Good experience, tables well spaced food excellent, staff helpful, toilets spotless!

Great service & excellent food. Unfortunately, we were sat upstairs, in an empty room so lacked atmosphere (but that’s the stupid rules of CoVid for you)!

We were both somewhat shocked that cutlery and glasses were left out on the tables. On previous occasions for both of us, everything has been brought to the table in sterile packages or handed to us (napkin-wrapped) from the end of a long tray - as was all the food and drink in the second instance. Lost one star I found the lobster disappointing. It was small and would have benefitted from being smothered in a flavoured butter and then blow-torched. Another lost star. The chips were excellent, as always at Cote. The beouf bourgignon and accompaniments were good. I accept that Cote always adds 12.5% service charge and I appreciate the high level of training of your staff and the reliably good food BUT I would like it left to my discretion

The bad points are minor but they were part of our overall experience, so here goes. Firstly, they didn’t have any tomato juice so no Bloody Mary and secondly we had to ask for butter for our toast after the waiter had said it was in it’s way. That’s it for the negative points. The breakfast was good quality and the staff were excellent. On the whole a nice treat which we’ll repeat in the future.

As usual very nice meal and attentive staff. Never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Food has always been very good and today was no exception.

As regulars we always enjoy our visits to Cote Winchester, always a marvellous welcome and help, if required, up the steps (I am partially paralysed and I do hope you will be able to get planning permission for hand holds on either side of the entrance - a lot of people have said that to me as well); the service by the team is always perfect and helpful, and the food always delicious. You have a very strong and extremely successful and happy team there and my wife and I could not be more delighted to continually visit Côte.

A perfect breakfast for a sunny Sunday! We will definitely be back again soon.

We love the French breakfast with field mushroom and boudin noir. Their coffee was not the best.

Really excellent lunch today, from the welcome and table selection, through to attentive service and delicious food all served in a timely fashion and with both efficiency and friendliness. Well worth the visit and all for a reasonable price. Best meal out for a while!

I like Cote very much. We have been there twice in the last two weeks. We used to go to another restaurant now boarded up and another high profile one which is more expensive but no better. So quality and value are great. Our party of four have enjoyed everything we have ordered and the service is very good without being intrusive. Cannot fault it and really recommend this restaurant.

Really well prepared steaks. Cooked perfectly and seasoned really well. Food was not as hot as it usually is but it was very busy.

Staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Food was very delicious and service was fast but we didn’t feel rushed. Tables felt slightly too close together but not too cramped so still very comfortable. An enjoyable evening - will be returning.

Great food but have marked down because our table still had crumbs from last guests and there were crumbs on the seats.

Not as good today as usual. We were put upstairs (a 93 year old was one of my guests), the wait between the starter and main was too long and the ‘eat out to help out’ discount hadn’t been applied (until we pointed it out).

Very good and first time we had been out for months and had a lovely meal & service. Felt very comfortable with measures in place for social distancing and PPE on team. Overall had a lovely meal.

Enjoyable and safe meal. Restaurant was very noisy for a lunchtime service and it was a shame that the a la carte menu was not available. That said all food lovely and good service. Will definitely go again.

Outstanding, very well organized, staff masked, and tables well distanced. Food excellent as always and atmosphere still the lovely old Cote's buzz, if a little quieter. A real pleasure to be back and enjoying such great food and service.
