Côte Winchester

We eat at Cote regularly and love the consistency of service and food. A relaxing environment for breakfast, lunch and dinner and we have tried them all! The Winchester team are very welcoming, remember your favourites and even know which table you like too. It’s reassuring to see the same faces and the staffs hard work and long hours don’t go unnoticed.

Excellent food and service. All of us had the steak frite with garlic butter followed by various deserts, iced berries, chocolate mousse and chocolate pot. All excellent

Brilliant service and food. Good value too. Moules and frites excellent others enjoyed the chicken with garlic butter. Nice muscadet wine and great chocolate fondant dessert. Will definitely book again.

Really friendly service from the moment we arrived. They were polite, efficient and the food was delicious. Clean plates all round! Thank you. It was a lovely evening.

Great staff and relaxed enjoyable atmosphere. Food generally good, and wine fairly priced with good by-the-glass options. Would prefer more frequently changing specials menu. Ask to sit at the back.

Excellent breakfast in a pleasant environment. Lovely staff provided great service and we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit. Specially recommend the vegetarian breakfast with avocado.

Excellent company, excellent food, excellent service. One issue: don't agree with your policy of adding tip to the wine. You already charge a significant mark up.

Great service and food, greeted at door by name. We had the Formule breakfast, great value and delicious, I had the vegetarian breakfast. Definitely will revisit.

We go to Cote quite regularly and the food is usually good. However the service this time was very good, friendly, fun but polite. It makes for a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

Professional and excellent service, wonderful food beautifully presented - starters were generous and very tasty (Calamri, Parfait) the roast Haddock special was very special, partners rib-eye was cooked to perfection. Seats a little on the hard side but that is my only criticism...oh! and the toilets are miles away (if you're on the ground floor).

Enjoyable food and the staff were efficient and on the ball. Looking forward to visiting again, perhaps for the Christmas menu or an earl evening bite.

Nice food, menu not too long so confident that meal not out of a packet. Good sized portions, took advantage of a free wine offer , so certainly can’t complain about that!

Superb food and pleasant staff made for a very enjoyable lunch and with the offer of a complementary bottle of wine was an added bonus.

Good food, good service, good environment, good wine, good value lunch menu. Never had a bad experience at Cote. Will highly recommend this chain of restaurants.

Lovely experience, Miron was a first class waiter, just the right mix of jolly and professional. Marked down one for the less than hot potato. Was given the opportunity to send it back but that tends to result in us eating separately.

Comprehensive menu reasonably priced and Excellent service. Had our grandchild with us and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Would recommend and looking forward to our next visit.

The staff were fast and attentive. As we didn't have much time to eat before our visit to the theatre, this was very much appreciated. The food was good with a reasonable variety available. Would certainly recommend.

We booked to celebrate my son'so graduation, the staff were welcoming and the food was excellent. Attractive spacious surroundings. Cote Winchester compares very well with their London and Brighton restaurants.

Slow service, lacking in attention to detail. Also hot desserts had been hanging around a long time as not hot when served and ice cream very melted. Disagree with practice of automatically adding 12.5% service charge to bill.

The food was excellent" as per usual. The waiter seemed in too much of a hurry, rushing us to order, then removing a drink that wasn't finished. But then there was a long wait for desserts... When we paid the bill he asked if we wanted change as the manager was the only one to deal with cash...this was just strange. Overall though we really enjoyed our first visit to this branch

Very enjoyable graduation celebration lunch. Food and service very good and nice atmosphere. Staff very attentive even though it was very busy and they were obviously under a lot of pressure. Will certainly use again if in area - much better than experience we had in London cote Brasserie

Always have a lovely tasty meal but today was not so good, I has the mixed fish with creamed potato topping and it was full of small bones...very dangerous especially if it had been given to a small child. However they exchanged it for something else ( the duck breast) which was delicious

Enjoyed lunch here as usual - only disappointment was that - as often happens in Winchester Cote - the soup was served luke warm. Main courses all fine.

Nice variety of choices on the menu. Olive starter only average. French apple tart desert needs larger dollop of ice cream. Service is very good I will definitely eat her again and highly recommend Cote to others.

Food and service were great but our table was in a high traffic area near the bar of the restaurant so was quite noisy - shame also about the smokers huddled around the entrance / exit - not good then the door was opening - would definitely return but would ask for a different table next time.

A great birthday party! A nice touch to have the kir royale ready and waiting. My dessert didn’t arrive with the others but when it did, there was a candle for me.

Great food, you know what ever you order it will be classic French. Good service never hsvi g to wait long for any course. Overall a great experiance.

Blonde woman appearing in charge was ridiculously rude to the other staff members in front of us almost belittling them. This rude woman ruined our entire experience.

Great overall experience. Cote is currently our favourite restaurant in Winchester. High quality ingredients and menu. Service great. Tempting offers and rewards encouraging us to return.

Food was very good, and the main course arrived really quickly - almost too quickly but we had asked for a change to a dish and that was included so they didn't just have them out the back!! Service was good, friendly and not too intrusive - they even brought the card machine over with the bill - brilliant the first restaurant to do that. Bill had a mistake and was corrected immediately and without fuss. We have tried various restaurants in Winchester and do keep coming back here - it never fails.

Good service, amazing food. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Lovley expeirience. We will surely be coming back in the future. The only thing i would point oht was there was no 2-3 course meal option available today as that would have been a very good value for money but nevertheless we were happy with the quality of the food so didnt really bother us 😀

Good food and excellent service as usual, even though it was a very busy lunch time. This made the atmosphere very lively and we really enjoyed the experience.

Cote delivers as always. Very friendly and helpful staff in a lovely bistro setting. The rewards scheme is excellent and my friend and I enjoyed a delicious bottle of Sauvignon Blanc on the house!

Was recommended to us by friends. We have eaten here twice. Will come again. Good Food. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff but not intrusive. We would recommend Cote Brasserie.

Excellent food and really great service. Just a shame that you dont include bread with soup and mussels starters on the set menu but charge extra.

Very attentive staff member who genuinely wanted to make us to feel comfortable with dining experience the food was hot and tasty and the waiter provided a quick and professional service. Recommended.

Nice meal with family, thought bit pricey for what we had when 12.5% added for service. Service was okay, disappointing availability of drinks for children, had to go out to nearby shop for carton.

Ambience pleasant, staff friendly and attentive without being obsequious. Food delicious. We went twice within a week. I enjoyed the grilled Breton chicken; superb! The duck breast was grilled to perfection. The French onion soup was up there with the best.

We booked quite late but were given a good table in a quiet corner and were not kept waiting. The staff were all very friendly, cheerful and polite and delivered the food just at the right time. The food itself was excellent and the whole meal was very good value.

Food excellent, service excellent. The only problem was the lack of a lift to the 1st floor so no disabled persons could get there. Myself, having a tendinitis problem, I had great difficulties reaching my table with my friends. Gill Dixon
