Côte Winchester

Excellent food. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Sadly the bathroom is rather difficult to get to climbing many stairs. Can’t wait to visit again

Food was good but service was a little lack lustre. Not many smiler or much charm. We did leave a 12% tip but talked about whether to remove it.

We were all very satisfied and enjoyed our food. A plate of potato took time to arrive but place was pretty busy. Suggest you supply finger bowl with fish soup as one can get quite mucky dealing mussels!

Busy service at lunchtime but we were well looked after and the food came quickly! As ever, our meals were of a great standard. We'll be back!

Cote Winchester is always a good experience. Good food and wines to match. The service was excellent considering how busy the restaurant was. can't wait until my next visit.

Good service. Noisy Group sat by our table was handled sympathetically, food was lovely. Slightly over priced but a good meal and would recommend to couples.

Food was really good. The chocolate mousse is to die for! Could do with draft beers but other than that was a really great evening.

We had to wait quite a long time before the food arrived. Very polite. The black pudding was burnt & replaced. Preferred Côte in Eton.

Great service, good food, lively atmosphere, let down only by the icy blast from the front door every time it opened.. An inner door would be a great idea.

It is always a pleasure to dine at Cotes in Winchester. The staff are very professional and efficient, service with a smile. The menu is excellent and presentation is of a high standard, very good value.

Excellent Service in a warm friendly environment. Quality Food from an extensive menu at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon.

Not as good an experience as previous visits. Service average couple of things went wrong. Didn’t like our location in restaurant but needed to be here because of our party size and composition. Looking back I wish I had my favourite Breton fish stew not the Cassoulet. It was ok where as the stew was brilliant. I will make up for it by going back tomorrow. I guess that says it all. Normally it’s excellent.

Unfortunately we had to change tables due to cold draughty air con and our table was also cramped for 4 people. Two of our starters arrived cold and two main courses had to be sent back because they were stone cold. Not what we expect from Cote. A disappointing visit.

A nice restaurant that we have visited many times. Food good, as was the complimentary bottle of wine. The only disappointment was the news that there was no duck breast (which I normally choose at Cote branches), because I quote " we cannot get it now because of Brexit". If that really is the case then the sooner we leave the EU the better. We can then look forward to having such meat grown by British farmers, probably with better animal welfare standards too. I don't think I have heard Scottish whisky makers warning us that Brexit will stop the hard stuff coming South!

Great service and wonderful with our kids, would definitely return. We arrived at 5 on Fireworks night for some food ahead of going. Friendly team.

We had a great meal, usual consistent standard. Red wine was corked, and the waitress did not seem how to handle our feedback initially, but all was well in the end, and a new glass of wine produced at the table from a bottle opened in front of us saved the day

Really enjoyable tasty dinner for two. Great value for money. The only downside is they messed up my wifes gluten free starter, but I guess that can happen anywhere.

Several of our choices were not available but manager and staff dealt with it well. Dishes we had were good and wines very quaff able.

Excellent unobtrusive service. Food up to the usual high standard. Pity the first four wines we tried to order were unavailable, but we have never been disappointed with anything from the wine list

This was the second year we had celebrated my bother-in-law's birthday at Cote, Winchester. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented.

Charlie was great if that was the name of our waitress. Thought the glasses of Chablis were rather expensive but the overall experience was very good - as usual!

As always, the food was good and the service attentive. A good place to meet up with friends. I have already booked to visit again this month.

Excellent reception food and service. But the subsequent survey is a disappointment. So please don’t ask me again. I will support Côte Brasserie but not the survey in future - what apity

Excellent restaurant, we eat here all the time! Such good value for money, especially the set menus before 7pm on weekdays. A La Carte menu offers a good variety of dishes. Staff are very helpful and friendly, always willing to recommend a new wine to try! If you've not tried it yet, get on and book a table now!

Excellent food. Service very good despite restaurant being very busy, although coffee arrived after a longer than expected wait. Would certainly recommend and would dine here again.

Food great, staff great, price appropriate. The only downside was that we were blinded by the sun reflecting off the windows of the building opposite - a blind would have helped.

Great service and food - as always! Steaks were very good and the sweets were excellent. Does Cote do Alchohol beers? Would be good if they did.

We ordered bread and olives to start but main came up straight away with no time to enjoy them. Staff rectified situation though. Food good. Crepe dessert delicious! Worth asking them to pace the food!

We had an excellent meal with very good service. We all had different dishes and they were all delicious. we will definitely go there again.

I booked this as Birthday celebration meal for my husband and all eight were delighted. The food and staff were excellent and in particular our waitress Hope was fantastic, a real asset for your Company.

Had a great meal with the the family, find it hard to fault. Waiting staff very attentive food lovely very close to getting a 6 very rarely give top scores.

Service was really average and once again food was frozen. Really disappointing and do not recommend. For the same price Brasserie blanc is much better.

I come here a lot & the food, staff, service, ambiance and quality is always great. We are never rushed or feel we should leave & today for lunch was no exception. Brilliant place to eat.

We had a really tasty meal. One of our party thought that his meal was one of the best restaurant meals he had ever had!

The waiter took a long time to take our order. He split champagne on the table and then didn’t clean it up until he was asked to by someone on the table. The food was cold when it it came out.

They have a good value lunchtime menu. Staff are very friendly and efficient and nothing is too much trouble. Always an enjoyBle experience and would recommend it.

Friendly staff and a great breakfast. A family breakfast is a our little treat and something we look forward to. The ingredients are top quality and very tasty.

We come to the Cote Restaurant regularly, especially when we are going to the Theatre Royal, so we just love your special deal menus. Always very good service and good food at great value. But we do not like sitting in the lower level by the door, which I had too on the 15th October, when I felt service and food was not up to your usual standard. But you did have a large party on the upper level. Having said that we love Cote!!!!!

Cote in Winchester is one of our favourite places. The staff are efficient and very welcoming. We come here most Fridays for lunch. Thank You

Nice lunch menu today. As always this was very good value. Service is always friendly and helpful. This is a very nice spacious restaurant at top of High Street.
