Lovely staff, very impressed that the manager gave the three of us complimentary wine when our free reward bottle of wine was not available as we hadn't had our email reply within 24hours of registering online for it.However our main meals arrived while we were eating our starter and were kept at the bar for a while before we were told that they were ready and asked if we wanted to have them with our starter.We declined and said we'd prefer to wait until we'd at least finished our starter.They were taken away from the bar after a further little while.The meals were then brought back after a more acceptable period of time after we had finished our starter but they were clearly the same meals reheated which really surprised us. We should have refused them but we felt too awkward at the time so proceeded to eat our meals. Really very surprised that we weren't given fresh meals.

Usual good staff experience. Choice on the special lunch menu's were not so appealing as in previous visits and my husbands pudding was only half the size as his same choice on our last visit.

Fantastic food and service as always. First time with my parents for a birthday meal. They were very impressed and will definately be coming again

We were seated at a lovely round table next to the window, tucked up in a corner so private but light. The waiter was very attention (maybe a little too attentive) and very pleasant. The staff remembered it was my birthday and the complimentary Kir Royal's arrived without prompting. The food was very good, no rushing and tasty. Would definitely return.

Very good. No fuss, good food, reasonable prices. Will recommend. Staff were attentive but not constantly hovering. Food was good for the price and we'll presented. Happy.

Lovely meals and service. 4 of us were there for nearly 3 hours chattering and never felt rushed in any way. We will be back!

We all had good meals and the sevice was good. There was an excellent gluten free menu and my daughter was pleased to see gluten free chips available again.

Good food under difficult situation as the kitchen was boiling due to the heatwave. Staff friendly and the early evening meal is good value. Delicious!

I always enjoy an evening at Côte Brasserie, the food is delicious and you even have a choice of menus. The staff really make the restaurant special, they always seem happy to talk and answer any questions you may have. Finally I enjoy the ambiance of this restaurant as it makes me feel as if I could be in France.

Loved it really excellent food and service. Will be going back again on a monthly basis. What more is there to say. Bon appetite again.

Welcomed at the door by name having booked a table. Food was very tasty. Especially enjoyed the crab and advocado starter. Service was good. Would book again.

Cote Brasserie Winchester are fantastic! The food is delicious and the service is first class. We have various dietary needs including gluten free, dairy and nut free and this is dealt with with the utmost professionalism. Well done Cote, you never let us down!

Cote is a smart restaurant with a relaxed feel. Great service, good food cooked well. A good choice on the menu. Great stuff. Just up the High st. from town and close to Tower St car park.

Great service and excellent steaks. Really happy we chose to eat here abdcwill be back. The restaurant lay out is quite quirky on many levels but this stops it sounding like a turkey farm!

I gave a low score for this visit because my friend had asked for her scrambled eggs to be cooked a certain way and that didn't happen. However, the two breakfasts were not charged for as a result. Everything else was good.

Good food, good service in a smart environment. I had the duck breast which was very nice but not quite as much cherry sauce as was given last time there. I would still have it again despite that. The other dishes we had were also much enjoyed.

Delicious food, cooked beautifully in pleasant surroundings, served efficiently by friendly, helpful staff. Especially enjoyed the salmon and asparagus, and hope to visit Cote again soon

Experienced this chain for first time in Reading a few weeks ago and was so impressed took my wife for a Birthday lunch here in Winchester. Service OK but not outstanding and seemed to be understaffed which caused for delays. Food was reasonably priced as we opted for the two and three course options but waiter seemed very keen to up sell the "sides" which were grossly overpriced to boost profit. £2.95 for a small portion of fries or french beans??? Really? Rest of food OK though a little ordinary and one dish consisted of cheap tinned tuna, mayonaisse with a scattering of capers and some herbs which was cheating somewhat. Quite disappointed on this occasion compared to the first experience. Not sure will go again?

A centrally located restaurant in Winchester which as always provided a good value meal which was enjoyed by all of our party. Would highly recommend.

Great service but the food was not as good as some of their other restaurants such as Camden and Covent Garden. Not sure if it was an off day in the kitchen but as we were passing through we probably won't try the Winchester restuarant again.

Lovely cote nice and clean with a relaxing vibe and tasty food. Excellent place to catch up and have lunch with friends def worth visiting.

Very good service and good food too. It was a very busy restaurant, I could see no empty tables but still service was up to standard.

My daughter took me and my husband out to dinner to celebrate our birthdays. She is vegetarian so was particularly pleased with the new dedicated vegetarian menu, an excellent idea. The food was excellent, the tuna cooked perfectly. The ambiance is good, however rather noisy. We did not like the twelve and a half per cent added to the bill, we prefer to make our own decision how much to give as a gratuity, which we did. We will continue to visit Cote.

Excellent meal, friendly service. We were seated first next to a large table with an all female party, understandably noisy, so we asked to be moved to a quieter table, which we were.

Nice table overlooking Winchester high street. Good service. Good food. A little pricey for quite a fatty steak. Otherwise would have been full marks really.

Excellent food and great service. The restaurant offers a good atmosphere to enjoy delicious food. Really central location in the heart of historic Winchester too.

Food was as good as ever - service a bit slower than normal but it was a saturday night - altogether a very nice evening.

Lovely Friday lunch - beautifully fresh, well-presented tasty food - efficient friendly staff - busy vibrant atmosphere. Good value lunch menu too. We'll be returning soon.

As usual, the service, the food and the ambiance was par excellent. We have become quite regular visitors now, Long may it continue, Cote's is definitely for us.

Service was unbelievably slow, 50 minutes for starters to arrive. As we had a flight to catch we had to have our main courses sent out with the starters as we only had 3 minutes until we had to leave. Very disappointing and would not come back....

Great location and super staff. The menu choices were varied and the food was excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend this Cote and I'd certainly go back again.

We have never failed to enjoy our meals at Cote Winchester and always the staff are so attentive and friendly. The Restaurant is a credit to 'Cote'

atmosphere and service good and food did not disssapoint-up to the usual Cote standard. We were hoping to take advantage of the complimentary kir royal however two in our party wanted to go on the set menu so we did the same which meant we werent able to take advantage of the offer , For us the complimentary bottle of wine is much better. Then it is worth choosing from the a la carte.

Good food and wine. Attentive and friendly service. A la carte menu has sufficient variety. Corner table as requested. Really couldn't ask for more. Will continue to patronise on a regular basis

Beautiful food and very fast service, early evening menu had a great variety of options, and also at a great price for the standard of food served.

Good choice on fixed price menu and reasonably priced wines. Staff very friendly and helpful. All in all excellent service, which seems to be consistent at various venues.

My friends joined me for complimentary Kir Royals on the occasion of my birthday before enjoying great food in a busy efficiently run restaurant with a buzz atmosphere ,a lovely way to spend a rainy summers day in Winchester !

A varied menu and pleasant staff. Generally good value and good quality without being pretentious. Cote seem to be able to offer a consistent quality of food and customer service across various locations, which is no mean feat.

Meal ok. Waitress dropped knife on my back, had to take shirt to Cleaner's . Table to close to others. And meal to close to each other

Main course burnt told this was as it should be char grilled! There is a difference between char grilled and burnt to point it was inedible!
