was against her because she’d clearly been trained in how to serve a table and be polite and say the right thing but maybe didn’t know what she should’ve done in the situation. Overall I don’t think I’d rush back to Cote given the food prices and the fact that 2 hours later I was hungry again.

Lovely early evening meal with work colleagues. Attentive service and not rushed to leave. Ate from early evening menu which generally excellent - only criticism was the ling cod was overcooked.

What a lovely evening at Cote. We were beautifully looked after throughout with an amazing young waiter who remembered our very complex order without writing any of it down. All the staff were very friendly. The food was utterly delicious.. I've had the Steak Tartare every time I go there but tonight it was the best ever with a really tasty zing to it. I was most appreciative that they were prepared to change the ingredients of the salad to accommodate my taste. Thank you.

Not as good as usual the pissaldiere with Camembert was rather dried up but main problem was the horrendous noise level I had asked for a quiet table! Chicken very nice also the chocolate pot and house wine. Our waiter was very helpful . It was lovely after a few diners left. In future if we return I will ask for a window table.

Lovely late lunch. Had a window table which we always enjoy. I Went for the special - Gravlax salmon, rump of lamb.. side of winter riot veg which was delicious. My husband had an equally good meal, french onion soup, fillet steak, and specials plumb tart with cinnamon ice cream, which was Devine! Overall, fabulous

A smashing celebratory breakfast with friends for their anniversary. Plenty of hot food, well cooked and tea a plenty. Staff attentive and efficient. Cosy and Comfortable surroundings On this cold day.

This is the 3rd time eating at the restaurant and I was hoping that for once I would actually be served with what I wanted from the SAID Menu oh but no why at 7:45 could 3 of us not have the Spinach and Mushroom crepes? My friends dish of duck had to be returned as it was cold and yes we did get a discount for this, the place was clearly under-staffed as it took 20 minutes to even get our first drink. Really so disappointed yet again.

Great service good quality - disappointed no steak frites or fish pie but what we had was good. Cassoulet could have done with longer cooking - beans quite firm and duck a little chewy.

We live near Ringwood but chose here to meet friends from Reading. Breakfast was great and the staff very helpful.

We are regular visitors to Cote Winchester, and they never fail to please, we took new friends on this visit, and they were so impressed with the quality of food, service and value for money, they cannot wait to return to Cote again. So once again well done Cote Winchester.

We had a really nice waiter who was really friendly! All the staff were excellent at the service they gave, and thank you to the man who opened the door to us on our exit.

Cold day and lovely warm welcome as usual. Food was beautifully freshly cooked and they showed me with a list of ingredients for a sauce to check against intolerances. Extremely helpful. Great meal as usual
