Fantastic food and service, Cote Brassierie never disappoints. Great atmosphere and very reasonably priced. Along with normal menu there is always a special menu. Highly recommend this place.

They carelessly overcharged us. When pointed out, however, were extremely apologetic and immediately removed the incorrect item. Food excellent as usual and friendly service. Pity about the incorrect bill.

Excellent food, quick and efficient service. Staff very friendly, yet courteous. One of the best places to eat in Wimchester and just around the corner from The Everyman.

Our first time at this restaurant and we weren’t disappointed. Food was delicious and served fairly quickly and the staff were pleasant and attentive. Would most definitely go again and will be recommending it to our friends and family.

Very well looked after - both for quick light snack supper last Friday, and individual full Sunday lunch last Sunday ! Looking forward to another visit with several friends in November !

Despite the restaurant being very busy for lunchtime we were served quickly and efficiently. The food was delicious and well cooked. We chose the fixed price menu and although the portions are small it was perfect for lunch - didn't need dessert.

Not much ambience upstairs would recommend eating in the downstairs restaurant. Food was ok but not outstanding. Overall a bit expensive for the quality received. Service was good.

Standard Cote Brasserie but it is an excellent French-style package. Plenty of Gallic flair on the menu (as good as you will see in any Parisian bistro / brasserie) and a complementary wine list. It's easily the best "chain" and wherever we go, we will often seek out the local Cote. Might be formulaic but it's a great formula.

A great place to celebrate my birthday. A complimentary Kia royale to start the evening and a tasty meal to enjoy. The only slight negative was the length of time it took to get anyone's attention to settle the bill. But I really enjoyed the whole evening.

The food is always excellent and nicely presented with cloth napkins. After so many meals there, we know the local staff well who are always extremely helpful and polite.

We really like the ambience of Cote in Winchester. The staff are pleasant too. However when we went last week it was a busy Saturday night. My son and I both had fish. His salmon was over cooked and my meal was watery (from the veg I think). However the deserts were delicious. We didn't feel we should complain as they were rushed off their feet.

WE booked online through a promotion that gave us a free bottle of wine However our server told us they had run out of this wine so she called the manager. The manager told us they had had a busy weekend and they would not be replenished till Wednesday. She had an almost full bottle of the wine. She asked if we would accept this and when it was finished she would give us a glass of wine if our choice. We were happy wth that and went ahead with our orders. The restaurant was lovely and warm with a good ambience and background music at a perfect level. The wine was good and well chilled. When we had finished it the manager selected another one for us which we liked. I had the duck breast and my husband had boeuf bourgignon. Both were delicious and good portion sizes. We had some of the sourdough bread to start but we were too full to order pudding. They ordered a taxi for us to take. Us back to our hotel. It was a lovely evening which good have gone wrong but the managers attentiveness made it a really good experience

Calamari as a starter. Lots of batter and not much squid but the surprise was the fish bone. The restaurant was busy and so noisy that conversation was difficult at times. The sirloin steak was good and cooked as requested, if a little salty. The staff were attentive. I don't like the optional 12.5% service charge added to the bill. I very seldom do not tip, but prefer to make my own decisions.

It was an incredibly pleasant evening in the lovely surroundings and atmosphere of the Cote Brasserie in Winchester. One of the joys of this restaurant is that the tables are well spaced so that you are not cheek by jowl with anyone else. We were well looked after throughout the meal with superb service in every respect. The food was extremely good.

The service was terrible. We were given the specials menu from which two of our party ordered and were then told that they didn't have any left. One of our drinks was incorrect and our main course took an hour to be served. We were unnecessarily put on a table in the furthest corner in the back room which was almost empty and had no atmosphere. When the food did arrive it was very average. Wont be going back.

Service was great. Charlie was very attentive. The duck was excellently but not thrilled with the cherries. The complementary bottle of wine was very nice as well. We chose the Chardonnay to go with the duck.

Attentive service. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. My mushroom soup was a bit too peppery for my liking but still tasted of mushrooms! My salmon fishcake could have done with a bit more seasoning. But all in all a good meal. Cote provides good food (not too fancy) at a reasonable price especially it's 2 or 3 courses menus for lunch or dinner.

Food great, waiter helpful and friendly but food took ages to arrive. Decor VERY dated and tired. Winchester branch needs a major shake up if it is to compete with local restaurants.

Friendly service, and food generally really nice, but 'medium rare' steak was pretty 'well done', and a bit gristly in places, which was a shame as we've had the fillet steak many times & has previously always been amazing.

Wide choice of tasty food, pleasant staff, but service was really slow. In addition the choice of alcohol for non-wine drinkers is not wide enough.

Very good freshly cooked food. Attentive waiter despite being short-staffed. Noisy, like all restaurants; no need for music, and a designer or acoustic engineer could improve matters.

Food delicious, as always - the steak and frites never disappoint, and who can resist the calamari rings as a starter - real comfort food. Prompt and attentive service but not overbearing. Although the lunch/early evening menu is very good value, we were a little taken aback by the cost of some of the side dishes/extras.

We went with three of us and as usual had an enjoyable meal. The food was tasty, nicely presented and arrived suitably fast and the service was reasonably friendly and helpful. As usual it had a bustling, rather impersonal atmosphere - rather inevitable with a restaurant of that size and, knowing that, exactly what we wanted.

Having had a very disappointing experience eating in our hotel restaurant the previous evening we decided to go into Winchester on the Monday evening. We chose Côte because we use various of their branches often for lunch when in town shopping and are never disappointed. This was our first evening meal at a Côte Brasserie so weren't sure what to expect especially it being a Monday. We needn't have worried. The service was perfect. We were lucky to find the Anniversary Menu was available and both had that. It was one of the best restaurant meals we've had in a while. Very relaxing, very good, interesting and well presented food and very good value. We will be back next time we are in Winchester. Thank you.

The food was good, the restaurant was well attended and the service was good. Most of my family eat either fillet or Sirloin steak and commented on how good it was. I had the Bretton fish stew which was a little salty but flavoursome
