Excellent service, food and venue! Would thoroughly recommend for any occasion or just lunch or dinner. Had an unexpected free glass of fizzy as it was my birthday too!

High quality food & service in a bustling atmosphere. A la carte quality but with good portion sizes. Recommend the parfait & steak. Friendly staff.

Excellent food and service.....but plates could have been hotter so the food didn’t cool down so quickly. I had the Roquefort sauce with my steak last time and this was served hot. Yesterday it was served cold like a solid slice of butter....not what I expected and I think it contributed to the food being cooler! Otherwise I would have scored them 5!

An excellent hot breakfast at Cote Winchester. I would say that the bacon was on the crispy side but I was offered a replacement proactively when the waitress spotted it. Great service as usual.

The food and service was great. Minus one because we were sat near the door and had a slight draught ever so often. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning.

This is our go to restaurant of choice, the building is lovely and you have plenty of space. The food is beautiful and the service fantastic.

The reception we received on entry was very good. Ambiance was very good as was the varied menu and of course the food. Server suggested a wine which was also good and enjoyable. The service could be described as a little rushed but that may be due to the restaurant not being very busy. The only downside was the automatically added service charge of 12.5%. We always leave a tip but object to the auto inclusion, it’s nice to make up ones own mind. BUT all in all a good experience as is usual in Côte Brasseries.

Lovely ambience, good food and excellent attention from the waiting staff. Complimentary tap water too. All plates emptied and we all left full and satisfied!

The Cote group produce good food on a reliable basis. The Winchester branch offers an excellent menu, food and service. I enjoyed my swordfish hugely.

As always excellent food at this restaurant and coupled with the very good service makes it a pleasure to go here as always. Will go back time and time again.

Lovely food, lovely service, would recommend! Fancy pants and all that jazz. Portion sizes do vary a lot though so be careful! You have been warned!

Food and service was lovely however a little heavy handed on the salt on the fries and chicken and one staff member had a tendency of singing loudly and randomly near our tables and it wasn’t pleasant.

A positive experience at Cote. Service very attentive, food good, great atmosphere. Only minor criticism is that the food came very quickly so we felt slightly rushed. But when we mentioned this, we had a relaxing break before dessert.

Had a really lovely family meal, great food, lovely staff, will definitely be back. The car park is close and free after 6pm so a good choice for location and convenience.

Good tasty meal - no kids pudding or starter so worked out pricier than expected on overall cost. Still the food was really well cooked.

I took my mum to Côte in Winchester for a mothers day brunch. As with all Côte restaurants, it was a lovely building and the restaurant had a nice, relaxed feel to it. The staff were friendly and although it was busy they were very attentive. The food was good and they catered to my needs of gluten free alternatives without any issues. The cost was reasonable and it is one of the few places I have no issue with them automatically adding the 20% service charge on the bill - as staff clearly work hard to make your time there a nice experience. I would 100% recommend Côte.

Enjoyable lunch, nice choice of food with good service at resonable prices. Didn't like the amount of road work and noise going on outside and surrounding area.

Had a lovely meal here in Winchester with friends. Good food and good service. There is a lovely atmosphere in this busy restaurant and we will be returning.

We’ve eaten here many times and are usually satisfied. Today’s table was booked for 3pm and we wonder if the food had been kept warm as the fish parmentier was quite dry. Also the ciabatta with the starter was cold and stodgy ut we were given sourdough bread as a replacement .

Booking on the internet was somewhat difficult, and I managed to book twice by mistake. We sorted that. In the event, the food was outstanding and the service excellent. I have booked to return the very evening I reenter UK at Easter.

It was extremely busy but we were well served and the food was good. The only downside was that a large group of older women next to us seemed oblivious of our presence and kept on encroaching on our space with taking photos & having their backsides nearly in our faces - but that wasn't the fault of the helpful staff!

I booked a table at Côte Brasserie in Winchester for my birthday celebration with my family. It was a special occasion, not only as it was my birthday, but also because my parents were visiting from Edinburgh. The food was good, but our evening was ruined due to the loud noise from other diners in the restaurant. They couldn’t help it: it is just there is nothing to absorb the sound so it builds and builds. No-one around the table could hear what each other was saying. Sadly, we decided to skip dessert and coffee and come home. I rang the restaurant a few days later to provide feedback and was told head office would be in contact but no-one has replied to me. Very disappointed hence posting this review.

Food was lovely, but the service was unreliable. When we placed our food order we felt the waiter did not understand our order and was not sure what we were going to be served. To her credit she did get it right. However when we had finished the meal we waited 40 minutes before we were able to attract the attention to ask for the bill. The restaurant by now was not very busy, it is just the waiters were never looking in our direction or being attentive.

Cote consistently do the best scrambled eggs for breakfast anywhere! The Breakfast Formulae is great value including a coffee, a fruit juice and with my choice 2 slices of toast.

Our food was cold when it arrived over 40 mins after ordering... really disappointing. We were offered 4 pastries to take away in the car as an apology but for Mother's Day, a special brunch, this really wasn't good enough

fabulous meal as always and they even coped with my difficult mother! quickly got her some extra gravy and apple sauce as she didn't feel she had enough! needless to add the rest of our family's meals were amazing as always and thank you for being so amazingly attentive to my mother who at 80 is hard work and by being so attentive I got a Mother's Day meal myself without being stressed. We love your restaurant and your staff xxx

The restaurant, food and wine were all great, but the table wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait. Also, the waitress was very young and inexperienced and broke a wine glass over our table.

Really lovely food and good service from serving staff. The front of house welcome needs to be improved as this sets the tone for the restaurant.

Great staff, great food. Asked for a quiet table and were given one. Starter mains and dessert were all good. Could remove gratuity from the bills and leave it up to the customers.

We were a party of six. There was a problem with our order as the waiter made a mistake. Two dishes arrived after the others as they first brought the wrong thing. The staff were amazingly polite and helpful and apologetic and we were not charged for those two dishes, which we had to eat in a hurry as we were going to a concert. We left feeling that we had been treated well. The food was excellent and we would happily return. We have eaten inManynbrsnches of Cote and would highly recommend all of them.

A nice range of choices on the menu and a good separate veggie menu too. The restaurant has a nice relaxed feel and the staff really friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed our visit.

As we have come to expect, Cote provided excellent food at a really great price and the service was impeccable. The early evening menu at £13.50 for three courses is unbeatable: pea & mint soup/duck liver parfait, then steak frites/sea bass fillet with chive mash and rocket & blood orange salad, finished off with proper French creme caramels. A little bit of real French cooking in England, thank God!

Food underwhelming and very salty, service poor. Mid-week dinner visit. Restaurant quiet and thus front of house and waiting staff very distracted. No management evident. Also, why do they use cleaning products in dining areas whilst customers are eating?

Excellent venue with the service as good as expected in a Cote. The food was of a high standard. All the eating houses we passed on the way from our hotel were either half or totaly empty, but not the Cote!

Disappointed for first time ever. Main course of haddock parmentier dry and stodgy. We complained and received complimentary desserts and coffee. Hope it doesn’t happen again.

I very much enjoyed my meal. The only thing I didn't like was that they put the optional tip already on the bill before you pay.

February set menu is very good, and includes the delicious smoked salmon with sourdough toast as a starter. However we always find that we have to order a side of vegetables because the main courses are not complete in that way, which is a shame.

The food was good as expected and the staff friendly and helpful. The timing was also good - not too rushed but also no long waits to be served. A very pleasant evening in a lively atmosphere.
