The Winchester branch of this franchise is absolutely superb and in my humble opinion beats all the other similar restaurants in the city including The Ivy or Brasserie Blanc. We visit this restaurant very regularly and we are always served by “Miron. “. The service he gives is first-class ,polite ,professional, efficient And very pleasant thank you

I have eaten at Cote Winchester on many occasions, usually meeting a friend or as a group of friends and we usually stick to one of the set menus. The service is always exceptional and the set menus are excellent - varied and tasty.

1 always enjoy my visit to Cotes. Today was my Birthday and my friend and myself received a free cocktail. The server's very attentive, always making sure we were ok. Food was excellent, especially deserts. We try to eat out once a month, and usually end up at Cotes.

I have always found Cote very good but we were disappointed today with our meal and the service. Our meal was left sitting on the central consul for nearly 4 mins before being brought to the table and I then had to send two dishes back which were cold. The third member of the party was left eating his meal on his own. There were other people sending dishes back and tables were prompting the staff when they were left waiting. We were given free coffees however the coffee was unusually strong for the espresso and americana. We have used Cote many times before and been very happy but today was very disappointing and it did spoil our dining experience.

We researched quite a few different restaurants in Winchester for our annual get together of 30 friends. Cote Brasserie came up trumps in terms of location, choice and quality of food, and price. Everything was managed very well, with contact re pre-ordering, special requirements etc. On the evening itself they had thoughtfully prepared name cards with our menu choices on, which helped enormously. We had the whole of the upstairs to ourselves, so could chatter away without disturbing any other guests. Ethan, who was our waiter that evening, did a marvellous job: efficient, friendly, and good-humoured throughout. We all agreed we’d had a great time, and will be making it an annual event. When we arrived just before 7.30pm we were shown to our table and left, for just over 20 minutes, at one point during that time a waiter did shout over and tell us to look at the back of the menu at the drinks, if anyone had actually looked at our booking they would have seen that we had a bottle of wine included, and also that I needed a gluten free menu, shame no one did and by the time our waiter came over I was not happy at all. He was very apologetic, and told us he was covering two areas, which to be honest I don't care about. What I wanted was to be served our drink and get a menu that I could work with. He also told us that the red wine on the offer was not available so we would have to have the chardonnay, on this occasion that was fine as that is what we actually but I find it disgraceful that you would run out of the red wine and not offer any alternative. The food we ordered was very good, portions were fairly small which was good as we are not big eaters. I have to say that I was really impressed with the variety of gluten free options, I usually struggle to find three courses that I would want to eat, let alone be struggling to choose between so many options. Our waiter was very good, and kept us updated during the evening, it seems excessive to be in the restaurant for well over 2 hours and a quarter hours, we were a table of just 2. So to be honest we have mixed feelings about the evening.

We have eaten at several Cote's in different areas, and they have never let us down so far. A great favourite.

Polite attentive service, very pleasant ambience, excellent menu at very reasonable prices, tasty food. The only two minor issues were a rather long wait for the main courses and some of the bacon wrapping the guinea hen ballotine was a bit too salty, otherwise a perfect meal out.

Very busy - acoustics awful and tables too close together. Drinks arrived after our main had arrived

Food very average. Steak tough and cold inside very poor quality. Couldn’t cut with a steak knife even. Had to change whole meal which then resulted in me having to eat my main course alone. On receiving the bill the complimentary wine was added to the bill. Lots of things wrong with the bill just not a pleasant experience overall and wouldn’t return. Towards end of evening very loud large table put next to us so couldn’t hear ourselves talk.

Nice venue, good service and reasonable menu choice. We eat at this Cote every month and usually find it to be excellent. However this time there was one small disappointment. The minute steak my wife always chooses, is described on the menu as being served 'pink' and we always ask for it to be VERY pink. It is understood that this steak is thin, but this time, for the first time ever, it came medium to well done! When mentioned to the otherwise pleasant waitress she said it was thin so could not be cooked rarer. Well, it always has been in the past! The crab starter was as good as usual, my duck breast, ordered 'very pink' was presented as ordered, and was a nice size too, so why could not the steak be under cooked rather than over cooked. Quite simple really. I suspect that a chef was on duty that night who was not quite as skilled as the one usually on duty. No waitress should just not try and fob off polite comments in the way that happened last evening.

Restaurant lovely as was the food. Service great as always. unfortunately the evening was spoiled by the noise, in particular the lady on the table next to us, who was extremely loud, an actress who felt the need to project her voice as though she was on the stage, so we found it impossible to hold a conversation. We did consider asking to be moved but it was so busy we thought it unlikely to be possible. It did spoil my birthday somewhat, but it won't put us off coming again as its our 'go to' restaurant when we have something to celebrate.

Friendly helpful staff. Food well cooked, presented and good value for money especially as we took advantage of the January offer. See you again soon

Excellent food as always. Could not give full marks as I booked online to take advantage of January set menu offer and pointed this out when we ordered but when the bill came we had been charged the full price.The waiter did sort it out eventually.
