A pleasant midweek breakfast - good service. Poached eggs and bacon a little overdone.

Straightforward booking process with friendly, warm welcome, excellent service and food. Represents good value

Disappointed today arrived at 2pm , to find our first choice Cassoulet had sold out then also our second choice Beef Bourguignon , but its ok we settled for Duck breast and the lovely young waitress allowed me to have theBeef Stroganoff from the 2 course menu . We were eating off the a la carte menu with the free wine option . Lovely meal as always , see you again soon

We were very happy with our pie and stew, both well seasoned vegan dishes. The food has arrived promptly even though the restaurant seemed quite busy. Overall very positive experience.

Food was fantastic as usual. You always know that whatever you order will taste amazing. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Guinea Fowl and bottle of Pinot Noir. Service was great too. Was a bit noisy with the big party near us but didn't ruin our overall experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening and one of our last date nights for a while before our bundle of joy arrives :)

Great food, great service. The only bad point was my plate wasn’t warm so my food cooled quite quickly. Nevertheless, we had a great evening!

Delicious food, scrumptious puddings plus the bonus of a complimentary bottle of wine, what could be better! Pleased to get a quiet table downstairs as the large dining area can be noisy.

Not sure if we did not actually in fact pay for the Chardonnay? We had booked for the wine offer.

Billing process for 9 chaotic especially with excessive 12.5% service included - it spoilt an otherwise pleasant lunch

The restaurant has a nice ambience and is popular. The sourdough bread is tasty, we didn't have any other starters. We chose the chablis which was well chilled and a fruity smooth good wine. We had the poulet grille butterflies chicken with potato dauphin oise with mushrooms which was a tasty dish. The fillet steak wihe frites was a good steak, the frites were a bit cold. The fish stew was plentiful with good size mussels and tasty, my niece would have appreciated a bit more spice. We sent the second bottle of wine, chardonnay back as it wasn't chilled they'd run out in the fridge and changed it for another bottle if chardonnay, which the restaurant were happy to do. My niece had the banana crepes which were lovely. The creme bulee caramelised sugar was too burnt for me, although my sisters was OK. Thry knocked mine off the bill as I couldn't eat it and I didn't want a replacement. The service was okay.

Amazing meal with the boyfriend and love the new Winter January 2020 menu! We were served by our favourite and brilliant waiter in Winchester who is Hungarian. Looking forward to coming back Friday with a couple of girlfriends. So lucky to have a Côte Brasserie in Winchester.

Good food. Well served and when there was a problem it was politely and helpfully managed

Yet again :-) an excellent meal with great service !!! Unhurried & relaxed , which considering we were a table of 10 was fantastic. This was our third large family gathering at this restaurant & didn't disappoint us at all. We will be back !!!!!!!

Particularly liked the menu for January excellent value for money.

We arrived a bit early but were able to sit at our table. We ordered our food but unfortunately there was a problem with the ordering system and the staff informed us that there would be a delay. We had to wait 45 minutes for our food but the staff were very apologetic and when it arrived it was delicious. Good service and lovely food.

Food was fine but gap between our starter and main was over 40 minutes and we had 2 very young children with uswho by then had started to become fractious which spoilt our enjoyment of the meal. So on this occasion only a 3.

Fabulous meal! The cod special was delicious as was the almond tart with cinnamon ice cream. Love the atmosphere and impeccable service! Can’t wait to return.

We had an enjoyable meal. The orange starter from the fixed price menu was the only disappointment. Food otherwise was excellent. Staff could have been more engaging.

I had forgotten how delicious and how lovely it is to have lunch at Cote. I must make it an option to go more often. Great food reasonably priced and exquisite service.

Great January Sales offer from Cote, Early Evening menu had good options although two problems - no Parsnip soup available this evening and Haddock Goujons were over-cooked - that said, we had a nice time again

We like coming to Côte whenever we are in Winchester. Been coming ever since you opened here. But last night was ‘off’. The food didn’t hit the spot. Maybe we chose badly. Parsnip potato leek soup. Excessively thick and rather bland. Goujons very crisp, but dried out fish inside. Good fries. Moules good as always. Beef stroganoff very nice. Pasta must have been under a warming light too long as whole surface hard and dry. Kitchen was very slow.

The quality of food was very good however the service was poor which spoiled our experience. Those of us ordering a drink received them in good time. Those of us asking for water had to wait a long time with 2/3 prompts to staff members passing. The two starters were served and when we could get the attention of staff we had to request side plates. Three main meals were served with the assurance that the forth was on its way. However without asking for the meal again I'm not sure how long it would have taken, my guess would be after the rest of the party had finished their meal. The service felt as though the right words were being spoken without any are of what was actually happening. For the prices being charged I would expect a good standard of service. Some of the smaller cafe's near by have better customer care. I'm sad to say I won't be rushing back.

Went to Cote pre Cinema. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented Staff were very attentive. Cote never disappoints Will be back at end of January for family birthday meal.
